The Pagani Zonda, the supercar that simply refuses to fade away, is back for one final encore. Despite the Huayra stepping in as its successor in 2011, and even the recent debut of the Utopia in 2022, Pagani is now unveiling a brand-new Zonda—marking the 140th and, supposedly, the last Zonda ever to be produced. Though rebuilds of existing models may continue, this new creation is being heralded as the ultimate farewell.
Appropriately named the Zonda Arrivederci, which translates to “goodbye” in Italian, this final masterpiece will make its grand debut on August 16 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, one of the most prestigious events during the 2024 Monterey Car Week in California. U.S. car collector Kris Singh, who has revealed himself as the proud owner, has already teased its arrival on social media.
While Pagani has yet to release official photos, the U.K.’s Modena Design, known for its computer-generated renderings of supercars, shared images earlier this year of a Zonda they called the Arrivederci, which seems to align perfectly with Pagani’s description of this new model.
The Zonda Arrivederci will feature the sleek Roadster body style, with panels crafted from a unique composite material incorporating Alutex, giving it a striking silver finish. The car will also sport blue and red accent stripes, complemented by a red interior that echoes the styling of the Pagani Huayra La Monza Lisa, another prized possession of the Arrivederci’s owner.
Though Pagani hasn’t disclosed specific details about the powertrain, it’s likely the Arrivederci will be equipped with the 760-specification of the legendary 7.3-liter V-12 engine, capable of delivering an impressive 750 horsepower.
With the unveiling of the Zonda Arrivederci, Pagani closes a remarkable chapter that began with the Zonda’s debut at the 1999 Geneva Auto Show. The first Zonda, a C12, was originally used for crash testing and homologation but was lovingly restored and showcased by Pagani in 2019 to celebrate the Zonda’s 20th anniversary.
As Monterey Car Week continues through August 18, culminating in the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Pagani will also reveal the Utopia Roadster, featuring a V-12 engine paired with a 7-speed manual transmission—a fitting tribute to the brand’s legacy of craftsmanship and performance.
