Griffin felt like he'd been hit by a truck, completely unable to move.

Colby smirked, "Honestly, in a fair fight, I wouldn't stand a chance against you. Too bad you're not as clever as I am."

Griffin could only lie there, speechless. Colby turned to his men and ordered, "Cuff him, chain his legs, throw him in the trunk, and take him back to the city." "Yes, boss."

The men quickly grabbed Griffin.

Meanwhile, over at the Devonport Burke Estate...

Jenna glanced at the cut on Sophie's head. "That Griffin's gone too far! He needs a good lesson."

Adler chimed in, "You won't have to worry about that. Colby's probably beat him so bad he wouldn't recognize his own mother!"

Elodie, who was already held captive, stayed silent. Jenna gave her a hard look. "Elodie, this must've been your doing. Sophie was already going easy on your people, and you still resorted to kidnapping? That's low, even for you!" Elodie sneered, "Done with your rant? Yeah, it was me. I'm low and shameless. What are you gonna do about it?"

Jenna's anger flared, and she stepped forward, ready to strike, but Sophie intervened.

"Jenna, it wasn't her."

Jenna paused, "Sophie, I know you're kind-hearted, but we can't afford to be soft on people like her. They'll bite back when you least expect it." Sophie sighed, "It really wasn't her!"

Convinced by Sophie's certainty, Jenna hesitated. "Really?"

Sophie nodded.

Jenna turned back to Elodie, "You can't even control your own people, Ms. Reeves. Some CEO you are."

Elodie remained unfazed. "Ms.

Jenna, over the years, the Dennis family has had plenty of help from the Costello and Tredgold families. Seems like being a CEO is even more disappointing for you than for me.

QUMS

"You-!" Jenna fumed.

"Jenna, Jenna!" Adler quickly held her back. "She's trying to rile you up. Don't fall for it."

Jenna took a deep breath to calm down. "Sure, I've had help from the Costello and Tredgold families. But so what? Having a lot of relatives isn't my fault. As for you, Ms. Reeves, always acting on your own... I've heard your family doesn't think too highly of you. This whole mess started because of their debt collectors, right? If it wasn't for Sophie's generosity, you'd be in even deeper trouble. Honestly, you're the one who's pitiful here. Seeing how pathetic you are, I almost feel bad for arguing with you."

Elodie stayed silent, knowing Jenna was hitting where it hurt. She was indeed aloof and autocratic, and her relationship with the Reeves family was strained.

Just then, Colby returned with Griffin. Seeing Griffin in handcuffs and leg irons, Elodie's eyes grew cold.
