Chapter 64

Alpha Colton POV

A few days had gone by since I woke up from the coma. There has been no change, in regards to Alpha Philip and his men. Our spies that have been watching his territory, haven’t seen anything out of the ordinary.

Alpha Peter is still staying on our territory, but did tell me that he needs to head back to his own territory soon. He’s provided several of his warriors to help reinforce our border patrol and said he would fight by our side, if a war was to start.

My strength is pretty much back to normal and the wounds I have, are practically fully healed. It was a slower recovery than normal, because of the wolfbane in my system, but I’m getting there. I have a follow up appointment with Doctor Erickson a little later today, I’m really hoping he gives me to green light so that I can get back to my normal routine.

Not being able to claim Jess, has been pure torture. I keep trying to seduce her, but fail miserably. She definitely has a stronger will than I do. She’s stuck to her word, that she won’t do anything with me, not until the doctor says I’m healthy. I swear to the moon goddess, I’ll turn Dr. Erickson into a damn rogue today if he doesn’t clear me. My s****l frustration has been through the roof and I’ve been taking it out mainly on Kyle and Josh. The poor guys want the doctor to clear me just as much as I do.

I also hate not being able to participate in training, especially with the threat of war on us. I’ve attended the training sessions, but Josh and I have been forced to sit on the sidelines and watch. Sam certainly laid down the law with him and is making sure he takes it easy. I know he’s just as frustrated as I am and wants to get back to normal.

Today Jess and her mother are training with our warriors. They’re trying to figure out a way, that they can use their magic to benefit our men in a fight. As much as I want to participate in the training, I do love watching my mate taking control and leading the session. She continues to amaze me, she’s become so confident and strong. I can see how much my people already respect her. I can’t wait to officially make her my Luna.

“Listen up everyone. Today we’re going to try fighting, while Beth and I use magic to help you. It might feel a little odd at first, but try and get use to the sensation and whatever you do, keep fighting.” Jess announced, getting the full attention of the warriors. They all looked excited to see what kind of tricks Jess had up her sleeve. I’m not going to lie, I am too.

“Expect things like us lifting you up in the air using nothing but magic, as well as moving you from opponent to opponent, without actually touching you. We will also freeze your opponents movements at times, but beware, the effects only lasts a few seconds before the spell wears off.” She continued to explain.

“Ok, let’s start with two on one and we will increase the number of opponents as we progress. Beth and I will go around, from group to group and assist where we can using our magic. Now, pair up in groups of three and start fighting.” She instructed and the warriors were quick to comply.

My men started to fight, while Jess and Beth moved through the field. They would stop at each group and spend time, helping the lone fighter beat his two opponents.

It was incredible to watch, Jess was so focused and when she used her magic, her eyes glowed like her mother had before. She was lifting the warriors in the air and moving them at an inhumane speed, always putting them in an ideal position to strike their opponents.

At first, the warriors seemed hesitant and uncomfortable when they were moved around, but after a few tries, they got use to the sensation and used it to their advantage. Every one of them, was able to beat both their opponents with the help of either, Jess or Beth.

“Damn Alpha, that’s some pretty cool s**t Jess can do. You better stay on her good side.” Josh teased.

“Ya, no kidding.” I replied, with a chuckle.

Jess is one hell of a power house, she could do some serious damage with her abilities, not to mention, even her wolf is big and strong.

They practiced for several hours, getting better and better as time went by. By the end of the training session, the warriors were able to take on five opponents at a time and successfully beat them. I couldn’t help the proud smile that spread across my face, Jess did amazing.

Once training was over, I gave Jess a k**s goodbye and headed to the hospital to meet with Doctor Erickson.

“Alpha, how have you been feeling?” The doctor asked, as I took a seat on the examination bed.

“Way better Doctor, I’d say I’m pretty much back to normal.” I replied and he nodded.

“Good to hear, let me check a few things and I’ll have you on your way.” The doctor said, as he started to look over all my wounds.

He also took a sample of my b***d to scan for wolfbane.

Once he was done his examination, he had me wait in his office for the results. It only took 20 minutes before he entered the office holding a piece of paper.

“Good news, Alpha. The wolfbane is completely out of your system and all the wounds have healed nicely, you’re practically good as new.” He reported, while taking a seat behind his desk.

“That’s great. I need that in writing, Jess won’t believe me unless I have proof.” I half joked.

“Here, you can show her this.” He said with a chuckle, while handing me the paper with the results.

