The Alpha Mafia King -
Chapter 62
The dull-looking weather slowly gave way to a bright and sunny-looking day. Birds began chirping happily from on high, and Alonzo’s lips curled beautifully as he listened to their peaceful sound.
He watched as Piccolo encircled his arms around his stepdad in an embrace. The image of the two men hugging themselves almost bore a striking similarity to two sumo fighters locked in each other’s arms.
Piccolo and his stepdad said goodbye, urging one another to be strong. Piccolo swore to check in on his stepdad continually.
Just because his mother was no more did not mean he would forget the man who had helped raise him as a boy. He joined Alonzo in the back seat of the black Sport Utility Vehicle, which in the next few minutes would land itself in an airport in Greece.
Alonzo had not seen his grandfather eye to eye since he received the news of all the horrific things Alyona had done. He still could not believe that she had plotted to kill him. Anyways, he knew he would eventually have to speak with his grandfather.
As for Bianco, the grim reaper had gone back to Italy a day earlier in search of the man named Draper Cooper to collect his soul. However, he had not gone as a lone wolf. Leonardo, the newest inducted member of their family, had gone with him.
One thing about being in a gang was that your location was never too hard to replace. There would always be somebody who knew somebody that knew you, and with the proper amount of convincing, that person would snitch your a*s out.
The silencer on Bianco and Leonardo’s firearms had muffled the sounds of the gunshots, and the loud music blaring from Draper’s VIP section of the club he had been chilling in had made him not notice Bianco’s grand entry.
Some of his bodyguards, the few who had been alert, had tried to shoot Bianco, but Bianco had used the doorman as a human shield to defend himself while taking them out. He had let go of the dead man, and his body had fallen to the ground with a suffocated thud.
There had been two ladies sitting on Draper’s lap, and they had looked petrified when Bianco pointed his gun at them. Bianco had signaled to them by working his head sideways that they could leave, and they had fled.
“How’s this possible?” Draper had said, looking at Bianco like he had just seen a ghost. Well, of course, he had shot the motherfucker, so he had been right to look at him the way he had done.
“Hahaha, do you believe in ghosts?” Bianco had asked, smiling crookedly. “Well, I have come to haunt you,” he had added sinisterly.
Draper had grabbed a gun, and Bianco had spread his arms in a wide arc, allowing himself to be vulnerable. Draper had pressed the trigger, yelling profanity, and he had watched with amazement as Bianco bled and recovered from taking several rounds of bullets. If he had not believed in the supernatural all his life, he had done so at the hour of his death.
“Impossible!” he thought, and his eyes widened.
“My turn,” Bianco had whispered coolly.
He had then proceeded to shoot Draper eight times which had been the exact number of bullets Draper had fired at him. He had added three extra shots once he remembered the ones Draper delivered on him during the day of their deal.
“Kid, congratulations, you made your bones,” Bianco had said to Leonardo, who had looked horror-stricken after watching Bianco take several rounds of bullets and survive.
“What are you?” Leonardo had said.
“I’m a werewolf,” Bianco had revealed.
Bianco had explained that the boss had instructed him to reveal their secrets to him because he wanted to adopt him as his godson. Leonardo’s heart had leaped in joy, but he had been afraid too.
Bianco had assured him that Leonardo had nothing to worry about so long as Leonardo never broke his oath of omerta. Bianco had, at the last minute, considered it wise to let Alonzo reveal to Leonardo that he had plans to turn the boy into one of their kind.

Alonzo was back in Italy, but rather than head straight home, he had gone to Dorado’s chemical. After the death of Lucian and Eureka, he had contacted the right people and had acquired for himself the company.
The property deed of Dorado chemicals was one of the documents Alonzo had rescued that day from the fire. The place was not as massive as La Corporation De Sina, but right now, that was where he was going to move his staff temporarily to work until he could rebuild La Corporation De Sina.
Rebuild ugh! He wondered how long that would take. Not all of La Corporation De Sina was razed to the ground that night, and although a lot of his goods were damaged, mainly clothes, they were still able to salvage some goods after the fire service had intervened.
The amount of money the fire had already siphoned from him was outrageous. Thinking about how much more it would cost him was a pain. The news had spoken about the fire the morning after it had happened. Alonzo was surprised to hear it still trended today.
Alonzo had refused to appear in an interview. The local authorities, however, in an interview, remarked that they were investigating who or what started the fire.
Alonzo sat in what would be his new office. The office which had once belonged to his mistress’s father. Eureka, he had pushed her away on many occasions. He had never measured up to the amount of love she had bestowed upon him.
How many times did Eureka take his side against her father? He asked himself. The answer returned to him in a still voice, “Lots of times! She picked you over her father so much that she had to leave him, yet you rejected her! You didn’t allow her into your home.”
Alonzo rocked himself in the chair gently. His mind flashed back to when Eureka had jumped in front of the bullet intended for him. She had died for him on the spot.
There was a knock on the door, jarring his thoughts. From their scents, he could already tell those behind the door.
“Enter,” he said.
Bianco pushed the door aside, revealing his broad self and the lean body of Leonardo behind him. Alonzo smiled. Leonardo instinctively gave him this sense of fatherliness.
Alonzo looked at Leonardo thoughtfully. He did not know why his wolf since that night made him want to transform the boy. And that was the reason Alonzo had asked Bianco to make a show of his werewolf ability when they had gone to make the kill of Draper Cooper.
Now he was not going to force Leonardo to become a werewolf. He was going to allow him to decide if he wanted the bite or not after he explained the danger involved.
“Have your seats, both of you,” Alonzo said politely. “Leo, well done; I heard you made your bones.”
Leo answered, smiling, “Thank you, Don Alonzo. Can you transform me into a werewolf?”
The question had startled both Alonzo and Bianco.
“I was about to make the suggestion myself,” Alonzo said. “But kiddo, listen up, the chances of survival are fifty-fifty should I give you the bite.”
“Then where are we still debating this, please? Where am I going to receive the bite? My neck or my wrist?” Leonardo pointed to the body parts he had mentioned, and Bianco chuckled.
Alonzo could not believe he was about to transform his first human. His gut was telling Leonardo would survive, and without further ado, he rose and went towards where the boy was seated. He bestowed upon his delicate neck the bite that would forever transform Leonardo’s life.
They watched Leonardo struggle on the floor like he was having spasms. The pain of being reborn from the natural world into the supernatural. After a while, Leonardo’s movement ceased, and likewise did his heartbeat.
“Wake up, kiddo, come on!” Alonzo said, trying not to assume the worst. “Wake up!” he added, yelling.
Like Jesus commanded Lazarus to rise from the dead, Leonardo exhaled a long breath through his mouth and nostrils and awoke. He sat up. His eyes had been yellow for some time before reverting to their original color. Alonzo and Bianco were smiling at him.
“Is that it?” Leonardo asked, surprised that he didn’t feel any difference. “Did it work? Am I now a werewolf?”
Alonzo nodded and said, “Yeah, you are.”
Alonzo’s head was swirling from his success. Now he could fully call Leonardo his godson.

Alyona was about to make the most shocking discovery of her life. One that would inevitably make her regret the actions she had taken against Alonzo, the father of her unborn child. She was snooping around Mariyanna’s bedroom and inside a drawer was an envelope.
