The Billionaire’s Regret
Chapter 220 –

Years passed...

SUNDAY MORNING, after mass, Wyatt, Ivy, and their two kids went to the mall. As usual, the bodyguards are still with them, but Ivy talked to Wyatt to at least let them stay a little bit far from them. "Daddy," Amethyst poked Wyatt's side while they were walking, "I want to rebuy some books. I've already read all my books at home. So, so I need a new set of books," she uttered.

Wyatt smiled as he glanced at his daughter, who was walking between them since he was carrying Phoenix.

"Alright, sweetheart. You can buy all the books you want," he replied, which made Ivy pinch him on the shoulder.

Wyatt looked at his wife. "What?"

Ivy arched her left brow while they continued walking. "Don't spoil them, please."

Wyatt flashed a smile. "Your husband is holding lots of zeros again. And your father asked me to help you with your company," he added.

"Really?" Ivy smiled and stopped for a while.

Wyatt smiled and nodded. "Now, we can give everything the kids' wants. My family is my priority."

Ivy couldn't express how happy she was. Now that they're inside the mall where many people can see them, she can't just kiss him. She pressed her lips together and nodded.

"Mommy, will you stop being so dramatic these days?" Amethyst words make their eyes grow bigger, and they both look at her.

"You never failed to shed tears-you're getting ugly when you-"

"Amethyst," there's a warning tone in Ivy's voice.

Amethyst crossed her arms in front of her small chest as she stared at her mom. "Mommy?"

Ivy massaged her temple, closing her eyes before she looked back at her daughter. "Why are you saying that to mommy? You knew that's not good."

Wyatt tapped Amethyst's shoulder. "Sweetie, mommy is happy that she's having difficulty getting over it. Let her be, okay?" He said while his eyes locked into hers. "Do you love mommy?" Wyatt asked, which made Amethyst bow her head as she unclasped her arms. She nodded. "Yes, daddy. I'm sorry," she asserted and hugged Ivy at her waist. "I'm sorry, mommy," she uttered.

Ivy smiled and cupped Amethyst's face. "Very good. Let's go buy you books," she said as she held Amethyst's left hand.

Ivy smiled while watching Wyatt tutor Amethyst with good manners. Who would've thought that Wyatt could be a good father?

They continued to walk until they were on the second floor.

"Daddy, put me down," Phoenix suddenly uttered, which made Wyatt nod as he put down his son. "Thank you, daddy," the little boy said.

Wyatt smiled and patted his son's head. Phoenix went to her sister, and they both ran toward the bookstore.

Ivy shook her head and glanced at Wyatt. "They're like that," she said as they followed.

They sat in the waiting area inside the bookstore while they watched for their kids to replace things that they wanted to buy. As expected, Amethyst chooses books that might hook her, while Phoenix chooses to buy coloring books.

When they were done at the bookstore, they went to a Japanese restaurant to have their lunch. "You should tell your bodyguards to take their lunches, too," Ivy started while waiting for their orders.

Wyatt arched his brow and sighed. "They will after we're done. They'll have lunch in our house," he replied.

When Ivy heard the word 'house,' she couldn't help but smile. They're back at their house again when they got married. And damn, the room is still there, like Wyatt's toys.

The moment they get inside that house, it's not the pain and suffering she felt that day; it's weird because she felt joy. Despite their past, at last, her sorrows in the past were worth enduring. Finally, the man he loves already loves her back.

Ivy's POV

It was eight in the evening when we finished eating our dinner. I let the kids go upstairs with their nannies. They have school tomorrow. So, they need to sleep early.

Wyatt was in the living room waiting for me as I helped Nana Doris wash and clean the dishes. We have the other two maids, but I don't want to put all the work on their shoulders. They need a proper rest too. Ever since I had kids, I'd instead choose to work alone- give my full attention in preparing things for them rather than seeking help from others.

A few years ago, when I divorced Wyatt, I learned how to be independent; though Windy and my brothers was still there for me, I still managed to make a living.

I want to be a full-time wife and a mother to Wyatt and the kids.

Speaking of Wyatt and our decision to live in our house, my father was very much willing for us to settle back again.

I am happy-despite the fact that I was hurt, I know life is not that easy. We always face struggles in our everyday life. I wanted to look and move forward for our new beginning.

Wyatt might be ignoring me in the past, however, nothing can beat how he treasures and value other people, especially his family. I was right all along. Wyatt is kind-hearted. Those who knew our past may or may not loathe him and curse him in hell, but we all know that everything happens for a reason.

"Leave it there, Ivy. Your husband is waiting for you," Nana Doris said as I wiped the wet dishes.

I smiled at her. "Let him, Nana. It's okay."

Nana Doris let laughed. "Come on, Ivy. Amethyst and Phoenix aren't getting younger-you're not getting younger. Don't you think it's time for another little Ivy or Wyatt?" Nana Doris uttered, which made me laugh, and I shook my head.

"We'll get there, Nana," I replied and continued what I was doing.

I saw how Nana shook her head and heaved a sigh in my peripheral vision. I gazed at her and flashed a smile. "Soon, Nana. You will see another Ivy and Wyatt," I replied to ease her mind.

And there, the old lady flashed a wide genuine smile. "I am excited for that day to come," she uttered.

After a few minutes, I put down the rug and washed my hand before walking to the living room. Seemingly alerted by my steps, Wyatt looked up and put down the newly issued bachelor's magazines. He flashed a smile at me, which made me rush toward him. I sat beside him and suddenly leaned my head into his chest while his other hand rested on my shoulder.

I closed my eyes when I felt his gentle kiss on the top of my head. The tingling romantic feeling rushed down to my system. It seems like we're teens dating on a bench under a willow tree while watching the stars from above-savoring a precious moment. "You're tired already?" he asked me.

I shook my head as I rested the back of my head on his lap. I met his gaze. "Nope. How about you? How's your company?"

"As usual, the schedule is still the same, but I tried to adjust it since I need to go home before the clock strikes six in the evening," he replied.

I squinted my eyes when I saw a tiny thread of cloth on his hair. I reached for it, which made him lean backward. I let out a soft chuckle. "Here," I uttered as I reached for it and showed him the white thread.

"How about the kids? Since you always sent them to their school, aren't they bothering your schedule? And eight is a little bit late for you-"

"Baby, I am the boss. I can work whenever I want, and the kids are more important than my duties at the company," he replied and smiled at me.

I nodded. "Hmm... okay, boss. I will not ask you about it again," I asserted and laughed softly.

But my smile faded away when I saw how Wyatt stared at me. "What?" I asked as I arched my brow.

Wyatt flashed a smile which made flaunted his handsome and perfect features. I bit my lower lip when my eyes landed on his lips.

I looked away and tried to get up when he didn't want me to let go.

"Wyatt..."

"Baby..." he whispered. And I dislike how he says the word: baby, and it seems like he's inviting me for something. And I, myself, knew what it was. "It's been a long time since-"

"I know, Wyatt. I know," I interrupted and never left his eyes.

Wyatt sighed, loosened his embrace, and pushed me upward from my back. I turned to him. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"Let's go and check the kids," he uttered as he offered his hand to me when he stood up. I smiled and reached for it.
