The Billionaire’s Regret
Chapter 219 –

WYATT'S POV

THREE years before, I never thought I would be this happy, to be contented with the woman in my life. I never thought I would be the luckiest man alive when she said yes to my proposal, giving me a chance and trusting me again. I mean, look at us- happy as fuck. Today is our wedding, and planning this for almost two months is complete preparation.

I smiled at that. Yes. I don't want to get married before. And who would have thought I would get crazy with the woman I am going to marry right now?

The world of marriage is really a messed up place, but hell yeah, I'm contented with her. With our baby.

I was now waiting for her to walk down the aisle. Her baby bump is showing, but then I made her the wedding dress she dreamed for.

Our first wedding was not that extravagant; it wasn't even good. I didn't want to marry her, but then I tried. I was challenged by her. She's innocent and beautiful.

After years of marriage, I maltreated her. But all she has was drown to me. She gave everything to me, loved me, but I ignored it.

I don't want her. I don't want to be with her. Before. But now, now that I have completely chased her, I want her for all myself. I want them just for me. To keep and to hold.

I'll shower them with love and care. I'll give everything they deserve in this world. Our precious little one will be the center of our marriage, and of course, I won't forget the Almighty God from above for giving me the best woman in the world. Chasing her is not easy. It has a lot of conditions. If it wasn't for Jimmy, who helped me, I wouldn't have had this wonderful marriage right before the altar. With her. In the beachfront of my chains of hotels.

She was beautiful and gorgeous as ever in that white wedding dress. I was so amazed at her. I could feel my heart beating stopped when I saw her walk down the aisle with a bouquet of red roses in her hands.

She was as beautiful and dazzling as ever. This is the happiest day of my life that I couldn't ever forget. I want this memory to stay in my mind and my heart.

And I know, for sure, it will be the most memory of her that she could remember even though we were old together. This wedding marked as our memorable date as ever.

To get her, to love her, I should be a perfect man for her. I should be a perfect husband for her. I should be the right person for her.

From this day forward, I will marry the woman who filed a divorce again. And today, I will be her husband... forever.

We invited everyone... in the company and even her relatives. I always think of myself that I couldn't marry a woman. A beauty and an innocent woman.

She's coming to me now. Beside her was her father, who was smiling all throughout the entrance.

I was so lucky. I was patiently waiting for my bride, and I wanted to hug her now. I badly wanted to run to her and grab her so I could face the altar now.

His brother-Cooper, Ryan, and Sebastian, were seated in front near the altar. They were teary eyes, and then I realized she was so lucky to have them as her backup.

I know she's the only Princess of the Morgan, and I promised them I would treat her as Queen.

At first, when I went to their mansion just to make it up with them, I deserve their punches. They punched me and scolded me for treating her like nothing. For maltreating her as a wife.

I regret every part of it. The words I said to her. That words made her let go and divorce me. I was a jerk, I admit. But now, I'm being a man with balls to have and to hold her for the rest of my life. When they finally reached the last step, his father- Leo Morgan, handed her hand to me, and I gladly accepted it.

I shake hands with him and even wave to him with respect as my father-in-law.

My grandfather attended my wedding. He was smiling, although he scolded me at first when I got back from London to New York.

And that my inheritance to him will be given to my future children, and that's what it is. I'm glad about that. I gladly accept that because it will benefit my children.

"Promise me to take care of her, Wyatt," Mr. Leo said with a firm voice.

"Yes, Sir. I promise I won't hurt her. I will never lay a hands on my wife..." I promised.

"Dad... Call me, Dad. From now on."

I nodded my head. "Thanks, Dad. I promise I will cherish her as you treat her like a princess. I will make her my queen. In our home."

Ivy hugged her father, and after that, I will have her now. I will hold her hands, facing the altar. Promising each other to love and to hold.

"You're so dazzling today, my soon-to-be-wife..." I whispered to her.

She smiled at me. "And you're still handsome as ever, baby..." she whispered back.

The ceremony started.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are here today to witness the union and holy matrimony between Wyatt and Ivy." The priest started. "Romans 12:10 says, Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves." We are both facing each other. We think that we are the only ones who are there in the middle of the altar.

"Marriage is both a threshold and a continuing process in that experience. Mutual love is one of our richest experiences and most precious gifts."

Now, the time we have waiting for is the exchange of vows. I wanted to hear her vows for me, and I will gladly tell her my vows for her, and I hope everyone can hear them.

