The Mysterious Luna -
Chapter 25
Alpha Colton POV
I was taken back, when Jessica asked to see Hector. It showed that she was curious about our kind. Hector was ecstatic with the idea of meeting Jessica in person.
I couldn’t help the smirk that formed on my face, when I caught Jessica peaking at me, when I was undressing. Her face blushed with embarrassment and it was cute. It made her more attractive, if that’s even possible.
Once I shifted into my wolf, she was nervous at first, so Hector took it slow with her. It didn’t take long, before she relaxed and started to pet my wolf.
Hector was practically purring at the action. He was excited to have one on one time with Jessica, for some strange reason.
When she sat down on the ground,he curled up next to her and wouldn’t give me back control. I kept fighting for it, but he didn’t give in. I was getting irritated with him, I don’t want Jessica to get the wrong idea.
We had been sitting silently for almost an hour, while Jessica continued to run her fingers through Hectors fur. By this time, she had completely relaxed in his presence.
While Hector was distract by Jessica, I was finally able to take back control. I got up from the ground and shifted back into my human form.
Jessica turned her head, when I stood in front of her naked. I chuckled at her reaction, while I got dressed.
“Sorry, nudity isn’t really a big deal for werewolves, since we shift often.” I said and she glanced over at me, after I put my pants back on.
I saw her eyes linger on my bare chest, as I slipped my shirt back on and for some reason, I like that she was checking me out.
“Oh ya, that makes sense. Hector is amazing by the way. He’s so handsome.” Jessica said, with a genuine smile.
Hector was prancing proudly in my head, when he heard her words.
“You just made his day, he’s pretty proud of himself. Now, I’ll never hear the end of it.” I replied, while rolling my eyes. Jessica chuckled and I instantly smiled. The sound of her voice, would make anyone smile.
“So, what’s going to happen now? I mean, I can’t stay here forever.” Jessica asked and I frowned at the question. I honestly don’t know the answer. She’s right, I can’t keep them here forever, I’ll need to think of something.
“I’m not sure. Maybe we can figure that out, after we meet with the witch. She might have useful information for us.” I replied, with a frown.
“Ok, but Sam has work this week. I don’t know how long she will be willing to stay here.” Jessica said.
“Ya, we will figure it out. What about your job? Do you need to contact your boss?” I asked curiously. I wonder why, she hasn’t asked to call her boss yet.
“No, I was about to quit anyway, so I don’t need to talk with him.” She replied with a shoulder shrug, but I didn’t miss the nervous tone in her voice. Something must of happened, I thought to myself.
“You always seemed so happy, when you were working in the coffee shop. Did something happen?” I asked, with a concerned frown. She didn’t say anything right away. I could see that she was struggling, on whether or not she wanted to tell me something.
“You’ve been watching me at work?” She’s asked curiously. I knew she was avoiding my question.
“Ummm… Ya, I kinda had a few of my men watching you, after Alpha Ryan found you at the club.” I said sheepishly, while rubbing the back of my head, with my hand. She looked at me curiously. I was pleased, that she wasn’t angry or weirded out by my confession.
“I thought you said, you weren’t at the club that night?” She asked, with a confused frown.
Crap, I really put my foot in my mouth.
“Well ummm, ok. I was at the club, but only to make sure Alpha Ryan didn’t hurt you.” I replied nervously. I sure hope, she stops asking all the questions.
“Were you guys the ones, that got into a fight that night?” She asked and I simply nodded.
“Come on, let’s go and replace Samantha and Josh.” I said, trying to change the subject.
“Ok.” She replied and we made our way out of the forest, towards the pack house.
I had mind-link Josh and he told me, that they were in Sam’s room, so I brought Jessica there.
I had a few things I need to do, so I figured I’d leave the ladies with Josh. He’s pretty good at entertaining.
We reached her room and the door was open. I could hear laughing from inside, so we walked right in. I found Sam and Josh sitting on the couch, chuckling at something.
“What’s so funny?” I asked, as they both noticed us walking in.
“Oh, Josh was just telling me, about the time you had toilet paper wrapped around your ankle, for an entire meeting and he didn’t tell you, until the meeting was over.” Sam blurted out and started to laugh hysterically again. I glared at Josh and he simply shrugged his shoulders, while laughing as well. Even Jessica joined in. Goddess, I hate the guy sometimes.
“I have a few things to take care of. Why don’t you stay with Josh and Sam, for a while?” I asked Jessica, trying to change the subject.
“Sounds good.” She answered and walked over to the couch, before sitting next to Josh.
It bothered me that she was sitting so close to Josh. He noticed and put his arm around Jessica’s shoulders, before looking at me with a smirk on his face. He was trying to get a reaction out of me, I thought to myself. It took everything in me, not to rip his arm off and slap him in the face with it.
I let out a frustrated sigh and stomped out of the room, before I did something I would regret.
I’m going to have to teach him a serious lesson, during training tomorrow.
I made my way to my office and took a seat behind my desk. I need to contact the witch and arrange a time, when she can come and meet Jessica.
I called her and she was more than happy, to come by tomorrow. I was relieve that she could come so soon. I really hope she can answer some questions for us. More importantly, I really want to help Jessica figure out who she is. It must of been so hard for her, to wake up one day with no memories of her previous life. She literally started over from scratch and I admire how strong she is for that.
What am I going to do about Samantha? She can’t stay here forever. Jessica is right, she has a job and at some point, she’s going to need to go back to the city.
I was brought out of my thoughts, when there was a knock at the door.
“Come in” I announced.
The door opened and Kyle walked in. He took a seat across from me.
“What’s going on, Gamma?”I asked curiously.
