The King's Omega -
The King’s Omega – Chapter 17
Dayana left the room with a beautiful smile adorning her lips, it was the day in which she could have a conversation with the omega and also because it was her birthday. She didn’t say anything to Thiago, because she didn’t think it was something important that she would tell everyone. Since she could remember, her birthday stopped making sense to her.
“Hello, I’m sorry to ask you to walk with me for a while,” she put her hands behind her back. I just have a lot of questions to ask you.
“It’s nothing,” she pointed to the door. Let’s go to the garden, please.
“Yes, of course,” she came out first. How did you come into the hands of the king?
“I was sold as a cheap commodity a few months ago,” the other revealed thoughtfully. It’s not the best feeling ever, but it’s what I have to live with my whole life — he snapped his fingers.
—What happened to your parents? Didn’t they love you? She—she was very curious.
—They loved me, they were killed by the peasants because they had been hiding an omega since her birth—the omega took off her veil—. Since her death, I swore to myself that I would never be with people who could hurt me, but I’m here and look,” she showed the beautiful ring. I am married and I am the queen.
“It’s a beautiful ring,” she took his hand. I have never had luxuries of my own merit, only those that my lord gives me and that is all I need.
— I know, your lord is someone that everyone loves — he put his hand on Dayana’s, stopping —. For that reason, many people come from the north and west to be with him. Even I would stay with this king.
—I’m getting jealous that you admire the king.
“Don’t worry, I already have mine,” he winked at her. Although, I would have really liked it if everything was different between the kingdoms, that way there would be no more wars and we could all be at peace.
— Yes, that won’t happen with my father being in charge of the north — he shook his head —. I am his only daughter and believe me when I tell you that there will never be good things from him.
“You’re his daughter and you’re saying that about him,” the other omega denied regretfully, removing her hand. The King of the North is known for how strong he is since his soulmate and only wife died.
—My mother was a beautiful woman—they continued walking. I would have liked to be with her when she lost all the light in her eyes, but I am the person who caused her death.
“Don’t go any further,” she caressed his arm. Fate plays a lot with less fortunate people.
“They say that she was a beautiful woman, that her beauty captivated more than one king and that my father won her heart.” She directed her gaze to where the flowers were. I wish I had the willpower she had to tame the beast.
“Don’t say those things,” he interrupted her. I repeat, not all of us are lucky. For my part, my father was a good man, as was my mother, except that she fell ill and could not defend herself enough from those people, but she fought until her last breath so that she could escape from her.
—How was everything when you met the king?
“He caught me stealing food one night,” she smiled, remembering. “One of the palace employees was my aunt, she died,” he clarified. She lent me her clothes and those of some of her servants, to pretend to be a man, it wasn’t difficult to adapt to the routine. It was worth it, because I ended up marrying a wonderful man.
“I’m very happy to hear that,” she said sincerely. Sometimes we must lose in order to win.
—I know, isn’t it something great?
—Was it difficult to get used to being with him?
—Just a little, I remember that once I was almost very scared —he laughed—. Although he was very patient with me, I assure you that he didn’t want to do it after we were intimate.
—Was he scared when he found out you were an omega?
“At first, yes,” she said thoughtfully. I remember that my mother always said that my beauty would be the downfall of the most powerful man in that kingdom. At first she didn’t believe it, but here I am.
—Your mother was very right when she said those wise words—he pointed to a tree—. My father said that because of me he lost the love of his life and that I was a monster for being born.
“You mention your father’s contempt for you a lot,” she mentioned thoughtfully. Did he never show love towards you?
— No, it was just a zero on the left in his life and that was always like that.
– I’m so sorry.
“It’s okay,” he smiled at her. One gets used to it after being locked up for many years.
—That wasn’t your fault and you know it.
—But, what can I do if that’s what I was born for? —he made a sound with his tongue—. Now I am happy, I am very happy to be with a person who wants me by his side and who protects me from bad vibes.
—Do you feel safe with the king? Aren’t you afraid that at some point he will decide to take matters into his own hands and end up with the only daughter of the king of the north?
“Sometimes I feel like that, but then we spend time together and I forget everything in the blink of an eye,” she shrugged. I trust the king with my life.
— Wow…
— But today she forgot something — her shoulders sank —. Today is my birthday.
– That?
“But it’s my fault for not telling him before,” she downplayed the matter.
— Let’s go see the king, so he knows about this important date.
“I don’t think it’s good, the king is working and I don’t like to bother him,” he said. Please, let’s wait a little longer.
—Why don’t you want to go see the king now?
— Because I’m afraid that at some point he’ll get angry with me when he replaces out what I really am…
— I don’t understand — he tilted his head —. Why do you tell me that?
— Every year… I have my heat…
— Why haven’t you told the king that you can have children?

