"Bea..."

Colt was stunned.

Bea had always been the epitome of dignity and had never faced such humiliation. The thought of her leaving on this rickety tractor was worse than death. Yet, here she was, agreeing to it!

"What's the point in disagreeing? Do you really want to walk back?" Bea's face was etched with disgust. In this weather, walking two miles in high heels was practically a death sentence. But what could she do now, even if she was unwilling? Seeing her resolve, Colt could only say, "Alright, Bea."

Just as Adler was about to hand over the keys, Jenna gave him a knowing look. Adler stepped back.

"What more do you want?" Bea snapped.

"It's simple. Since we're not exactly buddies, if Bea wants to take our ride, she should pay up, right?"

"What? You're actually asking me for money for this piece of junk?" Bea's face darkened.

"Bea, you're missing the point. This 'piece of junk' is sparing you from the harsh sun and wind. It's definitely worth something."

"You!" Bea couldn't take it anymore. She tried to slap Jenna, but Jenna, being young and quick, easily dodged.

Jenna smirked. "Bea, this is a friendly price. Just give us a thousand dollars, and we won't ask for more."

"A thousand dollars? Are you out of your mind?" Bea started to throw a tantrum. "For an old tractor, you're actually demanding a thousand? You... You're unbelievable!"

"Bea, think it through. It's only a thousand dollars. I'm not even asking for a million. The tractor's worth sixty grand, and if you were to ding it, that would be awful, won't it? I think a thousand is just right."

QUMS

Jenna turned to Adler and asked, "Babe, don't you think I'm right?"

"Absolutely!" Adler replied. "If it were me, I'd definitely ask for ten grand. Bea, you're lucky to have run into Jenna's kindness!"

Bea felt like she was about to suffocate. Colt held her steady and said, "Bea, maybe... we should just let it go."

"Fine! Take it!" Bea pulled out her wallet and almost threw it at Jenna. "See? I'll give you all of it! Enough to buy another one and still have cash left over!" Jenna calmly opened the wallet, replaceing only a bank card inside.

"Adler, bring the card reader."

"Right away!" Adler pulled out a card reader from behind.

Bea's face turned green at the sight of it.

"Password Jenna said, placing the card reader in front of Bea. "Just the card without the password is rather cheeky, don't you think? You didn't actually believe I wouldn't ask, did you?"

"You..." Bea fumed but had no choice. She reluctantly typed in her PIN.

Seeing the account balance was over a million, Jenna didn't hesitate to transfer all of it.
