Supernaturals: Legends of Iris. -
Twenty nine.
Iris and the guardians materialised in the middle of the courtyard and I sighed in relief. But they weren't alone. There was a girl, probably in her early teenage years with them.
" We send her on a mission and she comes back with a child." Mr T muttered massaging his temples.
I went to hug her but stopped when I saw her mission suit covered in blood. I cocked my head to the sighed and she shrugged.
" I didn't want to but I had no other choice."
The girl was hiding behind Iris and she poked her head out to look at me. She looked Asian, most likely Korean. She moved to stand beside Iris and gave me a small bow.
" You don't have to do that Ara." Iris said smiling softly at her.
" Let's go." She said as we walked towards the entrance of the school where the Elders, Mr T, Emily, Rose, Seb and the other guardians were standing.
" You are dismissed." She said to the guardians and they left. She then turned to the team that had followed her to the camp and said,
" Great job today. You did amazing. Go clean up you have the rest of the day off."
They smiled and walked towards the dorms. Bryan went towards Rose to kiss her and it was my turn to interrupt with gagging sounds. He rolled his eyes as he ran to the dorms.
" I know you're all wondering why she's with me, but I have an explanation. And I'll tell you once we're inside." Iris stated.
" It better be a good one." Rose muttered as we trudged the hallway towards Mr T's office.
Once we were all seated, she began explaining everything that had happened at the village. Bryan joined us a little while later after cleaning up. Mr T and Emily then began questioning Ara trying to determine what grade to put her in since she hadn't attended a proper school.
Ara answered all their questions incredibly well show casing her knowledge of supernaturals and her intelligence.
" Ara, you are an incredibly smart girl, all your answers have been correct. So we'll put you in the 9th grade and I know for sure you'll have no trouble catching up. When the next session starts we might look into putting you in Advanced classes." Emily said and Ara smiled.
" But training wise, you're really behind. You're gonna have to go through hours of training before you can catch up with other students in your grade." Mr T said and her smile fell.
" I'll see if I can get a teacher or even a student to coach you-"
" That won't be necessary." Iris said cutting in.
" I'll see to it that she meets the training requirement of her grade. I need just 2 weeks."
" Iris you can't possibly do that. You have a lot on your plate with your personal training and training the guardians." Elder Nimah said.
" I'll handle it. Don't worry."
" Are you sure Iris?, Won't that be stressful?" Rose asked and I nodded in agreement.
" I'll manage." Iris replied and Ara smiled.
" Are you done with her?"
" Almost. I just need to assign her a room and-"
" She can stay with us for now." Rose said and Ara's eyes widened.
" That's if you're okay with it." Iris said looking at Ara who nodded in excitement.
" Okay." Emily said.
" You're going to have to stop by my office tomorrow morning to pick your schedule." Emily said to Ara.
" Yes ma'am." She replied and Emily grinned.
" Welcome to Crest Hill High Ara. Lemme give you a tour." Iris said grinning.

Iris's POV.
I gave Ara a tour of the school and it was nostalgic for me. It seemed like yesterday when I was walking down those same halls with my guide. Although Ara knew more about supernaturals than I knew back then.
I took her to the mall and instructed her on what clothes to pick for each day. She had chosen all her clothes except clothes for Friday. I caught her staring at a beautiful white gown and smiled. I placed my hand on her shoulder and she jumped back.
" Oh!, Elysian you scared me."
" You don't have to call me Elysian. Just call me Iris." I said with a small smile.
" My apologies Elysi- I mean Iris."
" And quit being so formal. Relax, I'm not going to bite your head off."
" Yet." I added and she froze.
I laughed and she let out a breath of relief realising that I was joking.
" Why don't you pick the gown?"
" It costs a lot of tickets. I already calculated how many tickets are in the card and how much money will be left if I picked it."
" Well aren't you a little Eistein." I teased and she turned red.
" Well relax, your first purchase in every store as a new student is free."
" Oh!"
" Yeah. And you don't have to worry about money anymore. Stick with me and you'll have everything you need. Being friends with the Elysian has it's perks." I said winking and she grinned.
We walked towards the dorms with our bags in tow. I had cast a spell on them that made them float behind us as we walked.
I opened the door to the dorm room I shared with Rose and she gasped.
" This is bigger than my living room and bedroom combined!" Ara said in awe and I smiled softly.
" Let's set these down in my room."
I opened the door of my room and we entered.
" Wow!" She gasped as she saw the floating solar system and galaxies on the ceiling of my room.
" You like it?" I asked and she nodded frantically.
She set her backpack down and took in the entire room. She touched the book shelf and picked up one of the many trinkets that lined the shelf. It fell and she turned red.
" I'm sorry I didn't mean to-"
" It's okay Ara." I assured as I fixed the broken trinket with magic and I placed it back on the shelf.
" It's fine, see?!" I said and she sighed.
" I'm sorry."
" Ara, I already told you it's fine. You don't have to apologize for everything. You were just curious."
" The other children in my village made me apologize for being alive." She said quietly and I snapped my head up.
No one should ever apologize for being alive.
" Never apologize for being alive. Those children were bullies. They were jealous because of how special you are. You were way smarter than all of them and they wanted to bring you down."
" The next time anyone looks down on you, you brush them off. Because they don't matter. If they can't see how special you are then that means they're not worth it."
She smiled at me and I smiled back. Her eyes moved to something on my night stand and I turned to look at it.
" Who's that?" She asked. She was looking at a picture of my younger brother.
" That is my younger brother. You remind me a lot of him." I said and she smiled.
" So tell me about yourself."
" There really isn't much to tell." She said shyly tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
" There's always something to tell." I said as I motioned for her to sit on the bed with me.
" How about this?, I'll ask you a question and if you answer it, you get to ask me anything."
" Anything?!" She asked perking up and I chuckled.
" Yes anything."
" Okay!"
" So how old are you?"
" 14. I'll be 15 by September. Okay my turn. Is it true you once gouged a guy's eyes out because he was staring at you?"
I gave her an horrified look and blinked rapidly.
" What no!, How do people even come up with of these rumours?!"
" I knew Christine was lying." Ara muttered under her breath.
I chuckled softly and smiled at her.
She really reminds me so much of Austin.