“Alpha, patrol spotted a few wolves, just outside our territory. We weren’t able to confirm, if they were rogues or not. They seemed to be taking notes of our patrol patterns.” Kyle replied with a concerned frown.
“It could be Alpha Ryan’s men. Make sure patrol is on high alert and add a few extra warriors.” I ordered. This isn’t good, I hope it’s not Alpha Ryan.
“You got it Alpha.”Kyle replied.
“How’s it going with Jessica and that human, they settling in ok?” Kyle asked with an eyebrow raised.
“What’s that suppose to mean? They’re only here because of Alpha Ryan. They won’t be staying.” I replied, not liking the way, Kyle asked the question. Kyle raised his hands up in surrender.
“I just know that Heather wasn’t very happy after breakfast, when she saw you paying so much attention to Jessica. She stomped out of the dinner hall, like an angry toddler.” He replied and chuckled, while shaking his head. I let out a frustrated sigh, I should probably talk to Heather, she has no reason to be jealous.
“We need to try and keep Heather away from them, while they stay here. I really don’t need her causing any problems.” I said, with a frustrated tone.
“You got it Alpha. If there’s nothing else, I’m going to head out.” Kyle replied and stood from his chair.
“No, that’s everything. Thanks.” I said and watched as Kyle left my office.
What am I going to do about Heather? In one hand, my pack needs a Luna and she already knows the role. But on the other hand, can I really spend the rest of my life with her? I can barely stand being in the same room as her. Plus, I just met Jessica and I already prefer spending time with her.
I tried to get some paperwork done, but couldn’t focus. All I could think about, was Jessica. I wonder what kind of bullshit, Josh is telling her about me.
I decided to mind-link him.
‘What are you guys doing?’ I asked, trying to sound casual.
‘We’re playing pool. Jessica’s quite the shark at it. The warriors are enjoying her company.” Josh replied and I could hear the amusement in his tone. He knew what he was doing, when he mentioned the warriors. He’s intentionally trying to set me off. Well, it worked.
I left my office and stormed down to the lounge. I was agitated, I didn’t like the thought of my warriors flirting with her.
Once I got down to the lounge, I immediately spotted Jessica by a pool table. She was leaning over the table, about to make a shot. She was playing with one of my warriors, Tyler. He’s quite the ladies man, the she-wolves are always fighting for his attention. It bothered me that she was playing with him. I don’t even know why, it’s not like she’s mine but I couldn’t help the emotions, from running through my body.
There was also a group of warriors standing behind Jessica and I saw them looking at her a*s, while she was bent over. A possessive growl left my lips and it caused everyone in the room, to turn and look at me.
Everyone had surprised expressions on their face, when they noticed me. I don’t usually go into the lounge, I like to stick to myself for the most part.
“Did he just growl?” Sam asked, with a confused frown, while glancing between Josh and I.
“Umm no, I didn’t hear anything.” Josh replied nervously. Clearly trying to cover up for me.
“Hey, do you want to play next? I was just kicking Tyler’s a*s, over here. I don’t mind doing the same to you when I’m done?” Jessica teased, with a playful grin. Her cheerful mood was contagious, it instantly relaxed me and my anger faded away.
“You can try, but I doubt you will. I’m pretty good at pool.” I teased back, while rolling up my sleeves and grabbing a cue stick.
“I think you guys should bet on it.” Josh said, with a mischievous smile on his face.
“Ohhhh ya, how about the winner gets a k**s from the loser!” Samantha said excitement. She also had a mischievous smirk on her face. Man, she’s like the prettier version of Josh.
“That doesn’t even make sense, if the loser k****s the winner, it also means the winner k****s the loser.” Jessica said, while shaking her head in disbelief.
“Whatever, we’ve decide that those are the rules.” Samantha said and shrugged her shoulders. Jessica just chuckled, before she raked the balls to start the game.
I’m not going to lie, the thought of kissing Jessica, really appealed to me. Hector was excited about the bet, He wanted me to up the antes and make sure it was a k**s with tongue. I had to shove him to the back of my mind and ignore his crazy ideas. He can be such a horn ball.
We started to play and I was impressed, she was really good at pool.
“You weren’t lying, you’re pretty good.” I said casually.
“Ya, I must of played before.” She replied, while shrugging her shoulders.
We got to the end of the game, the black ball was the only one remaining and it was my turn.
I lined myself up to make the shot.
“He’s going to choke.” Josh coughed out behind me, clearly trying to get into my head.
I made the shot and sunk the black ball, making me the winner of the game. I was excited inside, but tried to act casual, so that no one knew.
“Oh s**t, he won! Jessica has to k**s Colton.” Samantha squealed out excitedly.
“Good game. I guess I owe you a k**s.” Jessica said shyly and I could see the blush on her face.
“You don’t have t…” I started to say, but stopped, when Jessica’s lips crashed against mine.
I was surprised by her boldness but her lips felt so good against mine, that it didn’t take long before I started kissing her back.
The k**s started gently and soft, but progressed into a passionate one. I was surprised, when Jessica’s mouth opened, inviting me to deepen the k**s.
I took the opportunity and invaded her mouth with my tongue. Goddess, she tastes so good. A m**n left her lips, as I continued to k**s her and my desire for her, grew within me. I was completely in a trance, it felt like we were the only two in the room.
My hands moved on their own accord, into her hair and I brushed my fingers through her silky smooth locks.
I heard someone clear their throat, bringing me out of the trance. I pulled away from the k**s, Jessica’s eyes were still closed and she had a flushed face. She looked like she was still lost in the moment. What did I just do? That shouldn’t of happened.
I didn’t have much time to dwell on it, before an angry looking Heather came into sight. s**t, this isn’t good, I thought to myself.
