The Alpha King Stubborn Mate -
Keepers Of The Lake
'We are often let down by the most trusted people and loved by the most unexpected ones. Some make us cry for things that we haven't done, while others ignore our faults and just see our smile. Some leave us when we need them the most, while some stay with us even when ask them to leave. The world is a mixture of people. We just need to know which hand to shake and which hand to hold! After all that's life, learning to hold on and learning to let go.' Keepers Of The Lake 000
Jason fell down the huge deep dark cliff with his already tearful eyes staring at his Rae. His right hand going straight to his heart which was already pouring out blood from where Rae had thrust her sword in. He closes his eyes with the memory of his beloved Rae face forever stuck in his memory.
Back in the cave, Avonmora eyes flew wide open for the first time in a thousand years. As she opened her eyes, Jason breaths his last.
Lucifer walked and stood beside Rae smirking as he saw Jason's eyes closed, his pale body going paler.
Jorkallun managed to crawl and jumped after his friend before they would stop him. He tried to change into his dragon form, but he couldn't. He was still weak just like Jason from the poison drink they both drank from. He hoped King Roen, Rosa and Lillian will be okay since the poison is slowly eating them up.
What Queen Jasmine told him suddenly came to him.
"Jorkallun, I see you as someone who takes the advice of a seer seriously. What is about to come can't be changed. A day is fast approaching when darkness shall be used against light to achieve its aim. A day is coming when you will need help, when that day comes replace the Lake Of Little, the lake which is hard to replace, when you see it, whisper my name. There help will come to you. Remember my words always for I see doom fast approaching."
Did she really know what will happen and came to warn Jason and him but they didn't take her words seriously?
Why didn't she tell them who exactly Lucifer would use against them?
He should have been vigilant like his Sarah. And Sarah, wherever she is, he hopes she is safe. She has a strong fighting spirit and won't back down easily, but she is weak.
Jorkallun thought as he saw Jason immovable body. He stretched out his hands to grab Jason but he couldn't.
He tried moving faster than the winds trying to control the winds by slowly it down and tried to reach his friend once again but the winds kept going stronger, he tried once more succeeded this time as he held Jason's cold left hand tightly and use his other free hand to hold Jason other lifeless hand.
He didn't see the heavy rock above them that Lucifer had thrown after him to make sure it hit them there by crashing him and Jason for once since they are weak.
Saving his friend was the last thing on his mind before he was engulfed by darkness.
"Let's go back to the palace." Lucifer said placing his hands around Rae's waist.
"Why did you killed Jason?" Lolly voice sounded behind them.
Turning slowly to look at Lolly, Lucifer smiled. "Because I want Rae and to have her, Jason has to be put out of the way." He answered.
"Not at the expense of my happiness. There would have been another way out instead of asking this fool here to kill the man I love." Lolly huff out in annoyance. "My father will never forgive you for what you did to me Lucas."
"Is that it?" Lucifer asked with a raised brow. "Let's see what your father will say then." He added and made the three of them disappeared immediately.

Sarah was manhandled roughly by the Amazon Warriors who were taking her to behead her as instructed by Lolly.
Her hands were securely tied behind her, they had tied her hands when they left the banquet room. One of the Amazon Warrior place her head on the wood they would use to behead her.
Two more Amazon Warriors came to hold her body as Sarah tries to fight the Amazon Warrior who place her head on the wood. Though she was weak, she was able to dispatch the Amazon Warrior sword before she was overpowered by the other two joining them.
One brought out his long sharp sword and aim it on Sarah's head.
Sarah couldn't stop the tears from coming out of her eyes as she saw her end.
She could have investigated Rae's behaviour when she started suspecting her.
She closes her eyes in final death. Oh the things she could give to see Jorkallun again if he is still alive.
Where was Tharollin when he is needed the most!?
She thought.
The Amazon Warrior raised the sword up and brought it down quickly.
I will always love you Jorkallun.
Sarah thought as she awaits the sword strike but it wasn't forthcoming. She only heard the man holding the sword fighting for his life as he struggles to breathe. The clanging of the sword on the ground told her all was not well. She slowly opened her eyes to see what was happening.
Her eyes widened in surprise when she saw Selena.
Her right hand was up which magically freeze the Amazon Warriors around them. They were all clutching their throats and within two minutes they fall to the ground, dead.
She quickly faces Sarah and release the ropes that bind her.
It was at that moment Sarah noticed her human feet.
Selena has legs?
"We have to go now." Selena said holding Sarah shoulders as the girl stood up to her feet.
"Not without the others who have been held captive by Lucifer and Rae." Sarah said bravely.
Now that her hands are free, she needs to save the others from the dungeon they were kept. She coughed out more blood.
