Phoebe's POV

I'm always getting into trouble all my life. I've always gotten myself into trouble one way or the other, it's either the trouble comes looking for me or I go look for it, either way trouble is always on its way to me. How did I get involved with Ethan in the first place? I don't even know what to do or how to feel, and now I even got a job at his company?

For the past 20 minutes I've been beating myself inside, I haven't even spared Ray a glance, I wish I never heard of his name.

"Ma'am, we are here," I hear Ray's voice cut through my train of thoughts.

I look out the window and I replace out that he was actually saying the truth, he unlocks the car from the driver's seat, and I alight from the car.

I asked Ray to drop me at the nearest bus stop to my house because I don't even want him to know where I live.

I start walking home thinking about what I have gotten myself into, just then I remember that my phone has been switched off since we left that restaurant.

And Lily must have tried to reach me and she will be replaceing it difficult, shit!!!, I switch the phone on and I see all the voicemail Messages, "shit," I go to my contacts to call her back.

I called her the first time and she didn't pick up, I dropped the phone back in my bag, when I get home I'll call her again.

I hasten my steps because my younger siblings will be so mad at me I can't even imagine how they'll be feeling, I get to my home and open the house with my own spare key.

I don't replace Jake and Emily sitting in the living room, that alone feels weird, maybe they were tired of me and decided to sleep, I say to myself.

I walk to the room and I don't replace them there, panic starts kicking in, "Jake, Emily I'm home," I yell, hoping it's not what I'm thinking.

I start searching everywhere in the house, I go to the kitchen, the basement, everywhere, and I don't replace them.

My breathing becomes rapid. I go to get my medications, I take some pills and try to calm myself but it doesn't work as expected because I'm not able to pretend to myself that my siblings aren't missing.

I sit on the chair because I don't want to faint. I start thinking where they would be. It doesn't even look like they had entered this house after I left, everywhere is just the way it was when I left to see Ethan this morning.

I take out my phone and call Lily again, I begin to wonder if Lily is safe as well, the last Voicemail she sent me was that she had picked them from school, or maybe are they at her house, I doubt so Emily and Jake are not the kind that like staying outside their home at night.

Even if they were with her she would have brought them back because it's late already.

Lily's number doesn't go through, I call again and the electronic responder tells me her phone is switched off.

It's already so late in the night I would have asked my neighbors if any of them saw Jake and Emily, I'm just hoping they are safe because I would never forgive myself if anything happened to them.

I get up from the chair I'm sitting on, I take the money Ethan gave to me and lock the house, I start running to Lily's house.

While I'm running to her house I don't even mind that my own life could be endangered, I wouldn't be able to have a good night's rest if I don't see Jake and Emily tonight, and if I don't see them tonight I'm going to the police station

tomorrow.

I don't even know what to think I start crying, soon I get to Lily's house and I replace a guy standing there.

I summoned courage and walked up to him, he doesn't seem much like a bad guy, and he looks frustrated as I am.

"Hey, who are you?" Where is Lily?" I ask him, He looks up at me, just then I realize he has been crying.

I don't say anything for a few minutes thinking of only one thing, I ruin Lily's first date and now she's missing. Fuck!

"Do you know where she is? Are you her friend? please if you know tell me," he gets up on his feet," I love her, she told me how much she's scared of being in a relationship but I just want her to give me a chance, I won't break her heart." I look at him, he doesn't even have the slightest idea that Lily is in trouble at the moment, he thinks she's running away from him.

"Lily isn't running away from you, Lily is in danger," I tell him my voice is firm enough to make him believe me.
