Furthermore, he absolutely hated Fane's look of indifference.

Fane's lips twitched helplessly. He turned to look at the sign-up sheet, only to notice that the 16 of them-including himself-were the only ones who signed up.

There were four empty spots to be filled before they could start, and if no one signed up, they would be forced to wait. If he ignored that guy, he would continue making a fuss. Even though Fane did not want to bother, there was nothing he could do about it. Fane said coldly, "Stop living in your own fantasies. How would you know what I'm thinking? What's this talk about dignity? It's all just your imagination. Do you think you're worthy of me putting my life on the line for my dignity?"

That group of people, especially Case, overestimated themselves too much. They thought that he was only challenging them because he did not want to be embarrassed. It was as if they were so important.

In truth, Fane merely did so because he wanted there to be more of a challenge in the fog battlefield. After all, it would just be nonstop killing once the fog battlefield started. If it was just going to be a one-sided slaughter, then it would just be too boring.

Fane wanted to challenge himself on the battlefield, which was why he made the bet with Jimmy at the start. He wanted to stir Jimmy's thirst for revenge so Jimmy would exhaust all the power of the Swelling Tide Continent to face him in the fog battlefield. Of course, they would never have guessed Fane's real intentions.

They would just try to understand Fane's actions with their own mindsets. In their eyes, Fane was just pretending to be larger than what he was and was a stubborn mule.

Those words were more than enough to tell everyone around them what happened.

Quite a few of them looked at Fane with surprise. Around two-thirds of them felt like Fane was crazy to go against the Swelling Tide Continent so brazenly. Most importantly, he was facing 15 of them alone. It was just absurd!

No matter how confident he was in his skills, there was no way he should be doing that. Even though there was a dense fog around the battlefield, it was still not a guarantee that he would not battle anyone where he would not be at a disadvantage with how many his opponents were. Then, there would

just be endless trouble.

A few people had left Cloud City just to avoid being targeted by Case. No one expected Case to be back and to have gotten into a fight with someone else so quickly. It was crazy!

All of them could see that Fane's tone was incredibly calm as well. It was as if Fane did not have fifteen opponents in front of him, but 15 ants that he could kill at any moment. The crowd started to murmur among themselves.

"Do you think this guy is putting on an act, or is he skilled enough to go against fifteen people?"

"He's obviously acting. Even the strongest warrior from the second-grade worlds would think before fighting fifteen opponents who are all above average. No one would act as if there's no danger like this guy is doing. It's like fifteen men are nothing to him."