Thiago indicated to Derek to take the documents that were on the table. Which he had to sign to end unnecessary ties with the king of the North. As long as he did not have to continue hearing from that guy, he would be at peace, calm and without any type of remorse in case he wanted to see Dayana again.
“He’s sick,” Derek revealed, drawing his attention. The king of the North is dying.
—What does that have to do with me? “She,” she asked, looking down at her pen. That guy should go directly to hell for being a sinner.
“He is the father of the imperial consort,” he frowned at him. He puts your pride aside and looks at everything around you.
— I can’t forget everything, it’s impossible to do so… every time I imagine the events that Dayana went through in that palace, I can only close my eyes for a moment to contain myself.
“The king never touched his daughter,” he stated. The rumors you hear are false, Dayana can tell you the truth about everything…
“I don’t think that’s right,” she sighed. I don’t want to open the wound and then end up hating myself.
“He’s not going to hate you, you’re the most beautiful thing he has,” he mocked. Dayana is very strong, lasting so many years with her father’s contempt is something that he is worthy of admiration.
“I know… I remember the time she was with me in the carriage, she looked like she was very scared, but she still had a lively look that was looking for comfort,” she explained, beginning to remember.
– What do you mean by that?
— Don’t go, don’t leave me alone. “Don’t go,” she murmured.
— I’m not leaving, I’m just going to say goodbye to a friend. —She kissed her forehead.
— I think we will go in different directions, no one can know about this for now, I will go tell Andrea about this. “She will be happy to come here again.” With that she turned to go to where her carriage was waiting for him.
When they reached the entrance to his castle the servants approached him immediately before he descended with his companion.
“Dayana, we’re here,” he moved her a little.
– Where we are? “She” she looked both ways.
“We’re at your new house, let’s go down,” he smiled at her, sideways in an affectionate and somewhat nervous way.
She—she She couldn’t even move on her own, she was scared… the people here weren’t the friendliest at first either, they were a bit reluctant to welcome her.
— It’s always like that, you just have to have a little patience.
“Which I don’t have at the moment,” she dropped into the chair. I don’t know why I feel like something is wrong…
– What could it be?
“I don’t know, I feel like I’m forgetting something important,” he answered thoughtfully. Do you have any idea what it could be?
“If you don’t know, much less do I,” he snorted, rolling his eyes. Did you talk to Dayana today?
—Yes, I did—he placed his hands behind his head—. It’s fine, more than fine. She has even gained weight since she arrived at the palace.
—It was to be expected that she would do it—she signed the papers that were on the table—. You spoil her a lot.
— I only do it because I like to have it full…
— What do you mean by that? —the door was knocked—. Forward.
—The Queen is here and she asked to speak with you, my lord.
– With me? —the servant nodded, lowering his gaze—. Did she say she wanted to?
— No, it’s just that it’s something urgent and she can’t wait.
“Tell him to come in,” he sat correctly in the chair. Do you know why your wife wants to talk to me?
—Even I want to know why.
“Good morning,” he bowed his head. May I have your time, my lord?
“Yes, and please leave the formalities aside.” He intertwined their fingers. What brings you here?
—Why did he forget his imperial consort’s birthday? “He,” he blurted out without hesitation.
– What are you saying? “She” almost chokes on her own saliva. Whose birthday?
— Dayana has her birthday today… she seemed sad even though she said nothing was happening.
—This must be a joke—he put a hand to his head—. She had no idea, did she tell you anything else?
“Nothing relevant other than it being her birthday,” she lied as if nothing had happened. She is a girl who all she wants is acceptance from you and…
—I feel like this got out of hand—he stood up—. Thank you very much for telling me what was happening, I… I really should go to her.
— Don’t worry, I know Dayana will understand if she gives her a good explanation — she showed him a smile. Thanks again for telling me.
“That’s what we’re here for,” she agreed, and waited for him to come out. Now are you going to pay attention to your wife? —He addressed the king of the East.
Thiago walked through the dark corridors of the palace in search of the perfect gift to give to his consort. That last word wasn’t so bad after all. Because it was her, her destined partner. He lit a torch and went directly to where the palace jewels were and looked for among the most beautiful ones that could be just like the person he would wear them.
He stopped dead when he saw the crown his mother wore. He rarely wore the crown that belonged to his father, because it was too heavy, but he saw how Julia had hers on her head and that gave him a small hint that he could be with Dayana forever. He took her mother’s crown, as well as her wedding ring, and left the room.
He left the unlit torch in the hands of one of the servants and then headed towards the chambers where the omega was supposed to be, but he couldn’t replace her anywhere. He chose to go to his, and it wasn’t there either, he went to where the secret door was, seeing it half open.
There was a very sweet aroma in the air, something that caught his attention and that was mixing with Dayana’s smell. Her eyes widened when she saw her naked and touching her private parts. That wasn’t something she got to see every day.
— My lord, I am hot.
