"It's alright, but just care for your siblings that's all I'm asking from you, I know it's not easy to care for children but you have to do it and God will strengthen you," Mrs pearl says reaching out for my hand.

I nod, "Okay ma'am let me take my leave," I say getting up from my seat, I put the money back in my bag and thank her once again.

I leave the room, walking through the hallways of the school as I leave the school.

I get home and knock on the door, Jake opens the door for me, his eyes go to the bags in my hands and he takes them from me.

By this time Emily is already awake, watching her favorite movie Peter Pan. She looks up from her movie as she sees me entering the house and she jumps up to hug me.

"Emily, how are you?" I say as I carry her up, She looks at me and smiles revealing her baby teeth.

"I'm fine, how are you?" She cups my face with her small hand.

"I'm good, you didn't wake up early this morning to pray for me like you always do," I said pouting.

"Oh!" She exclaims facepalming while she's still in my arms, "I'm so sorry, I was too tired last night, I cooked a lot of food last night," she said yawning, that's just a facade for not praying for me which makes me chuckle. Her food tastes delicious though.

"It's alright, have you eaten?" I ask her.

"Yeah, Aunt Lily fed me," she said.

It's already evening, Lily must have gone to work.

"Okay, guess what I got you?" I cock my eyebrows at her.

"Umm," she massages her temples, "Chocolate?" She looks at me waiting for my validation.

"Yes, that's one the other is what?" I ask.

She thinks for a while unable to come up with an answer, "I don't know," she strains, furrowing her eyebrows in frustration.

"Alright, I'll give you," I drop her on the floor, I put my hand inside my handbag and bring out the chocolate and cookies I bought for her.

I bought her so many because I've been unable to buy them for her for a while, she strolls to where Jake is sitting giggling and showing him her hand full of candy, chocolates, Sweets, and cookies. "Take one," She tells Jake, Jake looks at me for approval, and I nod and he takes one from her, "Thanks," He says to her and she goes away from his view and drops everything in her hand on her play chair. Jake looks at me and smiles, "Seems your date went well after all," he says with a smirk.

I roll my eyes at him, silly boy.

I got to the kitchen to prepare food. I remember how happy my siblings were at my return.

I wonder what will be their reaction when I tell them about my health because they don't still know about it.

I feel bad for keeping such a secret from them but I have limited options in this situation, telling them isn't something I plan to do anytime soon but I pray these medications sustain me for a while.

I cooked and served them. We all ate. I joined Emily to watch her Peter Pan. When she's done watching, she'll tell me she doesn't want to grow too and I should take her to Wonderland.

Funny enough she's been growing every second without even knowing.

Jake is seriously reading his novel, soon he feels sleepy and he heads to the room to sleep but he stops and carries Emily from my body.
