Chapter 80 Mass Resignation
“What did you say?”
Pamela stood up in shock, her beautiful face pale.
“Didn’t I make myself clear?’
Marsh blew out a smoke ring, and he felt wonderful. “Don’t blame me for being despicable andshameless. We are in a commercial battle. This is the so-called society. Pamela, you are too naive!”
Giselle chimed in with ridicule, “I think Pamela is still immersed in the sense of accomplishment ofmaking the branch company bigger these years! Now that she has seen how capable you are, and youdefeated her so easily, of course, it is too much for her! She is so weak, I wonder who says she is themost capable among the younger generation of the Windsor family!” She spat after finishing speaking.
The two of them were so sarcastic that Regina couldn’t stand it anymore. “Pamela promoted theemployees of the company personally. Over the past few years, we have been through many ups anddowns together. You can’t buy us off easily!”
“You won’t be easily bought off?”
Marsh sneered, whistled, and shouted, ‘The people working downstairs, listen up! I will only give youten minutes. Those who decide to resign, hand in your resignation letters now! As for those who do notwant to resign, you know the consequences. Just remember, whoever offends me, Marsh, will not endup well in New York!”
Marsh’s words immediately caused a commotion downstairs.
Soon, a man wearing glasses ran up the stairs with a resignation letter that he had just printed in hishand.
He smiled at Marsh and Giselle fawningly. Then he walked to Pamela and placed the resignation letteron the desk.
“Pamela, thank you for taking care of me these years!”
After saying that, he turned around and stood behind Marsh. He bent slightly, looking like a snob.
Immediately after, a girl with long, yellow hair went upstairs and placed her resignation letter onPamela’s desk.
“Pamela, the world is so big. I want to see the world!”
Then she stood behind Marsh, looking nervous and excited.
Another person went upstairs…
Ten minutes later!
of the thirty employees of Pamela’s branch company, twenty-three of them had handed in theirresignation letters and stood behind Marsh.
The remaining seven employees stayed in the office, standing beside Pamela, looking furious!
All of them were relatively young and were all recruited by Pamela after graduation in the last twoyears.
Marsh curled his lips in dissatisfaction and looked at the seven employees. “Have you made up yourmind?
You only have one chance!”
Regina replied in a huff, “There’s nothing to think about! I’m not going to join you anyway!”
The designer, Derick Dryden, was beside Regina, He said, “When I graduated and couldn’t replace a job, itwas Pamela who gave me a chance. No matter what happened, I would never betray her!”
The sales representative, Natalia Jonson, who had a relatively hot temper, scolded those behind Marshwith a slushed face, “Do you have any conscience? How could you betray Pamela at this criticalmoment? Have you forgotten how nice Pamela has been to you?
“Brycen Newman! Half a year ago, your son had heart surgery. When Pamela knew, she transferred 3thousand dollars to you right away, and she never asked you to pay it back. Have you forgotten?
“Lizeth Maria, two months ago, your boyfriend beat someone up. The man ended up in the hospital andthreatened to sue your boyfriend. Wasn’t it Pamela who helped you settle it?
“Keyla Lytton, you are worse than them. Last month, because of your negligence, our company lost abig order of 250 thousand dollars. You should have been kicked out. But were you? Is this how yourepay Pamela for indulging you?
“And the rest of you, ask yourselves! Which one of you doesn’t owe Pamela a favor? Who dares tostand up and confront me?”
Natalia’s words made the people behind Marsh lower their heads, embarrassed.
Because the truth was, all of them were taken care of by Pamela.
They admitted that Pamela was a great leader, and they were lucky to have her as their leader…
Seeing that, Marsh took a step forward and snorted, ‘You can talk! I’ll give you that! It is a pity that youare too young and fail to understand how society works! People do things for the sake of themselves.Pamela can’t even save herself. Why should others help her? This is nothing but moral abduction!”
As he spoke, he turned around and asked the employees who submitted their resignation letters, “Am Iright?”
Someone immediately responded.
“Yes! We are workers. Others aren’t related to us. Pamela has an agenda of being nice to us. Shewants us to work harder for her!”
“That’s right! You claim that she’s nice to me. Then why doesn’t she give me all her money? Whydoesn’t she make me the boss? She pays for a live-in husband herself! Isn’t she embarrassed byherself?
‘There are some things that I have wanted to say for a long time. Pamela is just a nobody in theWindsor family. She can’t make any great achievements. Anyone not stupid would follow Mr. Windsor.Only a far-sighted boss like Mr. Windsor can realize the value of our lives!”
“Yes! Mr. Windsor and Ms. Windsor are the best!”
“Pamela and her good-for-nothing husband should be kneeling and begging for food!”
Their words were filled with sarcasm.
Hearing those words, the seven employees who defended Pamela trembled with anger.
They were stunned. Their colleagues, who had been working with them for several years now, wouldbecome entirely different!
Those people had lost even the most basic sense of shame!
“Enough!”
Pamela interrupted the ridicule of the group of people.
Her eyes were red, and she forced herself to smile. She said to everyone, “Sorry to make you so bitter.I did not do well enough. Since you all have a better choice, I will not keep you any longer! You mayleave!”
Marsh sneered, “Pamela, don’t act like we are ganging up to bully you. No one will sympathize withyou! You make me sick!”
Giselle said sarcastically, “She is kicking us out! We should give her the last chance to boss around, right? After all, she is still in charge of this place for now. But in two days… Tsk, tsk! This place will beturned into a utility room. I will arrange for a certain someone to clean the toilet! Let’s see how arrogantshe will be by then!”
The crowd behind her burst into laughter.
Pamela pursed her lips in grievance, unable to say a word!
Marsh waved his hand. “Let’s go! I am in a good mood today. I will take you to a big meal. Startingtomorrow, your salary will be raised by fifty percent!”
*Awesome!
“That’s wonderful!”
“Mr. Windsor is the best!”
The people surrounded Marsh and Giselle and went out of the office.
When they were about to go down the stairs, Joshua, who remained silent for a long time, narrowed hiseyes and smiled at them, ‘Things change. Two days later, when you come back crying and begging formercy, don’t blame me for turning you down.”
