So, Shall We Get Married? -
Chapter 1
-And what’s the plan for tonight? Because I assume you have a plan for later.
Olivia’s co-worker Leticia asks her as she folds some clothes on a rack. Olivia watches her, then continues with her work.
-It’s Saturday, so tonight you should go out and enjoy yourself,” she adds.
-Please, Leticia, don’t go on about it.
-Girlfriend, seriously, you need to get out more and connect with the world. Maybe get a boyfriend, or something.
-Leticia…
-Really my friend, I’m not saying this to be mean, but you really need to get out with a man. You know, a nice dinner, a good wine, visit a romantic and exotic place,” The brunette smiles while wiggling her body. After all the trite date stuff, comes the best part, a night full of s*x, until you’re exhausted.
In a way, Olivia agreed with Leticia, she needed to date someone who would make her feel special, even if it was just for one night. But men were so complicated, and she just couldn’t get lucky with them. Well, it wasn’t that she had a lot of experience with them, but the few she had gone out with didn’t end well.
If it wasn’t because they were unfaithful before they started having something serious, it was because they never called her again. Or worst case scenario, she would replace out that the guy was well married. She still remembered when she had that date with that guy, he made her crawl under the table in the middle of dinner because his wife had come to the restaurant looking for him like a crazy woman.
Undoubtedly, that had been the worst of his only three dates… what’s more, he didn’t even want to remember them. Why, it didn’t help at that time. Especially when her co-worker was lecturing her, as if she had nothing to occupy her thoughts.
-I don’t have an appointment, if that’s what you’re asking. And stop bothering me with that, you know the right man will come along on his own. I don’t have to go around looking for him, things don’t work that way, Leticia.
-Yes they do, you know they do. You just don’t want to admit it.
-Sure, like it happened to me with the three guys I went out with.” The brunette looks at her after putting a beautiful silk dress on a hook, which she hung on a display stand.
-That’s a different kettle of fish, Oliva,” the brunette rolls her eyes.
-Forget it, we’d better get back to work before the manager comes and scolds us.
The brunette denies at the same time she closes a closet and opens another one… both girls worked as sales clerks in the prestigious boutique of the most famous and elegant hotel in Jacksonville. It was a store frequented by the wealthiest people in town, and of course, by all the guests there.
It was a good job, and Olivia tried to keep it and not lose it like everyone else. She was not a bad employee, she just didn’t like it when the boss abused her trust. Her last job didn’t work out very well for her, unfortunately, she had a boss who was very long-handed. And that was an important reason for her to quit.
But not at the boutique, her boss happened to be a woman, and she had no problems with her. She was bossy, but she could deal with that.
-Olivia, we need to go in the back to get some boxes, we need to fill these shelves.
-Yes, I’m coming.
As soon as the brunette left for the storage room, the glass door to the store opens. Leticia looks up and her eyes widen. Her heart began to
her heart began to pound as she saw the man approaching.
Olivia grabbed the box she needed, and set out to return to the store. As soon as she did, she looked around for her co-worker, and found her attending to a man that would make any woman with b***d in her veins’ veins stand on end.
That was instantly, olive’s heart started jumping like crazy. Never in her life had she experienced such a thing, this man was provoking in her a strange sensation inside her.
The young woman admired his hard, but elegant features, he was blond, but not one of those almost albino ones. Rather, his skin was tanned, and his hair was not quite yellow, it was like a light brown. Although she couldn’t see the color of his eyes, she assumed they were colored. Well, he thought so. Then he took his gaze to the rest of her body, she was wearing a very expensive suit, but you could tell that underneath it existed a gods body.
She put the box down on the counter, while she stared raptly at the customer. It was wrong what she was doing, but at the end of the day he wasn’t looking at her. The strange thing was that, for such an attractive man, Leticia was behaving so straight. Of course it was forbidden to flirt with the customers, but that didn’t mean they were going to be treated so dryly.
Suddenly, and without warning, the customer turns his face and looks at Olivia, who keeps staring at him. She, realizing what was happening, immediately starts to take things out of the box and turns around. She was nervous, she had been caught red-handed.
After a few minutes, Leticia spoke behind Olivia’s back, causing her to gasp.
-Damn it, Leticia! Don’t do that,” she expressed in horror.
-What the hell is wrong with you?
-Nothing.
-Why do you look like a piece of paper? By the way, did you see the man I was attending?
-No, I didn’t see him,” she answers as if he were just another customer.
-You should have seen him, he is made by the hand of the gods themselves.
-You shouldn’t be talking about customers like that.
-But that’s not just any client, he’s….
-You two! What are you supposed to have been doing?
The girls looked back, noticing that their boss was standing with her arms crossed. Now they were really in trouble, they had left her a task for that afternoon, and they hadn’t even done half of the work.
[…]As Caleb left the boutique, he thought for a moment as he looked at the bag of the order he had placed. He wondered if that dress he picked out for the woman he was going out with that night was the one – well, he always knew what to buy women. But, that evening, he felt kind of indecisive, why would that be?
Well, whatever it was, it didn’t matter anymore. He bought the dress and that woman would have to wear it. He was going out with her until that night anyway, his time together had run out. He advanced through the corridor full of tents, followed by one of his bodyguards.
-Is the car ready? -He asked his follower, at the same time that he advanced without looking to the sides.
-Yes, sir. He is waiting for you at the entrance.
Caleb advanced towards the exit, knowing that he was the center of attention of all those who knew him and those who did not. But he didn’t even flinch, it was normal for him to attract people’s attention and even more, being the owner of that hotel.
