The continuous beeping sound coming from the alarm clock of his cell phone made Alonso want to smash it and replace it later. However, lucky for the device, his fingers were able to locate the swiping icon, and gently he slid to the left to end the hellish ringing. He got out of the bed reluctantly, changed into his exercise wear, and went to the gym, which was still located in his mansion.

He had missed exercising during the last weekend but today was a new day, Monday, and he had a fresh start to begin his commitment to his streak again. As he entered, an automated voice greeted him.

“Good Morning Don Alonso,” said the male voice, sounding eerily accurate to him.

“Good morning,” Alonso greeted the invincible speaker.

“Your streak freeze saved the days you missed,” the voice informed. “You have twenty-eight more left. I specially curated a new playlist to keep you motivated for today’s workout.”

All around the gym, the sound of music bounced back and forth. The music was reduced whenever the AI gym instructor had a new instruction to pass. Alonso started with the push-ups and pull-ups routine, according to his instructor. After that, he went into his weight lifting proper. He did bench press, pull-down, and finally powerlifting.

“Congratulations, Don Alonso, you’ve completed today’s training, and as usual, your performance ranked a hundred percent,” the voice boomed over the speakers.

Alonso wiped the sweat dripping from his face with a towel and breathed calmly and controllably. He admired himself in the mirror, posing and checking at how fit he looked. He was pleased with the image that appeared before him. It was the image of a strong, powerful, and handsome-looking Alpha male.

It was time to go to work. LA CORPORATION DE SINA needed his presence. His secretary, Lalia, had called him relentlessly until he answered, promising her he would come today.

In less than thirty minutes, Alonso had shaved, freshened up, and dressed. He was cladded in black. His suit and sleeve clung in a perfect fit to his body. His company customized everything he wore except his watch. He looked impeccable and sweet.

“Don Alonso, your breakfast is ready, Signore,” announced the maid as he stepped into the living room.

“No, no, no, I can’t have breakfast now. I’m in a rush,” said Alonso. “However, I wouldn’t mind my cup of cappuccino before I leave.”

Tanya nods and heads into the kitchen to get him his regular cappuccino.

A few hours later, He entered his office, followed by his secretary, holding a mountain pile of office files. She dropped them on his desk even before he had the chance to sit down. He scoffed disgustingly at work.

Meanwhile, back in Moscow, Bianco stayed with his quarries, artfully spying on them. He waited patiently for the duos to separate themselves. Divide and be conquered. They were at home watching a movie. Finally, one of them got up and said that he would pee. Bianco eyed the tiny needle in his hand. He stood silently beside the refrigerator, located in a dimly lit area in the living room. The man would have passed without seeing him, but he stopped by the fridge.

He opened the fridge, bending down to look for something, and it was then he caught sight of Bianco’s feet. Bianco quickly injected him and clamped his hand over his mouth to muffle his scream.

He eyed the other man who was so engrossed in watching the movie. He moved silently with the precision of a stealth killer. He injected the man with what he had injected his friend with, and he became unconscious within a matter of seconds.

He bounded the men with tapes and laid them side by side. He inserted a tiny pipe connected to each victim’s mouths held with video to ensure they could not force the tube out. He waited for them to wake up.

“Welcome to the land of the living,” Bianco said with a devilish grin. “Unfortunately, you’re not welcomed here for long.”

The man’s eyes widened in horror, and they shook violently, trying to break free. With such hate, Bianco thought.

“Gleb sends his regards from the land of the dead,” Bianco said.

He could not think of anything more bitter than the chemical he was holding, not that he had tasted it himself, but it was rumored to be one of the most bitter substances on earth made by Dorado chemicals.

“Drink slow, my friend, savor the bitterness of Gleb’s vengeance, and die helplessly,” he said to the first man.

“And you,” he said to the second man. “What a great privilege to behold how you will die helplessly from watching your friend’s experience.”

Alonso’s phone rang as he was about to sign the first file he had opened up to go through.

“Speak,” he said calmly.

“The job is done,” Bianco said. “I’m taking a flight back to Italy.”

“Outstanding, Bianco!”

He ended the call and continued to peruse through different files, scribing his signature on all of them until he stopped at one. Dorado Chemicals. He heaved a heavy sigh. Alonso had wanted to sign a contract with them but then changed his mind due to how greedy Lucian Oriano was with his shares.

The man was as cunning as a fox, and Alonso detested his ineffectiveness towards his company. He had already made his rejection clear, but the man kept sending in a new contract for his approval week after week.

He shoved the document aside. His mind drifted momentarily to Eureka, Lucian’s daughter, and his mistress. His ties with her only ran as deep as his s****l affairs were concerned. Mazza thinks he hasn’t been quenching his heated desire, but then again, Eureka is it, but just for pleasures.

Some minutes later, Alonso finished signing half of the documents on his desk. He tried calling his grandfather, but he rang out. He was becoming a bit worried. He heard a knock on the door, and he perceived Eureka’s scent. He straightened up and sat in a very composed manner.

“Yes, come in,” he said. Eureka, a very full-figured woman, entered. Her blue print dressing was very provocative as usual. Her breasts were half exposed, threatening to spill out from her dress as she leaned in front of Alonso.

“Where have you been all weekend?” she nagged.

