Chapter 46

"Ow!" Kevin winced in pain as his head hit against the tree, "Calm down-" Before he could complete his sentence, she came at him again, his eyes widened in horror as she attacked him head-on, he barely managed to dodge her.

"I know you've gotten much better... that would be an understatement-" He parried her attack, he then bound her hands together, "are you seriously planning to kill me?" He yelled at her but she didn't respond she shrugged his hand off her and threw him on the ground, with her long nails she was about to dig them into his shoulders but they dug the soil instead as he quickly rolled away to the right.

"Alex!" He yelled her name but she wasn't listening, "Did you lose your mind again?" His brows furrowed. She attacked him left and right, he jumped back trying to avoid her sharp nails when his back hit the tree he realized, he was doomed, he shut his eyes surrendering himself. The loud thud made him flinch, his eyes then snapped open only to replace him caged between Alex and the tree, "Were you surrendering to death?" She clicked her tongue as she shook her head, "Whoa!" His legs gave away and he landed on his butt, she stepped back and looked at him in pity.

"What's with that look?" He complained.

"You gave up too soon," She clicked her tongue.

"Excuse me? We've been sparring no, no let me correct, battling, no it's actually me fighting for my life, for like 4 hours?" He glared at her.

"We're continuing," Her lips formed a tight line when her ears picked up the rustling noise.

"Are you actually planning to kill me?" Kevin was horrified, "this isn't training, you're planning my murder!" He complained. His eyes then fell on Reagan who had been walking towards them, "What the hell did you do that she's taking it out on me?" Kevin eyed him accusingly.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Reagan shrugged.

"Well, well," Kevin shook his head, "Anyway, now that you're here, you guys can fight till death, hmm? I'm outta here," He got up and strode away.

Alexa too turned around and was about to leave when Reagan came and stood right in front of her, she narrowed her eyes at him, "Still mad at me?" He raised his brows.

She smiled at him and held his arm, she then spun around placing her back against him, she pulled him over her shoulder and threw him on the ground. "Ow!" he complained as he laid on the ground. She shrugged at him and began to walk away but in an instant, he was in front of her blocking her path again.

She was about to hit him but he blocked her punch, instead, he spun her around and locked her arms against her chest, "How long are you going to keep this up?" He asked her. She struggled to free herself, he clicked his tongue, "It's no use," He leaned closer as he nuzzled her hair, brushing his lips against her ear he whispered, sending shivers down her spine.

She leaned back against him tilting her neck to the side, giving him better access, "Alex," He whispered before letting her go. Her eyes snapped open, he did it again! she clenched her fist in anger, she turned around to punch him but he held her hand and chuckled as he kissed her fist, she pushed him away and ran from there.

Later at night,

"You're not going to open up?" He knocked on the door for the 100th time.

"You can just go to hell!" She shouted from inside.

"Didn't you start it first?" He heaved a sigh.

"Get lost!" She yelled.

"So, finally, ready to go home?" Lia asked her as she finished packing her bags.

"Yes!" Alexa screamed with joy, "I missed seeing you guys," She pulled her into a tight hug.

"I missed you too," Lia returned the hug with a wide smile.

As soon as they got back, Conner ran to them and hugged her tight, "I missed you too, Conner," Alexa smiled as she returned the hug.

"I'm in line too, you know," Murphy tapped on his sister's shoulder who refused to let Alexa go. "Fine then," he shook his head, he then grinned to himself as he threw his arms around them, "whoa! Calm down guys, you're squeezing her," Lia scolded them but herself joined them in a group hug. "Should I join too?" Kevin wiggled his brows, "NO!" Alexa yelled in protest, "Sure, great!" Kevin wrapped his arms around them literally squeezing them.

"Oh, I'm here too," Tyler joined from behind.

"I'm dead!" Alexa let out a defeated sigh.

After full 2 minutes, they finally let her go, "thank you, I almost died there," She heaved a sigh of relief.

"We're just so happy to see you back," Conner squeezed her again.

"I am too," Alexa squeezed her back, "Are you okay?" Alexa then eyed her with worry.

"Of course I am, you saved me out there, you were such a badass," Conner squealed cheerfully.

"Let's not bring my dark past here," Alexa smiled nervously.

"No way! That was way too cool to be called dark," Conner shook her head.

"Now I'm worried about your definition for cool and dark," Alexa cleared her throat.

"And guess what?" Murphy intervened, "Our Conner, this werewolf actually has a werewolf as her lover," he announced.

Conner smiled with pride, "Thank you, thank you," She winked at them.

"And guess who is it?" Murphy spoke giving eerie background music to create the suspense, "it's none other than-"

"Tyler," Alexa completed his sentence as she turned to Tyler, "Congratulations," she hugged him.

"You knew?" Murphy's face fell, "Come on, Alex, you ruined it, at least pretend to be shocked," he clicked his tongue. "Now, now," Lia patted his head.

As the group went ahead, Alexa and Tyler slowed their pace, he then stopped in his track, Alexa turned to him and raised her brows, "What's wrong?"

Tyler then knelt down in front of her and bowed his head, "I couldn't tell you before but thank you for protecting her," He bowed deeply, "Hey, Tyler, you're embarrassing me!"She protested.

"No, please let me," He shook his head, "I'm really grateful for what you did for her, I can't thank you enough, I may not be that capable but I swear you my loyalty if I could do anything for you please do not hesitate to give an order," He bowed again.

"Oh stop it, it's giving me chills," Alexa got goosebumps with his cheesy lines, "And you don't need to do anything, I didn't do any favor, she's my friend too Tyler, and if anything, I'm more than pleased to be able to help her and even in future, I'd do anything and everything for you guys, now, get up already!" She asked him feeling flustered.

He laughed, nodding he got up on his feet, she heaved a sigh, "Anyway, by the looks of it, she's back to her old self but I still wanted to ask, is she really okay?" She asked him.

"She doesn't remember anything from the past or anything related to it," He smiled at her. "She has accepted me though and that's more than I could ever ask for, she doesn't need to remember anything at all," His voice shook.

"Is that why you didn't tell her anything even though you were always around her?" Alexa asked.

"I was never going to tell her anything, I didn't want her to remember anything at all, the memories would have only hurt her more"

"But now all is good, isn't it?" She smiled at him.

"Hmm," He raised his head and looked at Conner who was busy gawking at Reagan, "If ogling at other men when she's got her mate right here is good, then I guess, it's good enough," he chuckled.

Alexa laughed out aloud, "I sense something burning huh?" she teased him, her eyes then fell on Conner, following her gaze she found Reagan, her smile disappeared.

"You're the one to talk, I'm only burnt a little but I can see you're charred," He clicked his tongue, "Jealousy has no cure," he chuckled.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Alexa immediately averted her gaze.

"Whatever you say, your highness," he suppressed his laugh as he resumed his walk.
