The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart (Brittany and Isaac) -
Chapter 458
Chapter 458
Brittany Dustin lifted her hand, covered her face, and muttered, "Can't you give me a break?"
She was really tired.
Brittany's mind was a complete mess.
Isaac Salter stared at her, his fists clenched, kept quiet for a while, and then left the master bedroom.
Brittany didn't sleep all night.
Ever since the news of Brittany's secret rendezvous with William Dillion got out, she was once again the center of public attention.
William was pretty big in the circle-the hot bachelor everyone was chasing. Now that his scandal with Brittany was out, it stirred up a splash like a stone dropped in water, instantly drawing the attention of the whole city. Two single people were sharing the same room
When William was caught, he wasn't even fully dressed!
The first rays of morning light poured in Brittany got up from the couch, tolerating the pain in her body, and walked into the bathroom. The warm water showered over her, but it didn't wash away the fatigue in her heart When Brittany came out of the bathroom, Isaac was in the room.
He was still wearing yesterday's black shirt. His figure was tall and slender, but it gave off a cold vibe.
Hearing footsteps, he turned his head.
He stared at her straight on, full of curiosity.
Brittany dried her hair, walked to the bed, lifted the covers, lay down, and said, "What happened last night was a misunderstanding."
Isaac's fists were clenched. He waited all night just to hear this nonchalant sentence?
Seeing his face turn ashen, Brittany added, "William was soaked in alcohol, so I helped him change his clothes. I didn't expect to be caught by the paparazzi"
She was completely drained. "If you don't believe me, you can check the surveillance."
Isaac looked at her pale face and wanted to get closer.
But Brittany closed her eyes as if he didn't exist. Her breathing was steady and deep.
Isaac felt like a ball of fury was building up in his heart. After a while, he turned and left.
-Brittany heard the door slam shut. It hurt her heart.
Brittany had a hard time sleeping. All the things that happened were magnified hundreds of times in her dream and invaded her mind. She wanted to break free, but she couldn't replace the way
After the scandal broke, Grandeur Capital's stock price plummeted.
In just one morning, their market value evaporated by billions.
Manuel Salter wouldn't let this go, demanding an explanation from Isaac. Isaac and Manuel had a long talk.
Before leaving, Manuel said meaningfully, "Zac, you turned down Shona Bennett that I arranged for you and insisted on marrying a woman who doesn't match your status. Is such a woman worth you standing against me?" Manuel picked up a vase and smashed it to the ground, scaring the secretary outside into retreating.
Mr. Salter was really angry.
Even Nathan Jarvis didn't dare to approach.
The spacious office was filled with a cold atmosphere. Nathan gathered his courage, opened the door, and asked, "Mr. Salter, are you okay?"
Isaac, with his hands propped on the table, looked serious and gave off a chilling vibe. He asked, "Has the surveillance been checked?" Nathan replied, "It has. The situation at that time was exactly as Mrs. Salter described."
Nathan continued, "Those waiters received a call saying there were important guests on the second floor, so they bumped into Mr. Dillion." Nathan had reviewed the surveillance video multiple times. Brittany was pregnant and was pushing William's wheelchair, making it virtually impossible for her to avoid the group of waiters.
"What about the paparazzi?"
"They said they received an anonymous tip-off. Nathan had investigated that so-called anonymous tip-off but found no clues.
Isaac slammed his hand on the table. His eyes were filled with indifference.
"Keep investigating" he ordered.
This scandal was a big deal, obviously, someone had prepared for it in advance, Nathan nodded, then cautiously asked, "Mr. Salter, how are you and Mrs. Salter doing?"