"Now, you can exchange your vows," the priest told us.

I will be the first one who will say my vow, and I am so excited. I wasn't yet saying, but she's crying now.

I wiped her tears away. I cleared my throat so I could speak.

"I, Wyatt Reed, take you as my lawful wife to cherish and to hold for the rest of my life. I promise to cherish every moment with you, honor and sustain you in sickness and health, and be true to you in all things until death do us part." I told her, and she's crying now. I couldn't stop myself from crying, too. This vow I made to her, I will cherish it, and I will give her the world she deserves.

And when it was her turn to say her vows, I smiled at her and wiped her tears away because that was all I could do. Since she's pregnant, I don't want her to be stressed or pressured.

"I, Ivy Morgan, take you as my lawful husband, to have and hold, honor and sustain you. I promise to be with you, in sickness and health, for richer and poorer, and be true to you in all things until death do us part." She said, smiling and happily. The crowd cheered for us, and now, the priest speaks again.

"Now that you are ready to have each other, take the rings, exchange, and declare of intent."

We both held hands. We are facing each other. The ring bearer handed me the ring. I pulled it out and sighed heavily because I was so nervous. I swallowed a lump in my throat. I looked into her eyes with love and sincerity.

I can feel that me and her is the only person inside the church, in front of the altar, but we don't care. And finally, with me nervous, I already speak up.

"With this ring, I dreamed of you to be with me every day..." I started.

I heard my Butler's laugh, but I didn't give a damn since it was my wedding day.

"Just like what happened to a fairy tale, you are the woman who could fix me. You are the only woman who could make me fall on my knees to praise you... to adore you. I promise that marrying you will be the happiest days of your life until we are old and has gray hair. I promise to trust, hold, and be a perfect husband and father. I will always love you, Ivy. I will always have you both in my arms. That I will give you the world you both deserve. Now that you are mine to keep, my Ivy Morgan-Reed, I promise to be your Wyatt Reed, your own husband, and no one else can take me away from you. I love you with all my heart, baby... I promise not to break your trust and the chance you'd given me. That as long as you have my surname, you will always be my one and only wife." She was crying right in front of me. The woman I love is crying because of my words.

"I'll make you happy, and I can't promise that you will not cry for the love you deserve from me. I pledge all of my love, respect, trust, and faithfulness to you. You are my home; I vow to love you and show my unconditional interest in you. Today and forever, I will take you my Mrs. Reed. I love you so much..."

As I ended my speech, the crowd cheered for us. My tears streamed down my face because, for now, I will be able to have my own family that I will cherish for the rest of my life. When it was her turn to speak, she heaved a deep sigh and smiled at me. I can see in her eyes how happy she is. How happy she was to be introduced to the whole world. She got the ring and slid it on my finger like I did earlier.

"With this ring, I slid on your finger... this symbolizes that I will love you..." she trailed off, heaved a sigh again. Her breathing was rugged, too, since she was crying all the time. "I've fallen for you, my husband," she expressed her will. "Now that I have you in my arms, from this day forward, Wyatt Reed, I promise I will be yours forever. I promise that despite my imperfections, I will do my best to be your material wife, and filled you with respect, love, and happiness. I'll stand by your side regarding calamity, problems, and struggles. I will surrender to you and be your greatest love until eternity and beyond. With this ring that symbolizes our marriage, I vow to love you each and every day. I will always put your surname in my name as your lawful wife. I promise to build a bond with you and our future kids. I love you so much... I love you so much, my Wyatt..." she ended her speech.

As we exchanged rings, I couldn't hide my smile. I couldn't hide my happiness.

"By the power vested in me by the state of New York, I now pronounce you husband and wife! Congratulations to your matrimonial, Mr. and Mrs. Reed. You may now kiss your bride."

Once the priest ended up saying those words, the crowd cheered again for our kiss. I smiled at her, and she smiled back at me. I removed her veil and stared at her for a moment. "I love you, my Mrs. Reed..." I whispered to her.

I moved my face to her. Leaning to kiss her forehead, her nose down to her lips.

We both shared a passionate kiss, and the crowd clapped their hands as support. And then, afterward, I kneeled down to kiss her baby bump.

"I'm home... you are both home in my arms, my little one..." I said, kissing her bump. "I love you, my precious little Ivy...

I stood up and planted a kiss on her forehead again.

"I love you so much, my wife..."

"And I love you too, my husband..."