"Not yet Sarah, we will come back for them, when you are strong and healed from the poison wine that flows in your vien." Selena told her. "You have to save yourself first Sarah, you have to come with me because this isn't over. You have to believe me, nothing will happen to them." Selena said with assurance.
Sarah believed her. "I trust you auntie and thank you for saving my life, how I wish same was rendered to jorkallun and Jason." Sarah said.
"Don't worry, everything happens for a reason, but we need to get out of here before Lucifer or anyone comes for us. You can't take all of them because you are still weak. Remember I am not a warrior like you." Selena told Sarah. "Alright then, let's go." Sarah said with defeated shoulders. "But where are we going to go? If they discovered I am not dead they will turn everything upside down to fish me out of my hiding place." Sarah added in a worried tone. "Don't worry about that Sarah, I know just where to take you for safety." Selena said smoothly caressing her niece hair gently. "Don't worry my dear, it will all be fine in the end." She added and disappeared together with Sarah.

Opening his eyes Jorkallun blinked his eyes to clear the midst in it. He slowly lift up his legs and gave a silent thanks to the Creator that he could feel his legs.

Though still weak, he tried to stand to his feet which he did very slowly. Glancing around him, he saw that where he has fallen was near a little lake.
Images flashed through his eyes as he remembered what brought him here.
Jason!!!! Where is Jason!??
He looked frantically around him and caught sight of a dirty white hair. He walked slowly but painfully towards his dead friend. Whoever that throw the stone at them really wants them dead.
He wouldn't blame Rae, she was being controlled.
Jason's body was nearly buried in the ground as the sand around him were wet by his blood which was still pouring out from his heart.
He gently but roughly pulled Jason pale body out of the ground which was half buried beside the bank of the Lake. How he managed to get the strength in pulling Jason out of the sand, remains a mystery to Jorkallun. Jorkallun stood beside Jason's dead body and looked out across the little Lake which colour was oddly different though it appears green but when you look at the lake carefully you'd see it's white, strange, but he removed that thought from his mind as tears blurred his vision. He couldn't bear the thought of not knowing the condition of Roen, Lillian, Rosa and his beloved mate is right now. He hopes Sarah isn't dead. How would he ever face Roen and Rosa again after everything if they eventually survive the poison? Jason's death would break their hearts. He dropped to his knees, the tears falling down his cheeks as grief took him. He curled up on the bank and cried and coughs out more blood. No this is not the way it was supposed to end.
He cleaned out his eyes with a new look of determination as the words of Queen Jasmine came pouring in his head.
He has to replace a certain lake before the poison kills him finally.
Getting up to his feet, he managed to carry Jason on his shoulder and started walking away. Where he was going, he has no idea but one thing was on his mind.
Find the Lake of little and seek for help.
Somehow Queen Jasmine would have known Jason would die and have told him to replace the Lake which is impossible to replace.
How can he replace the Lake of Little?
"Jasmine." He whispered. "Why do I even have to call out your name if I eventually replace the Lake of Little?" Jorkallun asked himself as he began to walk away from the little Lake.
He had barely walk ten steps away when he heard something or rather someone who had called out his name.
He stopped and turned to look around him in caution. He looked around the clearing for whoever called him but couldn't see anyone in the grey light.
Probably it was his imagination which made him thinks someone had called his name.
He thought and was ready to continue his walk when he heard his name, again.
He looked around him carefully and finally he looked up at what he thinks was the sky, it was completely grey matching his mood. Rain, so light it was almost mist strangely began to fall and gently washed away the tears drying on his cheeks. He and Jason's were soaked to the skin but he didn't care, he closed his eyes again hoping to block out the pain he felt deep inside and more gain strength to continue.
Where will he take cover since the rain decided to fall right this minute at the wrong time?
He heard someone calling his name again; the voices were closer now coming from the direction of the lake. Opening his eyes he looked out across the lake but he could see very little in the dim light. His clothes were drenched and stuck to his body, he shivered. The heat had gone from the day and he felt cold, chilled to the bone.
He knew within him they were far away, so far away from home.

Two tall ladies appeared suddenly at the bank of the Lake scary the dragon boy a little, he nearly fell down. They were wearing purple robes and their faces were hidden by the purple hoods.
Jorkallun walked towards them without thinking until he stood at the edge of the lake. They lowered their hood and their purple hair fell in soft curls down their back, they tucked loose strands behind their ears which were large and pointed, everything they did, they did it at the same time. The two beautiful ladies in front of him were identical, perhaps twins. Their skin was light purple and as smooth as the water beneath their feet. Their face was unlined but their large eyes were deep purple, faceted like crystals and jorkallun just knew within him they are ancient. Their gaze was piercing but they looked at him with pity.