“I was in Moscow for the most part,” Alonso replied.

“You could have taken me along, you know,” Eureka said instantly. She sat and laced her fingers on top of the desk studying Alonso’s handsome features.

“Yeah, but it was not a lady’s thing.”

“Did you get the contract I sent through your secretary?”

“I’ve already told your father that I’m no longer interested in entering into any deal with him,” Alonso reminded her.

“This is a new deal, and it’s going to be very lucrative,” Eureka pressurized him. “You know your company is reputable for its excellent chemicals production. Your trademark is all that’s needed to boost the sales of this new chemical once it’s released to the public.”

“Fine, I will look into it!”

She smiled. Her full lips looked tempting as she did. “That’s what I wanted to hear you say.”

“Okay.”

“Baby, I’ve missed you,” she said, getting up and walking over to him at his end of the table.

“Eureka,” he called to her in a disapproving voice. “Don’t touch me. We are in a public setting, and you know I don’t like it when women touch me publicly.”

“Let’s have lunch together,” Eureka suggested.

“No, I’ll be busy by then.”

“Fine, I’ll come over to your place tonight, and I’ll spend the night.”

Alonso wanted to disapprove of this, but he welcomed the idea to frustrate Taleela. Perhaps, she would get angry and leave him once she sees Eureka.

“Okay,” Alonso agreed.

Eureka felt so much love for Alonso. She wished he could open up his heart for her and not just his underwear. Even though she loved the s*x they both occasionally had, she longed for something more, something more profound.

She had not felt for any man what she was feeling for Alonso. Although she had always been the slutty type, Alonso made her want to stick to one man. She craved to give birth to his children, nurture him till he was old, and have wrinkled lines all over his angelic face. She left the office feeling excited for the night.

Mazza had taken Taleela to Rome, and they were coming out of the Capuchin Crypt, where Taleela had just witnessed the most dreadful thing she had ever seen in her life. There were six total rooms in the crypt; five featured a unique display of human bones believed to have been taken from the bodies of friars. She saw the crypt of resurrection, the mass chapel; crypt of skulls; crypt of pelvises; crypt of the leg bones and thigh bones; and lastly, the crypt of the three skeletons.

“I never knew Italy has so many things to show,”

Taleela remarked as they boarded their car.

“There are more, but we need to head back home,” Mazza said, and Taleela nodded in understanding.

“Why are you not answering your grandson’s call?” Taleela asked.

“Sometimes I just like to keep people in suspense, nothing more,” Mazza explained.

They boarded a flight back to their home, and Tanya, the maid, informed Don palumbo that his grandson had been worried about him. He smiled and assured her he was notable. He handed Tanya a gift she had gotten for her immediately, entering the gigantic De Sina mansion.

“So how did you replace our city, Taleela? Was it beyond what you expected or beneath it?” Tanya said with a knowing smile.

“Honestly, it superseded whatever expectations I had,” Taleela responded.

“And where did you visit?” Tanya asked as they left Mazza standing alone in the living room. Tanya was doing a great job making Taleela feel at home.

Alonso came home earlier than usual. He was relieved to see his grandfather by the poolside. He secretly scanned for Taleela, but she was not here at least. He angrily marched to his grandfather.

“Granddad, why weren’t you answering your phone?” Alonso demanded.

“What are you talking about? I didn’t see your calls,” Mazza chided.

“Stop lying and be serious for once.”

“I was having fun with Taleela,” he admitted. “Can you believe we went to see the Capuchin Crypt?”

“I don’t give a damn!” Alonso said, seething.

“Granddad, why are you even treating her with so much care?”

“Because she’s your mate,” Mazza insisted.

“But I’ve rejected her!”

“Really? For who?” Mazza smiled. “Exactly, you got nobody you deeply care for.”

“Why are you doing this to me? Stop forcing me to want things I don’t want.”

“I’m not doing anything,” Mazza said defensively. “I only said I should accommodate your mate for the time being. If after a month you still feel the same way, then I’ll send her away.”

“Whatever, granddad! She’ll not be able to tolerate me for that long,” Alonso boasted.

“You think? She seems so highly spirited to me.”

Alonso was already walking away from his grandfather. Eureka would be here anytime soon, and he laughed ingeniously at his plan to drive Taleela nuts. She would regret ever stepping foot on De Sina’s mansion. He barged into the living room.

“Welcome home, Mr. Alonso!” Taleela sang.

“Don Alonso!” he spat, marching away. He did not even glance at her.

Eureka arrived just in time for dinner. She and Alonso were sitting in the dining. Taleela entered and saw them. She felt her b***d boil ten times over.

“Taleela, come here!” Alonso barked. “Fetch us a bottle of red wine.”

Eureka paused to watch Taleela.

“Uh, she’s so sluggish; who’s she?”

“The new maid,” Alonso said sharply.

Taleela brought the wine to them after a couple of minutes. She dropped it with two wine glasses, and Alonso let her walk a few distances.

“Taleela,” he called out. “Is the wine supposed to pour itself?”

She bit her lips, turned, and walked down to them. She opened the wine and poured it for them. Alonso gave her a wicked grin, and she smiled back politely before turning to leave.

She had somehow summoned up every self-control tactic known in the world not to topple the wine glasses over and have its content spill on Alonso’s guest.
