The CEO's Empathy Pregnancy Pains
Chapter 71 Recording

Sophia smirked and said, "Wow, you actually showed up. Is this your idea of flirting? Emily, looks like you haven't had much experience with men, huh?"

Emily could feel the eyes of everyone in the room on her, filled with disdain and mockery, like they were watching some kind of show. But she acted like she didn't notice and replied coolly, "I'm not here to argue. You called me, and I came. Now, where's my 'Lucky'?"

Sophia laughed, crossing her arms. "Your 'Lucky'? Are you sure it's still yours? But honestly, it's useless to me. Seems pretty important to you, though. You really want it, right? Fine."

Sophia pointed to a bottle of red wine on the table, her tone dripping with arrogance. "Drink this whole bottle, and I'll give you 'Lucky' right now."

Emily had expected Sophia to pull something like this, but she couldn't drink right now. She looked at Sophia with disdain. "You want me to drink? What gives you the right to make me drink?"

Sophia just snorted, not even getting mad. "Emily, did you really think I called you here tonight just to hand over 'Lucky' easily? I'm in charge now. Do you want to play my game or not?"

"What game? How do I get 'Lucky' back?" Emily asked, gripping her phone tightly behind her back.

Sophia lifted her chin. "It's simple. There are 20 guys here. Kiss each one of them, and I'll give you 'Lucky' right away. Deal?"

Emily's expression changed. "Sophia, do you even hear yourself? I might be willing to kiss them, but do they dare to kiss me?"

Emily glanced around the room, then said confidently, "Do you know who I am? I'm the wife of the CEO of the Smith Group. Who dares to kiss me?"

The men in the room went pale. Everyone knew the Smith Group, and they were all smart enough not to mess with Michael's wife. Even if Sophia was Michael's mistress, they could only try to please her, let alone his wife. Emily saw the men who had been eyeing her lewdly all lower their heads. "Sophia, do you think they still want to kiss me now?"

Sophia clenched her fists, glaring at her. "Everyone knows you're divorcing Michael."

Emily shot back, "But we haven't divorced yet. As long as I don't sign the papers, Michael is still my husband. And you, you're still the mistress who can't show her face, just like your mother."

Sophia's face twisted with rage, looking downright scary.

Emily thought she looked utterly disgusting, just like she always had. Sophia could never hide her nasty nature.

Sophia took a deep breath. "Today, either you please them, or you drink this bottle of red wine. If you want your thing back, you have to pay a price. Besides, this was a gift from Michael to me. Whether I give it to you or not is up to me. If you replace the previous tasks too hard, you can kneel and beg me. How about that? Fair trade, right?"

Emily's face went pale. She couldn't drink the wine because of the baby she was carrying, and kissing those male models was out of the question. Kneeling before Sophia? Not a chance.

"I'm not picking any of your options," Emily said. "Aren't you worried I'll tell Michael about tonight? Don't forget, I'm still his wife. Aren't you afraid he'll replace out what you did to me?"

Mentioning Michael made Emily hesitate for a moment. Sophia glared at her. "Do you really think Michael will believe you?"

Emily took a step back, speaking slowly, "Sophia, what do you think Michael would think if he saw your true colors?"

Sophia snapped back, "That's none of your business. If you want 'Lucky' today, consider my proposals. If not, you can leave. I won't stop you."

Emily suddenly smirked. "I just realized playing fair isn't your style."

She pulled out her phone, showing the recording interface. She had been recording since she walked in, just in case.

Sophia's face froze, then she said, "Do you think Michael will believe you just because of this recording?"

Seeing the recording, Sophia instantly changed her face and lunged for Emily's phone, but Emily outpaced her as she stepped back and held her phone up and out of Sophia's reach. "Didn't you say Michael wouldn't believe me? Why are you so scared now?"

Emily continued, "Give me 'Lucky,' and I'll delete the recording right now."

Sophia's eyes were full of malice, like she wanted to kill her. "Don't you dare threaten me?"

Emily said, "Will you give it or not? If not, I'll send it to Michael right now."

Sophia sneered. "You wouldn't dare."

Emily laughed. "Why wouldn't I? I didn't say those words. You might fool Michael for a while, but do you think he'll stay fooled forever? Even if I don't send this recording today, he'll eventually see your true nature. So, give me 'Lucky,' and I'll let you keep a shred of dignity in front of Michael."

Sophia's nails dug into her palms, but she didn't feel the pain. "You want 'Lucky'? Fine. Delete the recording, and I'll give it to you."

They stared each other down, waiting for the other to blink. Finally, Emily lowered her phone, laughing, "Fine. I don't want 'Lucky' anymore. But I can send this recording to the media and Michael right now."

Emily opened Michael's Facebook, but Sophia wasn't about to let her. She grabbed Emily's phone and smashed it to the ground, shattering it. Emily watched her coldly.

Sophia smirked complacently, "Emily, do you really think you can threaten me with a recording? Do you still have it now?"

Emily smiled, looking at the shattered phone. "The recording? I already backed it up to the cloud. I can send it anytime. I just need a new phone to log in."

Sophia cursed herself for not thinking of that. She didn't expect Emily to have a backup plan. Sophia had completely lost her patience. She couldn't stand losing to Emily. It seemed she had to make Emily suffer today.