"You called on us Jorkallun." They said together, their voice was deep and were the same tone and although they spoke out loud he also heard the words echo within his mind.
Balancing his friend body well on his other shoulder which didn't escape their piercing purple eyes.
In a twinkle of an eye, Jason wasn't on his shoulder anymore, he was floating in the air as the winds moved his dead body forward to the Lake.
"Who are you...? And where are you taking Jason?" he asked, looking behind them. For a second he thought he couldn't see Jason's body again, he closed his eyes and open them again he saw Jason's body still floating in the air. He saw a glimpse of another world and for a moment he felt disoriented like he was looking down from a great height. The feeling passed and once again he saw the lake, the rain making ripples and tiny waves on the surface. No rain fell on the women who stood before him, their robes remained dry and they were bathed in a soft light, like that of a summer sun.
"We are called the Shi, we are the keepers of the Lake and where you are is called the Lake of Little. You called the name of our seer sister and whosoever that calls her name seek for help. And for the other dead one, we are taking him to the Kingdom Of Elilannon. There we will try to heal his body and give his spirit a place to rest," They replied together turning to look at Jason's body now moving slowly towards the centre of the lake. The Shi?
Was it fate who had brought them here without the stress of replaceing the Lake?
He knew very little about them from the stories he heard as a child. The Lake of Little was a myth that Fairies and Elves replace it hard to believe it's existence. But here he is, in front of the myth itself talking to the keepers of the Lake, Jasmine sisters.
"He's dead? I failed my friend. I couldn't protect my good friend." Jorkallun said looking up at them. Although they looked strange he felt no fear, he knew he could trust them.
"His destiny has been written since the dawn of time. It has been written a long time ago before he was born. You are both destined to fight this together." They said, their voice was strange almost as though they were singing to him. He wondered once more if he was still dreaming or perhaps he had also died and would now be returned to those he had lost. Would he see Sarah?
"I don't know what to do, can you help him, please?" he asked, turning to see if his own body was lying on the bank still thinking he was dreaming. The sense that none of this was really happening was very strong. All he could see was the flattened ground where he had been sitting and crying but it was faint, the area was no longer dry, although light, the steady rain quickly soaked the ground. Could these Shi help save Jason? "Come, you are weary and full of grief, in Elilannon you too may rest a while and the poison in you will be removed. Our names are Jess and Joan and we will do all in our powers to help you." They beckoned him to come with them. Jorkallun hesitated for a moment then walked towards them, he had nothing to lose and he has to follow Jason wherever he may go, he knows Jason would have done the same if the case was reversed. They turned and moved towards the centre of the lake, they seemed to fly but he could see no wings on their backs. He looked down wondering why he wasn't wading through the lake and saw that he was walking on the water The lake was dark and smooth like glass. As he continued walking he realised it was no longer raining. He wasn't feeling that weak again and he looked up at the sky and saw it was now blue without a cloud in sight, the sun was shining and his clothes were dry. Looking back he could just make out the far bank through a grey veil. He had left his world behind and entered the immortal world of Elilannon.
Jorkallun followed the women to the gate of Elilannon. He couldn't see Jason's body anywhere in the air again and voice out his worry.
"Where's Jason?" Jorkallun asked looking around him. They were standing in a small inlet with steep embankments on two sides. A white chalk path wound its way through the grass between them to the crest of a hill and disappeared out of sight. Although nothing seemed odd or out of place, nothing felt real. Jorkallun wondered once again if he was still dreaming.
"His spirit is with our kin, I will take you to him but first I want to show you what exactly happened in your world," They said together turning to face him once more.
Do they do this thing together? Saying things together?
Jorkallun thought to himself as he stared at them.
"She killed Jason." Jorkallun said then he sighed and sat on the ground. Wrapping his arms around his knees he looked back and couldn't see his world again. He spits out blood.
"You are wrong Jorkallun, your friend has to die for a reason." They said together looking at the young man before them and feeling his grief as though it were their own.
"He's dead even if his spirit may live on in the Kingdom Of Elilannon. I was supposed to save him, to be there for him and to know when evil wants to come and I was too late, I have failed as a dragon who is supposed to be the wisest creatures." He felt so tired and alone, he rested his head on his knees.
"Far from it Jorkallun, your journey with Jason is just beginning and soon you will understand that things are not always as they seem." They said together.
Jorkallun looked down at the ground struggling with his tears. "I cannot do this, not alone. Jason is dead, he was my friend." Jorkallun looked up at the two women before him, they were strange and beautiful but he just wished they would leave him alone with his grief. He looked away from them and closed his eyes.
"No one can escape their destiny Jorkallun. Not all is as it seems, Jason had to die so you would bring him here to save him," They said sitting down next to him, one at each side.
