Caliana's POV

Reaching my pack, I felt nostalgia wash over me and a smile spread on my lips. I went straight to my home, the house I grew up in. The servants rushed to welcome me and I noticed that Evelyn and Vince were eyeing me from the garden, scared to approach me. I didn't pay any mind to them and greeted the servants, they were respectful towards me as always. I entered the house and breathed in, it was just as I left it and with every step I took, a memory of me here flashed in my head.

I went to my old room and sat on the bed, I texted Alpha Edward to tell him that I'd arrived safely but he didn't respond immediately, I bet he was now in one of those long meetings.

My door flew open and Levy and Emilia came in, before I could get on my feet to hug them properly, they tackled me in a hug. I giggled and embraced them. They were asking questions and talking at once,

"Guys! Relax!" I shouted. They eyed me anxiously, wanting all the details about Edward and me.

I fell back on the bed and held the pillow.

"He's wonderful, sensual, and everything!" I purred, smiling to myself. I told them everything happening in my life and they were happy that I'm living my best life.

"By the way, we are having the marking ceremony next week and you are invited!" I squeal.

"Wow, congrats, girl!"

"Thank you!" I told them details about the marking ceremony we shall have. Edward had been wanting to mark me for a while now but as per tradition, the pack members have to be there to bear witness and it will be unfair if we took that from them. I can't wait to be one with him.

My heart was pounding against my chest at the thought of us marking each other. We shall be stronger once the marking is complete and fully be one, feel each other's emotions, and thoughts. My wolf howled in ecstasy even before it happened.

Just as I stood up to grab some water from the mini fridge, my ph one chimed and I rushed to it. My smile widened when I saw my mate's name flash on my screen.

"AAAW, babe, she's so in love, look at her," Emilia gushed, touching her chest.

"We are happy you're happy," Levy said. After I replied to my mate's message, I grabbed my water and drank it all. I sat back on the bed and asked Levy,

"Hey, so you mentioned you have a surprise for me?" I asked and the two lovers shared a glance. They were being dramatic and Emilia did a drumroll before Levy announced, "I've found TRISTIN!"

My hands flew to my mouth and I let out a scream.

"How?"I asked.

"Remember when we told you that we were visiting Emilia's pack in the south? That's where he is and guess what?"

"What?"

"He's a beta to the Grey Lycan pack," He informed me and I jumped into his arms, hugging him and he carried me as he jumped around. I couldn't believe it. Tristin was one of my best friends and I missed him so dearly, I was glad to know that he was doing well. "But how is he the beta there?" I asked, confused. From what I knew, Tristin had no relation to the Grey Lycan pack.

"After he went rogue, he was traveling around the world, causing mischief, and on one of his travels, he met the Alpha, they were close buddies in college, and asked him to join his pack, they got along well and later, he became the beta," He told me and I was smiling from ear to ear.

"And we have more news," Emilia said and I gave her my attention.

"He is coming to visit in three days, he can since Vince is no longer Alpha, you are," I clapped my hands in excitement. The rest of the day we did all the fun things we could, drink beer like Emilia likes and go for karaoke, Levy's favorite, and later, we watched the stars, the night was wonderful and the breeze was cool.

I woke up early the next morning to talk to the people of the pack, it was a tradition that we all go for a jog together and I joined them.

Everyone was happy to see me back and a few elders even thanked me for what I did for the pack, marrying Alpha Edward was what we needed for this pack to survive this far, and now, things are slowly getting back to how they used to be. Levy and I visited the fields and I was pleased to see that there was progress in that sector as well, the agriculturalists were delighted to see and we discussed a little about the future. It started to rain when I went back home.

"Hello, sister," My stepbrother Vince, smiled like a creep. He had a drink in his hand. I had not seen him since my return as he was avoiding me,

"Vince," I sighed in a bored tone. Evil, oops, I mean Evelyn appeared next to her son, smiling at me. What were they up to?

"Can we talk to you?" She asked politely. I grimaced at how soft her voice was. This woman has never liked me since the day she came into this house, why then is she being mannerly?

"Please," She added. I observed them before nodding. We sat in the entertainment room. I was waiting for them to speak first but they were just watching me and no doubt mind linking among themselves.

"You asked to speak to me, do it or I'll leave. You're wasting my time," I said.

"Oh yea, sorry. Mother, start please," Vince urged and Evelyn glared at him.

"Why can't you go first?" She hissed.

"Mother," He called in a warning tone. I glanced at my wristwatch, I was expecting a call from Edward and these idiots are wasting my time. I attempted to stand up when Evelyn spoke, I was dreading this conversation but stayed.
