Episode 61

BROOKE

I was walking with Hudson towards the office but I couldn’t help but feel slightly nervous. Everyone’s scared and afraid of me. I didn’t know how to react to everything.

Hudson places his hand in mine which makes me look up at him but when I do, he smiles “it’s okay Brooke no one’s going to hurt you, I’m by your side” he says.

I smile back but my thoughts wander to what happened earlier in my bed and the shower with him. I can’t believe that I did that but the most shocking was I couldn’t believe how Hudson made me feel. Everything felt amazing, his touch on my skin even when he placed k****s along my scar on my side I was in heaven. He showed me what he felt towards me, there was something in his eyes but I didn’t know what.

“He wants us,” says Willow in my head as she comes closer “He wants to be with us.”

I know he does. But my anxiety was kicking in and I know Willow could feel it.

“What’s wrong?” She asks me looking at me with concern in her eyes.

“Nothing, I am happy about Hudson and me but I am worried about this meeting in the office,” I say back to her.

There was no doubt I was worried about it, we were closer to the office and I could see my mother hoovering outside the doorway, probably wondering whether to go in or not. She looks over at me and smiles but she looks at Hudson’s hand in mine which makes her smirk.

“I’m going to be close by and trust me I will make them now what we are capable of,” says Willow in a hiss “I will be your voice when you need me to be.”

I can’t help but smile back at her. I know we are shifters but Willow has been the only one that has protected me in my whole life even when I never knew she was there.

As I stand in front of my mother, she looks between Hudson and me “Is there something you want to tell me” she says with a smile.

I shake my head “Not yet” I mouth.

Hudson squeezes my hand and I look up at him “Let’s go in, I know everyone is waiting for us” he says.

My mother looks at the door then back at him “I’m not happy with how they handle this” she says with a hiss “How they made my…….” but I stop her by placing my hand on her arm “We will deal with it” I mouth at her.

She closes her mouth and smiles.

Hudson opens the door and walks in with both my mother and I walking in behind him.

Hudson was right; everyone was there except for Shane and Amy.

They all looked at us; they all had guilt written all over their faces.

Willow was close and could feel the atmosphere in the room; she hisses but doesn’t say anything.

Hudson moves closer to me and places his hand on my lower back, he clears his throat “Well who would like to start first” he says.

Luna Sophia looks at us and smiles but when she looks at my mother her face drops. I couldn’t help but look over at my mother who was glaring back at everyone.

“You have some nerve,” says my mother before anyone could say anything “You all do. You broke my daughter; you treated her like a villain in all this even though you all knew about the people that were after her.”

“We didn’t see the others, we just saw…..” says the alpha but my mother hisses “What you saw was the end of something was clearly not my daughter’s doing.”

“You should have told us what you are, we would have…..” he says through gritted teeth but my mother glares back.

Willow has had enough of this even though we have only been in here for a few moments. Willow steps closer which makes me close my eyes but I open them to reveal both of us as one which startles most of everyone in the room except Joe, Adonis, my mother and Hudson but even Daisy doesn’t look surprised to see Willow.

“I think that’s enough,” says Willow “You all messed up, there’s a reason why we didn’t tell you what we are,” she says in a hiss.

We step forward but Hudson stays close. I can feel his warmth.

“We didn’t tell anyone because of what people may know. Our kind are sacred creatures for a reason, we are not from this realm” she says and she looks at my mother who is smiling back but she turns back “We don’t tell people because of the reaction that Brooke got, you only caught the end part but if you must know we are slowly getting into our power and they are coming fast. I guess you all know what we are” she says.

Every faces in the room nods but no one says anything and Willow sighs “We would like to keep it between the people only in this room due to the threat that is on our lives” she says.

Hudson growls “I still don’t hear any…..” he says but Willow turns to him, we place our hand on his chest. He looks down at us and stops.

We look back to some stunning faces.

Willow says “A phoenix has healing gifts and we are immortal, we can die but we can self-resurrect but it does take time to come back,” she says “But we do have one flow, our tears can not only help someone to heal but it could also help someone to become more powerful when we die.”

There are some confused faces looking back at us “What do you mean?” asks Luna Sophia.

