Chapter 454

When Isaac rushed to the hospital, Jole had been transferred to the VIP ward.

The wound on the back of her head was pretty ghastly. To treat it, part of her hair had been shaved off. Right now, she looked like she'd been through the wringer. Grace was sick with worry.

"Joie, your head wound has been treated. Does it still hurt?"

Joie shook her head, "I'm alright. Don't blame Brittany. It was my fault."

Like hell, Grace was not gonna blame Brittany!

Brittany wasn't the type to hold grudges, so why couldn't she get along with Joie?

Last time, Brittany accidentally burned Joie's hand, and this time she pushed her.. and she didn't even bother to say sorry!

Isaac walked to the door of the ward and caught wind of this, causing his eyes to narrow.

The next second, he pushed open the door, "Granny, since she said it wasn't Bri's fault, let's just drop it, okay?"

Grace couldn't believe her ears, "Zac, what the hell are you saying? Are you covering for Bri?"

Isaac didn't even glance at Joie, 'Bri is pregnant now. It's Joie who's been stirring up trouble. You know Bri isn't the type to cause drama; you know this better than anyone." Grace was speechless.

"Let's put an end to this."

Isaac glanced at Joie, "Once you're better, leave Radiant Residences. I've bought a villa for you. There will be people to take care of you."

Joie bit her lip. Was Isaac trying to get rid of her with money?

"Isaac, I'm not blaming Bri..."

'Good' Isaac cut her off. He raised his hand, and Nathan handed him a document. It was the property certificate.

Try to keep out of her sight."

Every time Joie and Brittany were together, something would go wrong. He didn't want to blame Brittany, so he had to keep Joie away from her.

Jole's eyes reddened instantly Grace tried to say something, but Isaac had already left.

As they walked out of the ward, Isaac turned to Nathan, "Have you finished checking the surveillance?"

The surveillance only covers the corridor. Mrs Salter did push Jole"

"Destroy the footage. Get someone at the hospital to keep an eye on her. Don't let her approach Bri again."

When Isaac returned to Radiant Residences, it was already 3 am.

He pushed open the master bedroom door and saw that Brittany was already asleep.

She was now in the late stages of her pregnancy, so her sleeping position had changed. She was lying on her side now, still looking slender despite carrying a child. He went over, got into the bed, and pulled her into his arms, feeling her breath. Brittany never mentioned Joie's injury again.

Grace was out early and came back late, reducing their interaction. Emily, however, would occasionally chat privately with Brittany.

'Mrs. Salter, don't blame her. She truly sees Joie as her own granddaughter."

Brittany knew Emily was Grace's person. She didn't expect her to comfort her.

Brittany pondered for a moment before saying, "Emily, I got it"

Emily wanted to say something else, but she ended up saying nothing

H

The night was hazy

In a luxurious bar in a spacious private room, people were chatting casually in small groups.

William Dillion sat in his wheelchair. His demeanor was as gentle as ever. Even after losing his legs, he was still the most eye-catching presence.

A friend leaned over and asked with a meaningful smile, "William, where's your little girl?"
