POV

My heart was thumping in my chest. Edward was here and he wanted to see me. However, I wasn't surprised that he was here, Blanco warned me that Edward attacked him at the king's party. I wasn't ready to see my mate but I needed to hear what he had to say. "I'm tired, I'll see him when I can," I said, leaving my best friend dumbfounded. Levy followed me upstairs and I narrowed my gaze at him. "He doesn't look like he'll leave anytime soon," He informed me.

"I don't care, and please tell him that if he forces his way in like he did last time, he'll never see me again," I said coldly. I wasn't going to entertain him after what he did to me but it would be nice to see Love again. I missed everyone at the manor even though I resented them for not trying to get in contact with me. He f****d that b***h and caused me pain, yet, they did nothing.

Levy left the room with a long sigh and muttered something incoherent. With the help of Pauline, I took a shower, my mind swaying to my mate who was at the border. Has he left? I left the shower and lay in bed, my eyes were shut yet sleep couldn't come easily until dawn came. Finally, sleep started to creep in now and I allowed my eyes to close.

I woke up a few hours later to many flowers and chocolates in my room. I smiled as I smelt them and instantly they put me in a pleasant mood. I took a bath and rushed downstairs, surprised, I found Tristin, Ellis, and Blanco eating lunch in the dining room. I kissed each one of them and sat on the table.

"Thanks for the flowers," I said, but they looked lost as to what I was talking about.

"We didn't come with any flowers," I raised an eyebrow.

'Edward sent them for us,' Liana said. I could sense the excitement in her tone even though she didn't show it too much.

"Really?"

I glowered at Pauline who was serving me breakfast. What has cupid done this time? If Edward sent flowers to me, only she can accept them.

"Why did you guys come early," I asked.

"We missed you

"I've only been gone three weeks," I chuckled

"And we have many meetings in this area. Can we stay in the pack for a week?" Asked Tristin.

"Sure,"

Blanco's gaze traveled to Ellis and I sighed.

"I'll be watching him, do your thing," I said and he sent me a flying kiss that I received and put on my chest. Ellis made a sound. He has made it clear that he doesn't want me to marry his dad because he has many women and will not want me to be part of them as I am special. So, he made me promise that I'll reject Blanco's marriage proposal.

The morning was beautiful but something kept tugging at my heart, I was in the garden, sitting when Ellis came to me.

"Hi," I kissed his hair.

"Are your friends coming here or are you going there?" I asked. He mentioned that he had a playdate today.

"They are coming here, and in three days, I'm going to their packhouse because it's the birthday party of my other friend, Jace," He told me and I nodded.

"How come you have friends here?" I asked.

"We meet at leadership camps," He told me, indeed, young future Alphas, betas, gammas, and high-ranking warriors are taken to camps to learn their roles in their various packs.

"Will you take me to the party, Cali?"

"Yes, where is it?" I said, rubbing my stomach. I don't think I can travel for too long though.

"I'll tell you the name when he sends me details, it's just close by actually," He said. I sighed, my pack is in the middle of so many packs so we are not far from everyone.

We spent minutes in silence when he asked. "Are you alright? You look sad,"

"No, Ellis, not at all," I confessed. The truth is that all I wanted was to hear Edward's explanation but my pride as a woman couldn't let me. It would be making this easy for Edward, he'd think he has the right to treat me like crap. "I'm sorry, is it your mate?"

"You know about that?"

"Of course! I'm hoping my new friend will be my mate,"

Lately, Ellis has been talking to a girl often, and he likes her a lot.

"I hope she is," I told him and he put his head on my arm.

"You know my friend's mommy is away from home and, she and her father are unhappy too,"

"I'm very sorry to hear that," I said.

"Yes, her mother's evil doppelganger fooled everyone and because of her, her mommy left home," I almost chuckled at that. Where do kids get all these stories from? I listened attentively as he told the story, and I repressed my laughter.

"I'm sorry that is happening,"

"No, you're not," He said, a bit annoyed that I wasn't taking him seriously.

"I'm sure her husband more than anyone would know his real wife," I said solemnly. I would be so hurt if some woman pretended to be me and my husband doesn't tell the difference even if our faces were identical," It sounds unreal, a movie or something made up,"

"Love doesn't lie, and what would you do if you were her mommy?" He said. I narrowed my gaze at him. "Love, your friend's name is Love?"

A smile made its way to my lips. Love is indeed a beautiful name and I was reminded of MY adorable Love Chasia.

"Yes and she's from the Golden Stone Pack," He informed me and my heart left my chest for a second back there. No, it couldn't be. I'm sure it's another Love because My Love is only six years old.

"But that's not the name you call her when we talk!"

"Yes, I use my pet name for her, Lovely girl" He shrugged. "Get it? Because her name is Love, and she hates it because her father calls her that too," He chuckled at last. Could it be My Love Ellis's first love interest? I wanted to ask more questions but Pauline approached us, she bowed to us,

"Ellis, your guests are here," The omega was smiling from ear to ear. What has she done to make her smile like that?

"Let's go," Ellis exacted his hand to me like a gentleman and I took it, holding his hand tightly as we walked to the house. My wolf stirred in my head as my heart pounded against my chest at an incredible pace at the scent we were picking up.
