The Palace Beast -
Chapter 102 - Save the Day
*** ZEUS'S PALACE ***
The banquet was on. The gods were drinking to the honor of Ares and his conquest. They all cheered and hailed him for bringing them victory. Zeus stood to his feet and calls the gods' attention as he wishes to address them. He glances at the gods surrounding him and then moved towards the center of the banquet hall and stood at the center as he began to speak. "My fellow gods and immortals, I'm glad that the warlocks have failed woefully in sending us back to the sky. Now we shall live amongst mortals and enslave them all if they fail to acknowledge us."
On hearing him speak, the gods cheered in excitement. Their plans to rule over mortals or enslave them are becoming a success and thanks to Ares who have made it possible by defeating the warlocks who have been standing in their way. ...Inside the Mystic Cave...
John helped Neena to her feet after he slew Cerberus. He led her to the spirits' herbs and let her sit beside them.
"Thanks for saving me. I know I can count on you."
"You saved me first. We are even now."
"Perhaps you can heal me."
"How am I supposed to heal an ancient witch?"
"The power you possess is almost all my powers. I put that in you for a purpose and when the right time comes, you will know why. Right now, I need you to place your right hand on my forehead."
"Do you know anything about how I got here?"
"No, but I know you will replace the Bonnie someday."
John approaches Neena and bends down. He brought his hand and places it on Neena's forehead as she instructed. Out of his palm shone a bright light that entered Neena's body. The bright light traveled from her forehead and entered into her wound.
As John watched in awe, he saw the wound healing. "Wow!" he exclaimed. "This is amazing," he said.
"The injury is meant to kill me."
"I thought you can't die?"
John knew Neena as an immortal beyond destruction. Seeing her wounded and her saying 'the injury is meant to kill her,' John was lost and thought otherwise.
"Yes, I'm immortal but you have almost all my powers in you. I managed to use the little power left in me to fight the poison from the spear from killing me."
"I don't get it. Why will you put yourself at risk giving me almost all your powers knowing that there's danger ahead."
Neena grinned as she dragged herself up. She's healed completely. She turned and faces John and grinned again. "You want to use your trick to make me speak on the matters I do not wish to speak on, at least, not for now." She believes that John was trying to replace out things from her and the only way to do that was to ask her indirectly.
"I have been curious since I got here and I need answers. If you know anything, tell me, please."
"The warlocks' castle has been destroyed. Warlocks were killed and many taking into captivity including the warlock lord. If you can rescue them, I will tell you what you need to know."
"No can do. I have Bonnie to look after. You summoned me and I came leaving her with the man that put her in her current state. If you are not going to tell me what I need to know now, I have no need to stay here."
John turned to leave. His best shot in replaceing answers is sticking around with Bonnie who promised to help him. Although this is not about just helping him anymore; they're getting intimate with one another.
"Wait!" Neena grabbed John's hand. "Perhaps if you listened to me when I asked you to go to Ozenzo, that he will tell you what you must do, you would have found the answers you seek."
John turned and fixes his eyes on Neena, he cast a searing gaze at her. "Something tells me you know how I got here."
"If you want the Bonnie, help me rescue the warlocks."
"Why not do that since you are the all-powerful witch."
"I can't do that with you possessing almost all my powers. I need you to help me."
"Did you put your powers in me to make me your errand boy, huh?" John glared at Neena. At this time, he's no longer comfortable possessing the powers of Neena. He wouldn't want to be anyone's errand boy or anyone trying to make him do their bidding.
"If you refuse to help me rescue the warlocks, you will never know how you got here, and by the next full moon, I will take all my powers from you and you will be vulnerable or even end up dead." "Is that a threat?"
John's eyes glowed blue. He doesn't like Neena's tone on him. He wanted to end her right now and take the consequences but he was reminded by his conscience that he's not a killer even though 'No Man's Land' is making him look like
one.

"No my friend, I am not threatening you but I speak the Bonnie."
Neena gets what she wants whenever she wants that. She's isn't making threats but speaking about what will happen to John if he fails to help her.
"Where are they held?"
"The very first place you found yourself when you got here, Zeus' palace, his dungeon precisely."
"You must be fucking kidding me!" John yelled. He glared at Neena and then opened his mouth to speak, "You want me to go back to the same place the two warlocks rescued me from? What if I never return again, huh?" "With my powers in you, they will never do you any harm." Neena was confident in that and spoke with assurance.
"Why not take your powers back and go do it yourself, how about that, huh?"
It's now clear that Neena is really hiding something from John. It's quite simple. Let her take back her powers and do it herself. What's the big deal about it anyway?"
...At the Bunker: Inside the Woods...
The chief was instructed to watch over Bonnie who was still lying unconscious from her deep sleep. He was seated beside the table where Bonnie was laid and his head was placed on the table. He felt Bonnie's right arm move. Without wasting time he raised his head off the table.
Bonnie exhales deeply and quickly sat up. She turned and saw the very man that put her to deep sleep. As the chief was about to stand to his feet to move away from the table, Bonnie grabbed him by the neck and hissed at him with a glare. "Someone is going to die today."
