Chapter 74

Aria’s POV

When I emerged from the water, gasping for breath, there were arms wrapped around my waist and my hands grabbed bare shoulders as I opened my eyes and they collided with eyes of pale blue that reminded me of the sky in a clear day.

The water suddenly didn’t feel cold anymore as I looked at him, my hands holding on to his shoulders as he pulled me flush against his chest, his forehead resting against mine.

“This was not how I wanted today to go.” He whispered and there was a delicious chill that travelled down my spine at his words.

“How did you want today to go?” I answered and when he smiled, I realized that I was toying with danger because there was nothing left of my heart. I had already given all of it to him.

I was already in too deep and it was too late for me at this point.

“I wanted to be normal today. And do what normal people would do. What I guess you would enjoy doing. Something utterly mundane and chaste.”

“There is nothing chaste about the way your hands are on my a*s right now though” I said with a gasp when his hand travelled down my body and grabbed my a*s, kneading and causing butterflies to erupt in my belly.

It made me want to beg him to never let go of me.

It made me want to ask him to be with him forever like this. Just the two of us, far away from the world and anything that could separate us.

It felt like I was in a dream.

“Do you want me to stop?” He whispered against my lips and when I shook my head quickly, he chuckled, palming my a*s again and when I shivered, he gestured towards the bridge.

“We need to get you out of the cold, sweetheart. You’re shivering.” He said and I wanted to argue but I realized that he was right when I shook again and slowly, he led us out of the water.

“I parked my car somewhere far from here, but my shirt is dry.” Reaching for his shirt where he had hung it on the branch of a tree, he handed it to me “You can wear this.”

Nodding, I took the shirt from him shyly and when I cleared my throat, his lips tilted up in a smirk.

“What do you want, Aria?” He said in a tone that made me think it seduction and I swallowed nervously.

“I need you to turn around” I answered and even though I knew it was ridiculous because he had basically been eating me out on his desk barely hours ago, that was different for me. He was yet to see all of me naked.

Even when he had come to my room and helped me touch myself, I had been hidden by the sheets.

He nodded, his smile still wide and when he turned around, I quickly got rid of my clothes down to my underwear and wore his black long sleeved shirt that looked like it was a gown for me, stopping mid thigh.

Even the sleeves of the shirt covered my fingers.

Picking up my wet clothes and wringing them, I cleared my throat to signal to him that I was done changing and when he turned around, his eyes darkened as he looked at me and I realized that my n*****s were hard like tight beads, rubbing against the fabric of the shirt as they stood out.

The fabric of his shorts stuck to his body that looked like he was carved out of a battle novel with the arms of a Titan and the body of an Adonis. Water trickled down his chest to his abs and I fought the urge to think about licking his bare skin like a cannibal.

We stared at each other for a long moment, his throat bobbing as the tension between us thickened and the moment broke when I shivered again.

“Wait here. I’ll bring the car to you.”

“No, I’m fine.” I panicked, not ready to go back yet when I had not even been anywhere close to having that picnic. He must have seen what I was worried about in my eyes because he shook his head.

“Don’t worry, sweetheart, we are not leaving just yet.”

Nodding in relief, I watched as he disappeared and several minutes later, as I checked my phone which thankfully was still working because I had somehow dropped it on the picnic basket before going to look into the water, Roma drove back and got down from the car, walking over to me.

“Being in the car will be a lot warmer” He said as he led me to the passenger seat and I reluctantly followed him.

“Where did you get new shorts to wear?” I asked and he gave me a pointed look.

“Wolves have a habit of changing and the change ripping their clothes apart, Aria.”

“Oh.” I replied and when he chuckled, I rolled my eyes.

“I’m certainly not doing Wolf 101, am I?” I said to myself as my eyes zeroed in on his tight a*s in the shorts as he walked towards the bridge and picked up as many snacks as he could carry before heading other towards the car.

“What’s going on?” I asked in confusion when he packed up the blanket but he didn’t say anything until he was sitting beside me in the car, my eyes still stuck on his bare chest as he settled down and caught me staring at him.

“We are about to have our very own picnic inside the car so that you can stay warm and still have the picnic” he whispered with a smile as he cupped my chin and

If my heart had not melted before, it did now.

The car was quiet and filled with tension that appeared just as that Roma’s phone rang and when he picked up the call and placed the phone in his ear, I knew from the way his face changed that something had happened that would cut our picnic short and when his gaze turned apologetic, I shook my head.

“It’s okay.” I told him but he shook his head and reached out to squeeze my thigh gently, a move that had me freezing in my seat as my body reacted to his warm grip on my thigh

“No, it’s not. I really wanted you to have this today. Something mundane and…”

“Chaste” I finished for him and when our eyes met, his hands moved higher up by thigh and his eyes darkened.

“I can smell your desire now, Aria.” He whispered and just as he was about to remove his hand, I held on to it, moving it under his shirt and watching as his eyes widened in pleasurable surprise, it made me feel bold.

“And what are you going to do about it?” I answered.

His lips curved up in a smirk and when his hands gently thumbed my clit, I knew that the battle had just begun.

“Oh, I’m going to do a lot more, sweetheart. A lot more.”
