Chapter 36
Betty would never expect Sigmund to be so ruthless that he randomly threw her to a complete stranger.
Betty thought angrily, “All this is because of Becky.
“Why is she always haunting my life and appearing to ruin my plan?”
Betty got mad at Becky and gritted her teeth. However, Betty could not openly show her dissatisfaction since Sigmund was still there.
Betty thought Sigmund would show her some respect since she had asked him in that
manner.
However, Betty was so shocked that she stood still when she heard Sigmund’s response.
Sigmund replied to Betty, “No, I’ve got no time. Are you going home? You should hurry up then. Don’t ask this gentleman to wait too long for you.”
Words slowly jumped out from Sigmund’s thin lips. He spoke plainly as if he felt nothing wrong with his answer.
Cristian looked at Sigmund and Betty back and forth. In the end, Cristian fixed his gaze on
Becky.
Cristian asked, “Becky, what about you? Are you leaving now?”
Cristian tried to seize the last chance to win Becky’s favor. After all, he went there for a meal to spend time with Becky, although Sigmund and Betty’s sudden intrusion ruined the
meal.
Becky knew she would experience a feeling of suffocation when being with Sigmund alone.
Thus, when Cristian asked if Becky wanted to come together, Becky replied without thinking, “Sure.”
When speaking, Becky grabbed her handbag from the seat. Then she got up and was about to leave with Cristian.

However, when Becky stood up, Sigmund grabbed her wrist tightly.
Becky turned around to look at Sigmund in confusion.
Becky thought, “I don’t know what Sigmund exactly wants. After the divorce, his every
move is strange.
“Didn’t Sigmund say he doesn’t like me? Then why does he keep annoying me after the
divorce?”
Sigmund’s sudden move scared Cristian and Betty. Seeing that, Betty grabbed her handbag tightly and cried inside, “Becky, if you know what’s good for you, you should immediately let go of Sigmund!”
Cristian felt the coldness emanating from Sigmund.
At that time, Cristian was praying for himself. He thought, “What’s wrong? Why do I feel I will get fired tomorrow because of something?”
When Cristian was worrying if he would get fired tomorrow, Sigmund tilted his head and looked at Cristian, explaining, “I can drive Becky home. After all, she is my friend. People may laugh at me if I ask others to send her home.”
When speaking the second half of the sentence, Sigmund withdrew his eyes and looked at Becky.
Sigmund deliberately stressed the word “friend.”
It was like that word squeezed out from Sigmund’s teeth.
Then Cristian took the unhappy Betty and left first. When Becky looked at Cristian in the distance for a second, Sigmund said mockingly, “What? Sad to see him leave? Have you already liked him so much after working at the company for a few days?”
Unexpectedly, Sigmund failed to annoy Becky with those words. Instead, Becky could not help but laugh when she heard that.
She said, “Mr. Moolery, do you have the right to teach me a lesson?”
Becky raised her head and looked at Sigmund with a faint smile. She did not wear makeup

but was still stunning under the crystal lamps.
Becky continued, “Remember, we are already divorced. You are my ex–husband. Stop being judgmental and condescending to my life.”
After finishing her words, Becky stood up and was about to take a cab home. However, Sigmund stopped her.
Sigmund said, “I can give you a ride. People will say I mistreat you if they know you had to get a cab home after divorcing me.”
Becky got so angry that she even laughed out.
However, she accepted it since it was a free offer. She did not say anything else and followed Sigmund to the parking lot. Then, Becky opened the door and sat in the car.
The two of them did not say a word on the way. Sigmund wanted to say something a few times. However, he decided to keep his mouth shut when he saw Becky’s cold face.
Sigmund thought, “Well done, Becky. You are impatient with me but keep laughing happily when with another man.”
Sigmund took a turn at a crossing and drove toward the old manor.
Becky asked in a deep voice, “Where are you going? This is not the way to my home.”
Sigmund replied coldly, “I’m too lazy to drive you home.”
Becky was confused and shocked when she heard that.
Becky thought, “Then why did he say he would give me a ride if he is too lazy to drive me
home?”
Becky said, “Well, Mr. Moolery. Since you’re so busy, please pull over and drop me off. I can.
take a cab home.”
However, Sigmund pretended not to hear it.
Becky wasn’t that crazy to open the door and jump off the car. Thus, she had no choice but to put up with it. Then Becky kept silent on the way.

She thought, “Fine. I’ll take it as a visit to Mr. Brigham Moolery.”
When they arrived at the old manor, Becky went upstairs to her room without saying a
word.
However, when Becky entered the room, she saw a servant moving the box on the floor.
The servant seemed surprised to see Becky and cried, “Ms. Wood?”
Becky frowned slightly and asked, “What are you doing?”

The servant explained, “Ms. Wood, I was about to ask you about it. Do want the things in this box and this bag? I will throw them away if you don’t want them anymore.”
Becky stared at the box in the servant’s hand.
In that box were gifts Sigmund had given Becky these past few years and two photos that were taken during their wedding.
Becky just put them away and did not intend to throw them away.
However, when the servant asked if Becky still wanted those things, Becky said, “No, I don’t want them anymore.”
Becky thought, “Let the past completely pass.”
Sigmund sat downstairs without turning on the lights.
The next second, someone turned on the lights.
The servant did not expect Sigmund to be sitting on the sofa and was frightened by his
presence.
The servant patted her chest to calm down and asked, “Mr. Moolery, when did you come
back?”
Then the servant walked outside, holding a box in her left hand and lifting a bag in her right hand. The bag looked shabby.
Sigmund felt the bag look familiar and asked, “What are these?”

Things that VIS.
After the servant was done talking, Sigmund walked to the servant and took over the things in her hand.
Sigmund said plainly, “I’ll handle these things.”
Hearing this, the servant hurriedly gave the stuff to Sigmund. Then she went upstairs.
Sigmund opened the box and found many odds and ends.
In the box were gifts Sigmund had given Becky these past few years, their photos, and some gadgets Sigmund did not understand.
Then Sigmund found a stack of love letters without a signature in the shabby bag.
Sigmund’s face darkened when he saw the love letters, and a coldness emanated from his
body.
After giving the things to Sigmund, the servant secretly went to Becky’s room and reported, “Ms. Wood, Mr. Moolery took over your things and threw them away just now.
