“Alexander, I believed I gave you an order” Asher growled at his Beta using his Alpha voice as they both jumped apart before looking back to face him.

“I’m sorry Alpha but I was just making sure the girl is okay and wasn’t harm in any way” He said firmly not breaking a sweat under his Alpha’s scrutiny.

Asher’s made a noise under his breath before his eyes darted away from his Beta’s face for a moment and settled back at Beth’s stiff posture on the sofa whose cheek was still red from all the tears, forcing his rigid stance to relax a little bit.

Looking away from her, he turned to his Beta and spoke once again”Go and make sure everywhere is locked down. No one leaves the camp without my permission. I have a feeling we still have more of Luca left in my pack and I need to make an example of them just in case they have forgotten who they are dealing with. Now go”

Alex bow slightly then stole a little glanced back at Beth over his shoulder before slipping out the door and leaving her with Asher once again.

“Are you hurt?” He questioned after a while and she shook her head slightly before grasping a handful of her dress in one hand, silently shivering as she recalled the look in that boy’s eyes when he came after her, as more shutter ran down her spine all over again.

Even though Asher had hurt her more than anyone else in her entire years of existence, Beth was still grateful for his protection over her that night as she couldn’t help but look up at the man who unfortunately was her hero tonight.

“Thank you for saving me Asher, I know you did it for your pack and all but still, I didn’t want to die tonight and certainly not in that manner so thank you”

Beth word seem to have caught him off guards as he obviously wasn’t expecting a thank you and especially not from her causing him to shift uncomfortably under her glistening eyes before mumbling out a reply.

“Your room has been ruined and aside from that, you can’t stay there for now until I’m certain no more attack will come to you and the_” He paused abruptly as his eyes moved to settled at her still flat stomach and Beth immediately caught up on what he wanted to say but couldn’t say out loud.

“I know what you mean, you don’t have to say anything” She told him with a shrug and Asher gave a nod before his eyes began to dart around Alex’s room for a moment.

Letting out a sigh, he leaned over and grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her back on her feet. “Come with me”

“Where are you taking me?” Beth questioned as he began to head out into the hallway with his hand still holding on to her.

“Just shut up and come along” He growled back and Beth knew better than to argue as she allowed herself be pulled along without further protest. Asher came to a stop before the same door she found herself lingering about earlier that night before he pushed it open and walked in with her still grasp between his hand.
