Introduction
DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder): Dissociative Identity Disorder, also known as multiple personality disorder, is when a person has several different personalities rather than one integrated personality. Someone with DID can have any number of personalities. The different personalities can represent many different ages and both sexes. Often, the two personalities will be the opposite of each other. People with DID commonly have a history of sexual abuse or some other childhood trauma.
