Unrivaled Dragon Lord -
Chapter 85 Where Is the Killer
The black dagger was carved with intricate and ancient patterns, like totems, magnificent and mysterious. On the blade of the dagger, there were many sharp barbs, like the teeth of a terrible and fierce animal! When Shusaku saw this dagger, he seemed to see something scary, and he widened his eyes in horror!
"Shusaku, remember the dagger?" Maxwell asked lightly. His tone was calm but cold.
"Dragon's Teeth... How did you get it?" Shusaku's voice trembled and he shook uncontrollably.
Maxwell gazed at the black dagger, recalling the Sharaku's previous memory.
Dragon's Teeth... He had kept the dagger or many years, just like his old friend, using it to fight numerous wars and killed enemies. Dragon's Teeth was only a weapon, but it could scare anyone off! Dragon's Teeth was a warning. As it was known to the overseas forces, Dragon's Teeth was Dragonlord's most ferocious and terrifying weapon!
Even the emperor should salute respectfully when he saw Dragon's Teeth, and his pride and confidence would be defeated, let alone Shusaku.
Dragon's Teeth could terrify all the forces at home and abroad, and would petrify both the common people and bigwigs!
"Shusaku, you dare forget my warning," Maxwell said lightly, with a terrible look in his eyes.
Shusaku shuddered, stared at Maxwell with his eyes wide open. Then something occurred to him, and he screamed hysterically, "No... It couldn't be you... How can you be him!?"
For the first time, Shusaku, who was always calm and composed, became so crazy that he clenched his fists and looked into Maxwell's eyes in disbelief.
"Shusaku, this is what you see, but you don't want to believe it." Maxwell put away his Dragon's Teeth and smiled faintly.
"Dragon's Teeth... It was impossible... He's retired. As a noble man, how could he stoop to stay in this sordid land, and be a kept man in a common rich family?" Shusaku trembled, and he refused to believe Maxwell's identity.
That man was a legend that terrorized overseas forces, and made countless powerful countries fear; but the man in front of him was a kept man who was humble in a less wealthy family. How could they be the same person? Shusaku couldn't believe it!
How could this possible! The fact dealt a blow to Shusaku. He came to China take revenge for Eijiro, but unexpectedly, he would meet the man he had never wanted to meet in his whole life!
"You must be a liar! I don't believe it!" Shusaku gritted his teeth and was not resigned to accept the fact.
"You don't believe it?" Maxwell suddenly looked stern, and shot him a fierce glance, which made Shusaku tremble!
"Since then, don't blame me for not giving you chance," Maxwell snapped. "Back then, you swore to me that you would never set foot in China again... But I didn't think you'd dare break your words..." Maxwell looked angry, and his strong aura enshrouded Shusaku.
The temperature of the air dropped suddenly, and Shusaku shuddered, with horror and despair in his eyes!
Maxwell's eyes were as sharp as beasts', emitting a terrible light!
Shusaku had given up struggling and looked pale. It was really him!
Shusaku had never seen Maxwell's face, but he still remembered his back and his fierce cold eyes!
It was a rainy night, Shusaku was highly hired to assassinate the top-notch figure, but on the ship, he was defeated.
The one he met that night left him a nightmare that would haunt him for the rest of his life.
In the rainy days, he could only see the eyes beneath the mask, which were cold and fierce, like the eyes of a beast.
But he narrowly escaped a disaster. After returning to Japan, he no longer participated in any task, and focused on practicing. And now, he was a great master.
He never expected that one day, when he was ready to avenge Eijiro, he would run into the terrible man again.
And, as the first swordsman in Japan, he had no power to fight back...
The man who made him feel fearful and despairing in those days still had a terrible impact on him!
This was the most powerful man who would scare anyone.
"It's you... Didn't you retire?" Shusaku mumbled.
"I'm just a son-in-law of the Sandoval family. I'm not retiring," Maxwell spoke slowly.