“It means that we sometimes don’t know when our actual time is up but if we cry before we die, someone can take the tear and make it into a potion to make them more powerful than the highest person in witches history, they could be deadly and there would be no way in stopping them,” my mother says and sighs “That’s why I never told any of you what I was. I was planning to the night of the attack but obviously that didn’t go to plan.”

“How does Damien know about Brooke though?” asks Daisy as she looks at me.

“I think Alfred is helping them” says Hudson suddenly a few growls erupt through the office.

“What do you mean Alfred?” asks the alpha with anger spreading across his face.

I can’t help but stare at him, I think everything that happened with Hudson’s behaviour of not liking humans had more than the effect on him than I realized.

“Alfred tried everything to replace out about what I was,” says my mother from the side as she walks around the room and stops beside Joe who has had a frown on his face since we came in here.

“He kept asking me random questions and even wanted to take me on a date,” she says with a shudder.

“He was here that night in the pack” she says “Before the attack.”

The alpha growls “He was banished, how the hell has he been getting onto the pack grounds.”

“I think I know,” says Luna Sophia suddenly, she has a blank expression on her face but she looks at all of us “There are tunnels leading into here, they were part of the old land back in the day before our kind came here” she says “I was at the library of history when I was a child, my mother would always take me there to learn about the history of our kind and there is a book about what the pack grounds used to look years ago, they showed the tunnels leading in and out of here,” she says.

“That makes sense” says Daisy “Alfred would have known about them because he was into that type of thing as he was a history teacher to us.”

Hudson growls “We need to protect Brooke and Danica,” he says.

“We will son” says the Alpha and he turns to my mother, Willow and I “Please Willow and Brooke please accept this old alpha’s apology for the way I acted towards you, I was afraid for my son safety and I was also scared at what I saw. I think I speak for everyone when I say this but it is a complete honor to have you both here with us, well three of you” he says and turns to my mother “Danica, I am so sorry” he says. His guilt was sweeping in. Both my mother and I could feel it.

Willow slowly goes back slightly letting me take control and I look towards Joe as I start to sign “We accept your apology and we want to make this pack safe for not just us but everyone.”

Once Joe tells them what I said, Joe looks back at me and smiles.

“I think we should……” says Luna Sophia but my mother cuts her off “We need to decide what to do with Jackson” she says suddenly.

I look back at her with wide eyes, I forgot all about my father. I tense but Hudson comes closer and starts to rub circles on my lower back.

I don’t know why but I feel slightly calm by his touch.

I turn to see the alpha and Luna staring back at my mother but before they could say anything I turn to Joe and start sighing.

Once I sighed, Joe’s eyes look back at me with mixed feelings but he looks at everyone.

“What did she say?” asks Hudson from behind me.

“Brooke just said,” he says as he stares back at me, not looking at anyone else “She wants to talk not only talk to Jackson but she wants to replace out what Alanna knows, she was the mole within the pack that we should at least replace out what she knows.”

“Is that……” Rex says but Joe glares at him “I wasn’t finished young wolf, Brooke also said she wants to talk to Alanna on her own as she might open up to her but she wants most of us to stand near ready to hear everything” he says.

Joe looks at me and walks up to me till he is in front of me, he stares down at me “You are one brave girl you know that but I think you should at least have someone in there with you.”

I look back at him “I will think about it” I sign to him.

He nods and smiles but turns to Adonis “I think we should go to our room” he says and looks towards the alpha and Luna “You have guests coming, you might want to inform them about what is happening” he says.

Adonis and Joe leave, but before they do. They both give my mother and me a hug.

Once they both left, I look up to meet Hudson’s gaze. His eyes are saying so much but his face is blank “whose coming?” I ask him.

Hudson looks at me then to his father but back to me “Alpha Josh and his brother Todd” he says and places his hand in mine “They wanted to help and they are bringing some help with them.”

I nod “When are they coming?” I mouth.

Hudson smirks “They just arrived” he says but he turns to everyone “No one mention to them what Brooke and Danica are, we need to know if we can trust them first.”

Everyone nods but there was a knock at the door.

“Come in” shouts the alpha.

The door opens and in walks Alpha Josh with his brother Todd.
