I can’t help but stare at Brooke, she won’t even acknowledge me.

“You need to give her space,” says a voice by the side of me. I look down to see Amy looking at Brooke “She just got back and probably going through the emotions especially replaceing out her mother is still alive.”

She looks at me “Both Shane and I will stay here but I think it is best if we stay out of Brooke’s way for now” she says but before I can say anything “I agree with my mate” says Shane who walks up behind her and wraps his arms around her “Brooke and you need to be alone when this is done but also you need to talk to her alone after this.”

I look back at them both and smile but I don’t say anything but I can feel eyes looking over here, I look back to see Brooke and Daisy staring at us with a blank expressions on their faces..

I look at Danica who is talking with my father “Mind link Jackson and Alanna to come to the office, I will stay behind Joe and Adonis till they are here but I do suggest that you get some guards here for when they arrive as she might try to contact them through mind link or something.”

My father nods and starts to mind linking people.

She looks at me and smiles “Hudson can I speak to you after this?” She says and I nod.

Great now I have to talk to Danica about Brooke, this is not going to end well.

There are a few people talking around the room but the knock on the door makes everyone stop, staring at it as Jackson walks in with Alanna. I can see Danica looking over Adonis’s shoulder at the man who’s her mate but it is the glare in her eyes of the woman who took her mate away from her.

“Alpha you summoned…….” said Jackson as his eyes land on his daughter whose face has changed from blank to anger as she stares back at him.

“Brooke,” he says in a whisper, he moves closer but Brooke stands up and moves away, she gets up and walks to behind Daisy who has now stood up and growls at Jackson “I won’t go near her, you will have to go through me first,” Daisy says with a growl.

Jackson looks taken back, Alanna hasn’t moved from her spot. She looks at Brooke, she looks like……….crap, she looks like she’s mind linking someone.

I walk over to her and grab her arm “I think you better stop doing what you are doing or you might not live to see another day” I say with a hiss in her ear which makes Jackson turn around but he is confronted by a very pissed off Danica who has now stepped from around Adonis “Surprise mate, miss me” she says “I’m so happy to see that a friend of mine has kept you company all this time, it’s a shame that she was never your second chance mate as my kind only as one mate.”

Alanna tries to flee but struggles but the grip I got on her tightens as she turns straight in my arms “I don’t think so, GUARDS” I shout and two guards walk in, they take Alanna in each arm but the third who just walked in has brought chains with him.

I smirk “Put the chains on her, we will talk to her in a little while and also make sure she is heavily guarded,” I say to them and all three nod.

One guard puts the chains on but Alanna starts to laugh and looks at Danica “I loved every minute of him, I wish it was true but you have a war that is coming and trust me hunny, he will be soon mine again when you and that brat are dead” she shouts.

I growl and step closer to her; she looks at me and smirks “You think because you are her mate that you can growl at me. We all know that you fell in love with a different human and my memory serves correctly, you also had Madison too. I can’t see the appeal to be honest, how are you going to talk…….” she says but she is cut off by the sudden appearance of brown hair that stands just near my shoulders.

Brooke is in front of me “I WOULD SHUT UP IF I WERE YOU” she says, Willow is out and ready to kill, judging by the way Alanna is looking, Willow has just scared her half to death “HOW THE…….” she starts to say but Willow grabs Alanna by the throat with one hand “I TOLD YOU TO SHUT IT” she says, she squeezes her throat tighter making Alanna splutter. The guards are still holding her but no one is doing anything as we are all stunned that Willow could do such a thing but after a few seconds, her hand removes and Alanna tries to breathe.

Brooke turns around and faces me, Willows black orbs are through “Mate, please have this peace of crap removed, her voice is getting on my nerves” she says, I can’t help but smirk. I look towards the guards but mind link Beta Logan “Can you take Alanna to the cells and watch over her, Rex will tell you everything that is happening here” I said to him.

Within seconds Beta Logan comes and escorts Alanna with the three guards out.

I turn around to replace Danica glaring at Jackson who by now has sat down and is looking up at her “How?” He says that’s all he can say “What are you?” He says again.

Danica doesn’t say anything.

But Willow is still through and looks at him, “You have no clue to what we are” she says to him which takes him by surprise, he goes to open his mouth but she stops him “Don’t speak I have something I have to say which is off Brooke” she says and moves closer to him, she lifts up her sleeves revealing Brooke’s scars on her arms the one I saw at the hospital when we saved her.

“Look at your handy work,” she says but Jackson turns away and looks at the floor which makes Willow more pissed off “LOOK AT THEM” she shouts.

Jackson doesn’t look at her. Everyone In the room is too scared to move.

“You hurt our baby girl,” says Danica “WHY?” She shouts.

Jackson looks at her with tears in his eyes “I didn’t know…….I was a mess because you were dead” he says.

Danica looks at him “THAT STILL DOESN’T GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO HURT HER” she screams at him.

Willow hasn’t moved but it’s not Willow anymore, it’s Brooke. She looks at her father.

Suddenly Brooke closes her eyes and starts to clench her hand into a moving it slowly, light comes through as she lifts her hand up to reveal a floating ball.

The ball is full of the memories, the memory she is showing us is Jackson being really drunk and staggering towards her, he was shouting at her telling her that she should have died not her mother, he wanted his mate. He was smoking, the only thing we pack members remember was Jackson only smoked was when he had a few drinks. But the memory continues and he sticks each cigarette out on Brooke’s arms.

You can see the pain through the ball. Also, Austin ran down to stop him grabbing him and slinging him off her and Austin yelled at him to get away from her.

I can’t help the look at the person on the top stairs, staring back smiling at the whole situation unfolding.

It can’t be.

He was banished.

He was supposed to have moved away as agreement with my father.

Why would he be still here?

After the memory goes, there are loads of growls erupting through the room once everyone realizes what Jackson did.

I glare back at Jackson, I mind linked two guards to come to the office and when they turned up they took Jackson to the cells away from Alanna and one on his own, we can let Danica and Brooke decide what they want to do.

Everyone was riled up.

“I think we all need to rest and calm down,” says my mother and looks at Danica “Dan, why don’t we get you a room, Adonis and Joe you both know where you are staying it’s the same one as last time you came to stay,” she says and they both nod. Joe looks at Brooke who has now stood in front of the window, staring out.

Joe looks at me and comes closer “I think you should talk, just the two of you” he says in a whisper.

I nod.

Everyone leaves, one by one. Daisy hugging Brooke but she looks at me, she doesn’t say a word to me and Rex follows right behind her with Shane and Amy leaving close behind.

My father grabs my arm and looks at me “You saw what I saw?” He says in a whisper “They are working with him? So is Alanna.”

He turns to look at Brooke who is still looking out the window “Son explain in great detail what happened back then, she needs to learn the truth, we might not know much but at least let her understand why you were a jerk back then” he says as he stares back at me and smiles slightly, “we will discuss or figure out what to do next in the morning” he says as he taps my shoulder as he turns to walk away from me to go replace my mother.

There is no one left in the room now, only Brooke and me.