Shusaku laughed at himself. How could the Sandoval family make the legend willing to retire and stay in China? Shusaku would faint if he knew that the Sandoval family's daughter had turned Maxwell into a servant!
Shusaku's face was as pale as while paper, and he had completely lost hope!
Suddenly, Shusaku got down on your knees to Maxwell!!
"Sir, I didn't know it's you who killed Eijiro." Shusaku tried to beg for mercy, but his explanation didn't hold water. Maxwell looked at him faintly, his eyes cold and deep.
The first swordsman in Japan knelt down to beg for mercy. The news could definitely make a sensation in Japan!
Kneeling to Maxwell, however, was perfectly normal.
Maxwell said nothing. He just looked at Shusaku coldly.
"Chiba had nothing to do with this. It is my own fault. When I am dead, please do not hold one sword style responsible," Shusaku was shaking. Maxwell didn't say a word, which was even more stifling. "Perform the hara-kiri yourself. I'm afraid will get my hands dirty." Maxwell let out a light sound and turned around.
Shusaku raised a sad smile. He regretted that he had come to China and made troubles with the Sandoval family. Who would have thought that Maxwell was in the Sandoval family?!
Suddenly, Maxwell paused, and said coldly, "Don't die here. My wife is a neat freak. Stay away."
"Yes." There was blood on Shusaku's mouth and his eyes darkened.
No one would have thought that the first swordsman of Japan would end up like this!
In the monitoring room, Greta and others were wondering why the killer suddenly disappeared.
Leila watched each monitor carefully, but there was no sign of the killer.
"Where's he gone?" Greta asked.
"I don't know." Leila shook her head. "There are cameras in every place in the mansion, so it's impossible to have blind spots."
Even with her expertise, Leila couldn't replace the killer.
No one knew why the killer would suddenly disappear.
Greta was tensed, her heart pounding, and she looked nervous.
She feared that the killer might turn up here undetected.
It was rare to see Greta so helpless. Well, she was, after all, a weak woman.
No matter how powerful she was in the business world, she might not be able to beat a strong man in reality.
Somehow, the mysterious and powerful man suddenly appeared in her mind.
The mysterious man, always showed up at the critical moment to save her.
Where was he now? Would he show up this time to protect her?
Without even realizing it, Greta was developing a crush on that mysterious man.
It was the first time for Greta to have a crush on a man.
Every woman would like to have such a powerful man by her side.
No one wanted a man as weak as Maxwell, who would hide up instead of standing up for danger every time.
Greta even had the crazing idea that if Maxwell was as courageous as the mysterious man, she might dislike him less. Time was passing by. After a long time, footsteps sounded outside the monitoring room!
"Look out!" Leila reminded softly and lightly.
Greta looked nervous. Her beautiful eyes were staring at the door of the monitoring room, and she was trembling nervously.
The three women, huddled in the corner, stared warily at the door, listening to the approaching footsteps vigilantly.
Outside the monitoring room, a familiar figure, unkempt in clothes, looked at Greta strangely and asked, "Ms. Greta, what are you doing?"
"Oh, it's you," Greta sighed with relief. "Where is the killer?" Harriet asked.
"What killer? I didn't see anyone." Maxwell looked puzzled and scratched his head.
"Didn't you see the killer?" asked Leila.
"I looked around the mansion and saw only dead bodies." Maxwell paused, wondering, "What's going on here?"
"Where have you been?" Greta's face froze and she asked coldly.
"I... I went to the bathroom." Maxwell looked innocent. "Ms. Greta, can't I go to the bathroom?"
"You..." Greta was speechless, looking at Maxwell angrily.
"It took so long?" Leila snorted, trying to expose Maxwell.
"I suffer from constipation..." Maxwell grinned awkwardly. Leila snorted, not believing him, and spat, "Coward."
"Ms. Greta." Maxwell looked at Greta ingratiatingly, but Greta didn't show him any kindness. "Get out!" she growled. Greta and her friend left the monitoring room, leaving Maxwell there along. How pathetic he was!☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
