Second Chance Mates -
Epilogue
Looking up at the screaming children being chased by their dad’s I couldn’t help but smile. We were having a family BBQ at the Senior Currie home. My three girls were keeping Callum busy, while the other children were trying to throw water balloons at their dad’s.
Heather and Cameron had gone on to have two more children, they had two boys and a girl. Rory and Guthrie had two pups, one of each.
I had been blessed with three girls and Callum was wrapped round their little fingers. He got teased about having girls, but he kept telling everyone that he was surrounding himself with strong beautiful girls.
I was currently nursing another pregnancy. Daisy was eight, Bella six and our youngest Holly was four. I was bigger this time around, but as this was my fourth pregnancy, I let everyone assume it was because at that, but I had a surprise in store for my sexy mate. I was pregnant with twins. I also felt different this time and I was convinced I was having boys, so I wanted to wait until Iris confirmed this.
I know Callum didn’t mind having girls, but having your own boy was just something else. I was lucky that having so many kids my body returned back to fairly normal. A little bit saggy here and there and my go faster stretch marks, but Callum always found me desirable.
The following week, the day before Callum’s birthday, Iris did indeed confirm I was having identical twin boys. I couldn’t help the smile on my face.
That night, once the children were in bed full of birthday cake, I seduced my mate and made love. Lying in his arms after, he was stroking my belly.
I turned round in his arms; his face contented. “I have another surprise for you,” I whispered.
“You didn’t need to get me anything else my love,” he replied.
I handed him a small package, inside was t-shirt. ‘Daddy to twin boys’ was printed on it with a copy of the scan picture.
He just stared at it not saying anything.
“Are you sure, you’re really sure?” he whispered, looking over at me.
“Yes, Iris confirmed. I knew about the twins ages ago, but I had a feeling about it being boys, so wanted to wait.”
“You make me the happiest man alive Elsie, my love, my soulmate,” he told me as he took me in his arms.
“And you me Callum.”
“You know it wouldn’t have bothered me if we had more girls,” he began.
“I know,” interrupting him. “But you need help for when the mates come knocking,” I giggled out.
He groaned out, “fuck Elsie, don’t remind me. I’ll be training those boys to be guard wolves for their big sisters…”
I couldn’t help but laugh. Our girls didn’t know what was going to hit them when they turned of age.
I snuggled down into my mate’s arms, feeling sleep pull me.
“I love you with all my heart Elsie,” Callum shared though our link, kissing the back of my neck.
“I love you too Callum, today and always,” I reply, placing my hand over his, resting on our sons.
