Emily and Abigail strutted out of Epicurean Delight, looking pretty pleased with themselves, and decided to hit the stores for a shopping spree.

Out of nowhere, Abigail asked, "Hey, Emily, have you ever used Mrs. Smith's privileges?"

Emily was confused for a sec, so Abigail clarified, "Are you serious? Michael's loaded. If you don't spend his money, Sophia will. Why let her have all the fun? Ask him for some money, and let's go shopping again on his dime." Abigail gave her a knowing look.

Emily thought it made sense but hesitated. "Abigail, we're about to get divorced. Isn't it kinda low to ask him for money now?"

Abigail shrugged, "You're not divorced yet, right? As long as you're still Mrs. Smith, even for a minute, you can use those privileges." Emily thought about how Michael had been driving her nuts lately, making her lose sleep and her appetite. She was seriously ticked off. After a moment, she pulled out her phone and texted Michael.

Emily: [Give me money, I want to go shopping with Abigail.]

When Michael got the text, Sophia was right there with him. She saw him open his phone and suddenly laugh, a laugh she hadn't seen before. Trying to hide her irritation, she asked, "Michael, who is it? What's so funny?" She knew it was probably Emily, but Michael just said, "No one." Emily got the transfer notification and was floored. The amount was huge. She thought, 'Is this really Michael? He actually sent me money?' The amount made her heart race. Abigail peeked and was just as shocked. She said, "What's Michael's deal? He's being super generous. If he likes you, why's he messing around with Sophia? If he doesn't like you, why send so much money? What's his game?"

Emily couldn't help but laugh. She put her phone away and said, "If I knew what he was thinking, do you think Sophia would still be with him?" But deep down, Emily knew she and Michael were never going to work out. She remembered Michael saying Sophia was his lifesaver. She couldn't wrap her head around that story.

Emily figured she should dig into it. From what she knew about Sophia, she didn't seem like the type to save anyone. More like the type to run away and leave you hanging. Emily sighed, pushing those thoughts aside, and got ready to go shopping with Abigail.

Spending Michael's money felt pretty awesome, no guilt at all.

Emily realized she hadn't visited Isabella in a while. She decided to ask Abigail to go with her to see Isabella the next day.

She told Abigail her plan, and Abigail was all in. The next day, they got to the hospital and found Daniel on duty.

Since their last road trip, they hadn't kept in touch. Emily had no idea Michael had reached out to Daniel, and Daniel hadn't mentioned it to her.

During this time, aside from talking about Isabella's condition, Emily and Daniel hadn't really kept in touch. Seeing Daniel now made Emily feel a bit guilty. Remembering Michael's attitude last time, she decided to apologize first. "Hey, Daniel, I'm really sorry about that road trip. I'm apologizing on Michael's behalf."

Daniel, ever the gentleman, smiled warmly. "It's all good. No need to apologize. Let me take you to see Isabella."

With that, Emily let it go, and the three of them headed to Isabella's ward.

Abigail and Daniel waited outside while Emily went in alone. Seeing Isabella lying there, looking like she was just asleep, made Emily's heart ache. She held Isabella's hand, her eyes welling up. "Mom, I told you last time, I'm pregnant. When you wake up, you'll see it, so you have to wake up soon, okay? I'm planning to divorce Michael. And I'll get back what the Brown Family owes us. Mom, you have to wake up to see their downfall."

Emily talked to Isabella for about 20 minutes. When she came out, her eyes were red. Daniel handed her a tissue and said, "Emily, I need to tell you something. I've asked my mentor abroad to replace a drug and a device that might wake up comatose patients. But it's really expensive. I haven't mentioned it because, besides the high cost, there's a 70% success rate but still a 30% chance of failure. I've been unsure whether to tell you."

Emily's face lit up with hope. "Really? Daniel, can it really help mom wake up? No matter the cost, I'm willing to try. Just tell me, how much is it? I'll pay anything to wake mom up." Seeing her excitement, Daniel told her the price.

It was indeed steep. Emily's face went pale for a moment but quickly recovered. "Daniel, I'll do it. As long as it can wake mom up, I'll replace a way." She looked at Daniel, her eyes full of gratitude. "Thank you, Daniel, really, thank you." She hugged him, overwhelmed with the hope he had given her.

They quickly pulled apart, not realizing that Sophia had snapped a photo and sent it to Michael.

Sophia had come to the hospital for a check-up and had spotted Emily and Abigail. She followed them and witnessed the hug. Pleased with herself, she immediately sent the photo to Michael.

When Daniel escorted Emily and Abigail downstairs, they took the escalator and ran into Sophia. Emily wanted to turn around and leave, feeling unlucky. 'Why do I always run into Sophia?'

Sophia suddenly stepped forward and sneered, "The person in the ward is your mom, right? So you hid her here. My parents have been looking for Isabella for so long, and you just put her right under their noses. Who do you think is more magnanimous, you or me?" Her malicious tone was clear to everyone.

Emily felt a chill run down her spine. "Sophia, what do you want? What does my mom have to do with you? I'm warning you, Sophia, if you dare to touch my mom, you'll regret it."
