Sold To The Demon Alpha -
Chapter 85
Aria’s POV
“What do you want?” I asked Carlos, trying my best to remain calm even though I was shaking in fear at the fact that he was standing in my room, my sanctuary and looking around as if he was here to get information.
Carlos was the kind of handsome that made you wonder if women were truly attracted especially because it was his cruelty that shadowed his face, his smile, his every moment poised like a predator that was looking for how to strike.
“Well, well, well, my brother is definitely enjoying, isn’t he?” He answered, gesturing to the decorated room and when he took a step forward, I took another step back, looking around for something that I could use to defend myself because the only thing I could feel from him was the need to harm.
That was all I had ever gotten from him since I stepped into this pack. And he didn’t exactly have a good history either.
“I’m genuinely curious. What exactly did you give to my brother? I’ve been watching you since you came to this pack and I’ve never seen my brother lose his head over a woman. Not even Selene got to see this side of him. Perhaps because she was even gentler than you and liked only pretty things. But you, you’re much darker, aren’t you? You look like a flower and yet, you sleep on that bed with a demon every night. Something his dear mate would have never been able to do. And then there is the fact that somehow, with that innocent face, you beat Salem at her own game for my brother’s heart that I thought he had long buried with his pregnant mate. I can’t understand it.”
“Please leave. You’re scaring me.” I stuttered and took steps further away from him, looking towards the door and hoping someone would show up.
When he looked in the direction of the door, he smirked as he looked back at me.
“I know that you don’t think of me as much since you’re f*****g my powerful Alpha of a half brother but in his and Raphael’s absence, I’m the highest ranked person in the pack. And the two of them have left to town and will not be back for some time. And yes, I have ordered that no one disturbs the Lady of the Mansion, so that should buy me some time to figure out exactly what is special about you. Tell me, Aria, is it your p***y? Is that what has my brother hooked? I’d like to replace out for myself.”
I tried to make a run for the door and he grabbed me, throwing me on the bed and holding me down as he ripped my robe and bra, leaving my chest exposed for his view.
Leaning down, he took one of my n*****s in his mouth even as I struggled against him and bit hard and I screamed but his hand covered my mouth as he rocked his hard e******n directly against my crotch.
Tears trickled down my cheeks because I knew that no help was coming. And Carlos was going to get away with raping me.
Before anyone would replace me, it would be too late.
“Don’t worry, beautiful. Just a little taste. It won’t hurt if you stay still.” Carlos whispered, making my skin crawl with revulsion.
He had just ripped my panties when the door opened gently and Roma entered, holding a bouquet of flowers.
The bouquet fell to the ground when he saw the scene in front of him and I couldn’t recognize the man I loved.
Because one moment, he was human and the next, he was the monster that monsters feared.
Roma’s POV
Something was broken inside me. It had to be my fault that horrible things happened to the people I loved.
I knew it the minute I walked into Aria’s bedroom and found the same exact nightmare that I had dreamed happening.
The same thing that had happened to Selene on that rainy night. The incident that had made me snap and turned me into the monster was repeating itself.
History was repeating itself.
Fate was indeed a cruel and ruthless creature.
To think that the only reason I had not gone for that meeting yet was because I had gone into the woods with Roma just because I wanted to give the woman I loved flowers just before I left in case I took longer that I had promised.
A love sick man, Raphael had laughed as he helped me and for the first time in a long time, I had smiled with a nod because it didn’t feel so bad to admit that I was in love.
I still hadn’t figured out how to keep her with me forever but I wasn’t giving up on the hope that we would replace a way.
I had thought everything was different this time.
But as I welcomed the Beast, for the first time, I was fully conscious and in sync with the Demon inside me, allowing it to lend me power as I dragged Carlos and flung him against the wall.
There was a scream that sounded like an annoying gnat and without thinking, I flicked off the source of that scream as easily as I would a pesky little fly.
But I didn’t look back. I didn’t think. I didn’t feel. I just was.
A monster. A Beast. The Alpha that other Alphas were scared of.
I had killed my father with my bare hands. Torn out his throat and had regretted that I had made his death quick.
Carlos would not be granted the same mercy.
Hitting him over and over again, but with just enough power to make sure that I didn’t crush his skull, I didn’t get off him until Raphael roared.
“Stop. You’re scaring her!”
Confused, I turned away from what I was very delighted to be doing and my b***d chilled to see my mate on the ground, wrapped in a duvet with Raphael at her side as she sobbed and shook.
B***d dripped all over the side of her face as she tried to hide her injury from me… Three giant claw marks.
I… I had done that?
My stomach dropped.
Looking around the room that she had decorated and back at her, I saw for the first time the same look I had seen in the eyes of Selene just before she died.
Aria was looking at me for the first time like she could not recognize me.
Two other sentinels rushed into the room and Raphael ordered them to lock Carlos up as I rose from his unconscious body, heading towards my mate.
But instead of waiting for me, she put distance between us and hid behind Raphael, whimpering and shaking.
“Please, don’t.” She whispered and that was when I realized how bad the injury was.
f*****g hell.
“You clawed at her when she tried to stop you.” Raphael said solemnly and that was enough for me to look at my bloodied hands.
“I’ll take her to Scian.” He added and I could only watch, aware that my eyes were still bright red as I looked at my mate.
“Aria?” I whispered, my voice nothing human and she paused as Raphael escorted her out to look at me.
“I’m sorry.”
She didn’t say anything. She didn’t smile. Instead more tears trickled down her cheeks and as Raphael helped her walk out of the room, I knew that I had lost my mate.
And this time, it was probably for good again.