“Thanks doctor, you’re a lifesaver.” I replied, before taking the piece of paper and leaving his office.

I couldn’t wait to replace Jess and give her the good news, there’s nothing stopping us now form mating and marking each other. Goddess, I can’t wait to leave my mark on her neck. She better not have any plans tonight, because if she does, she’s going to be canceling them. We’ve waited long enough for this day and I don’t want to wait any longer.

I reached the pack house and ran into Kyle, who was just heading out the front door.

“Hey, is there any update from the spies?” I asked curiously.

“Not much, Alpha Philip’s met with Alpha Marco on his territory. They spent a couple of hours in a meeting together, other then that, it’s been pretty quiet over there.” He replied.

“Ok, good. I have something planned for Jess and I tonight, I don’t want to me disturbed unless it’s an urgent matter, understood?” I ordered, while giving him a pointed look.

“Of course Alpha. I take it the doctor finally cleared you?“ he asked, with a knowing smirk.

“It’s none of your business, Gamma. Just remember what I said, do not disturb us unless it’s important.” I reiterated in a grumble, as I walked past him and into the pack house. He was chuckling as I went by, sometimes he can be just as bad as Josh, when it comes to teasing me.

Jessica POV

After training was over, I walked back to the pack house with my mother. She seemed lost in thought.

“What’s wrong, you seemed spaced out?” I asked, while glancing over at her.

“I’ve decided to give Alpha Peter a shot, I’m going to move back to his territory with him.” She replied, while glancing over at me nervously.

“That’s awesome. When do you guys leave?” I asked excitedly.

“Tomorrow, there’s a few matters that came up that require his attention, so he needs to get back right away.” She replied, while while watching my reaction. My smile fell slightly, at how soon she was leaving, but I quickly recomposed myself not wanting her to second guess her decision.

“Wow, that soon eh? I’m going to miss you.” I said truthfully, while smiling over at her.

“You have no idea how much I’m going to miss you too.” She replied, before wrapping her arms around me in a big hug.

“I want you to keep me update with everything going on here. As soon as Alpha Philip and his men make a move, I’ll be back to fight with you.” She added, as she pulled away from the embrace.

“I will, I promise.” I replied.

“I better go pack, I haven’t even started yet. I’ll come replace you later.” My mother sighed, before leaving me and heading towards her room.

I was happy she decided to go with Alpha Peter, they belong together and I know he makes her happy and that’s the most important thing. I certainly will miss having her around, so will Sam, they’ve become really close over the past few weeks.

I went to kitchen to grab a snack and ran into Sam.

“Hey, how’s it going?” I asked, while pulling out a plate of leftovers from the fridge. She looked over her shoulder and greet me with a big smile.

“Good, Josh got cleared by the doctor today, so he’s happy that I can’t nag him to rest anymore. Has Colton gone to the doctor yet?” She asked, while slicing some cheese cubes for a charcuterie plater.

“He’s at his appointment now, I wonder what the doctors going to recommend?” I replied, while all of a sudden feeling both nervous and excited.

If he’s cleared, there’s nothing stopping up from completing the bond. It’s been such a build up with everything going on that, I’m actually nervous. I just want it to perfect and a night that we both remember for the rest of our lives.

“Oh girl, if the doctor gives him the green light, watch out. I’m gonna bet you guys are gonna have some sexy times tonight.” She teased, while wiggling her eyebrows, causing me to blush at the thought.

“Shut up!” I spat, causing her to giggle.

“I’m just saying, if Colton’s s*x drive is anything like Josh’s, you’re in trouble. I tried to refuse him the past few days since he was suppose to be resting, but he’s sneaky, he somehow got me to cave. It was like having s*x with a glass doll, I was constantly worried I was gonna break him.” She joked, while demonstrating how she rod him, at a turtle pace. I shook my head in disbelief at the visual she gave me.

“Seriously, I didn’t need to hear any of that.” I chuckled and she simply shrugged her shoulders.

“Speaking of, it’s time for me to replace that fluffy beast. I promised he could take me to pound town, once the doctor cleared him. It was the only way I could get him to take it easy the past few days.” She said, while shaking her head and rolling her eyes, causing me to laugh once again.

She took the plater of food and after saying goodbye, she left me alone in the kitchen to go and replace her mate.

I finished my snack, before leaving the kitchen. Colton should be done at the doctors office by now, I wonder where he is. I decided to go and check our bedroom, I’m anxious to hear what the doctor said.
