POV

I was stunned by his words and before I could fully comprehend anything, he had my hands in his.

"Well, we are mates so the emotions you feel are forced by the bond and the only way to not feel that way is if you rejected me," I explained patiently.

"It's not only the bond, but it's also me, Edward, and I don't want to reject you," His voice was calm and soft. I swallowed and heat spread to my body when he kissed my hands. He smiled gently at me and guided me back to the bedroom where we made love the whole night until I passed out.

The next few days were bliss and Edward and I were like a normal married couple. We entertained the guests in our home and went to events together like the Alpha's meeting and parties.

I was wearing a split-neck tank dress that lifted my breast into a sexy kind for the ball we were to attend at the Black Stone pack when Edward came to the vanity table," Hey," I put my makeup brushes away and stared up at him, he removed a beautiful necklace that had his family's emblem on it and put it around my neck. It meant so much to me that he gave me this. "Thank you so much for this," I told him, touching and admiring the diamond. He nodded his head, he was already dressed in a tux and was looking HOT as hell. I finished doing my makeup and I was shocked when he got down on one knee to help me into my high heels. I caressed his hair as he did with a gentle smile across my lips.

"You look beautiful," He whispered.

"And no one wears a tux better than you," I said, we linked our arms and went downstairs. Reaching the foyer, we said bye to Love, and the brothers and I went out to the limo, I was surprised to see that Jamal's date was Ansley, they looked pretty content at this moment, joking and laughing, and the way they gazed at each other made it seem like this is the last time they'll ever be together.

'I just hope she will be happy, and whoever she ends up marrying, treat her well,' I said. Ansley was a lovely soul.

'Um, Cali, isn't the man you kissed the Alpha of the Black Stone Pack,' Asked Liana and I sighed inwardly, I've been dreading this. I already knew the animosity between the packs and not to mention that I kissed Dean! I needed to talk to him before anything else or just avoid him the rest of the night and pretend it never happened!

'It will backfire,' Liana didn't care at all. She was too nonchalant.

'Why don't you care about this?' I questioned her suspiciously.

'Well, if you must know my dear, human, Ward and I have bonded over the few days and I told him what you did,'

I gasped, 'You little traitor!' I accused her. She huffed and ignored my rant for the rest of the ride.

'Liana, does Edward know too?' I asked at last. She chuckled.

'Oh honey, you'd be dead,'

She blocked me and I was left fuming at her.

"Why are you mad?" Marcos asked, I blinked and realized all eyes were on me.

"I probably did something again," Sighed Edward, touching his temple in distress.

"I know, I've been seeing this girl and she blocked me for no reason at all,"

"Women right, so petty," Added Garret and I narrowed my gaze on each one of them.

"We don't get angry for no reason at all," Chimed Ansley.

"Thank you," I concurred.

We soon arrived at the Black stone pack, it was neat and clean with tall skyscrapers just like my pack. We drove to the Alpha's mansion where the party was taking place. Alpha Edward helped me out of the limo and circled his hand around my waist. There were cars parked in the driveway already and I could tell that many people were inside.

"Are you alright?" Edward asked. I only nodded and looked in front when my eyes met Dean Henderson at the entrance with his entourage. He wore a nice fitted suit and was smiling at us gently. His eyes lingered on me and I felt Edward's grip tighten around my waist, my mate was exuding an unmatchable aura, subduing that of everyone around us.

"Good evening, everyone," Dean beamed, a little merrier than one would expect to welcome their nemesis in their home.

"Dean," Edward almost groaned and I jab him.

"We are in their home, their territory hence we shall be benevolent,' I said to every one of my people via mind link.

'Especially Edward and Marcus,' I added.

'Whatever,' They murmured.

"Welcome to my home," Dean said as he shook my mate's hand, then Jamal and the rest. He came back to me and kissed my cheek, the kiss was dawdling and Alpha Edward lowly growled at him. "Luna Caliana. It is a pleasure to see you again and especially in my home," He said and Edward's gaze glimpsed at me skeptically,

"Again?"
