Chapter 49

Moore Corporation's headquarters was 68 stories high, with the top floor being Logan's domain. Only a dedicated elevator could reach the top, and it required a keycard. Besides the Moore family members, only a few trusted senior executives had access to it.

All other visitors, including guests, needed Logan's approval to use

the elevator.

So, even though Karen had managed to enter the building, it wasn't at guarantee that she would meet Logan. As expected, she was stopped at the reception.

"I'm Karen Stone." She pulled a business card from her Hermès bag and handed it to the receptionists. "You should know who I am. I'm close with Mr. Moore, and I'm his personal landscape designer. I designed Mr. Moore's villa and Moore Estate."

The truth was, the landscaping of Logan's private villa was based on an existing design, and he hadn't hired Karen for it.

His private residence's specifics were unknown to the employees. However, when Moore Estate was renovated, a beautiful female designer was indeed hired to redesign the gardens. They remembered that her surname was Stone.

"Hello, Ms. Stone," the two receptionists greeted politely.

"I'd like to see Mr. Moore. Please inform Mr. Gabrielson," Karen

requested.

Fred Gabrielson was Logan's trusted secretary. He was known for his loyalty and was a gatekeeper for anyone, especially young women, wanting to see Logan.

One of the receptionists, Anna, responded politely, "I'm sorry, Ms.

Stone, but Mr. Moore generally doesn't meet with young female visitors. We seek your understanding on this."

Karen's expression showed slight displeasure as she reiterated, "I'm Karen Stone. Mr. Moore will see me. Just tell Mr. Gabrielson. If Mr. Moore is busy, I'll wait. I have to see him today."

Given her insistence, Anna connected with Fred. "Mr. Gabrielson, a Ms. Stone who said that she's Mr. Moore's personal landscape

designer wishes to see him."

Having been with Logan for years, Fred was familiar with many details about the Moore family. He had a good memory, and when he heard Karen's name, he recalled her and mentally reviewed her

information.

"Mr. Moore does not meet with young female visitors. Tell Ms. Stone to leave," he instructed.

This Stone lady had gained fame from Moore Estate's renovation. project. She quickly rose from obscurity in the design world. She had developed feelings for Logan during the occasional garden discussions, but Logan felt nothing for her.

Fred internally scoffed at Karen's self-proclaimed title of "personal landscape designer". She really knew how to flatter herself.

He suspected Karen was publicly pursuing Logan now, possibly unaware that he had two children.

"Understood," Anna replied respectfully and hung up the phone.

"Well? Did Mr. Gabrielson tell you to let me up?" Karen asked, her eyes gleaming with confidence. She was sure Logan would see her.

As a talented and beautiful young woman, she believed Logan couldn't have forgotten her.

A few years ago, she.had waited, thinking Logan would pursue her.

When that didn't happen, she returned to Glendale, ready to set aside her pride and confess her long-held admiration for Logan. "Logan Moore, you will be mine!" she thought triumphantly.
