Chapter 717 Welcome with Fanfare

Shortly after Ye Tian and the others left their table, the restaurant went into an uproar.

Waitresses clad in cheongsams came downstairs one after another and hurried over to Guangyue Restaurant's entrance. Even their manager and boss came downstairs and went out too. The entire restaurant was in a jittery commotion as though the king was coming.

Ye Tian asked a waiter when he noticed the commotion, "Young lady, what's going on? Why's everyone so anxious?"

"Sir, an important man is coming to the restaurant. Sorry, I have to hurry over and welcome him," replied the waitress before she turned to leave hurriedly.

Ye Tian and the others were stunned to hear her explanation.

"A big shot?" "Did they catch wind that General Lu was coming and went out to welcome him?"

"Haha!"

"That's great!"

"The Ye family can get to bask in General Lu's glory too."

"Let's go welcome him!"

Ye Tian and the others chuckled before following the restaurant waiter out.

Meanwhile, a red carpet was already laid outside the restaurant.

The restaurant staff was standing respectfully on both sides of the steps.

All the restaurant executives stood at the door and looked into the distance with flowers in their hands and looked like they were waiting for someone. Finally, a military green SUV pulled up outside the restaurant.

An old man got off the car with a young

lady.

"Hmmm? Yu-Yan, did your father prepare this?" asked Lu Tian-He in surprise when he saw the grand welcome when he got off the car.

Lu Tian-He replied politely, "You're too kind, Mr Ye. You didn't have to go to the expense of planning such a grand welcome for an old man like me. I feel so bad. I simply don't deserve it."

Ye Tian and the others smiled flatteringly before bringing Lu Tian-He into the restaurant.

But when everyone was about to walk on the red carpet and enter the establishment, an employee stopped them.

"Sorry! One moment please, no one is allowed to enter the restaurant yet," said the restaurant staff apologetically.

Ye Tian was stunned to hear this.

"Why can't we go in? Have you made a mistake? Do you know who you're talking to? I'm Ye Tian, a Dongyang County official. The waves of voices instantly echoed through the restaurant.

Amid their reverent voices, the restaurant executives hurried over with flowers in their hands.

Were they here to welcome Ye Tian?

Ye Ya and Ye Jian quickly pushed Ye Tian out while he was still in shock.

After Ye Jian convinced his uncle, Ye Tian genuinely thought those restaurant executives were here to offer him flowers.

So he beamed as he walked over with his daughter.

As Ye Tian walked over, he said high spiritedly, "You're too kind! Although I made a name for myself in Dongyang County in these recent years in politics, you can just offer a toast to show your respect. There's really no need to go through the trouble of arranging such a huge welcome! Yu-Yan, go on and take the flowers. Greet your elders while you're at it."

Ye Tian chuckled as he told his daughter to accept those flowers.

But the restaurant executives unexpectedly pushed Ye Yu-Yan aside as though they didn't see her.

"What are you doing?"

A skinny man holding the hand of a pretty girl appeared before them with a young man trailing behind them

The entire Ye family was dumbstruck.

Ye Tian's pupils constricted while Ye Ya and Ye Jian trembled hard.

Ye Yu-Yan was so shocked that her lips trembled while she remained speechless.

They didn't expect the man whom Guangyue Restaurant was welcoming with so much fanfare was Ye Fan!

It felt as though their nephew had given him a tight slap on his face.

Ye Fan was certainly deftly slapping them!

It was public embarrassment for Ye Tian!

Ye Tian and the others trembled in astonishment as they watched Ye Fan and the others bask in everyone's warm welcome and step onto the brand new red carpet and walk upstairs proudly like they were the center of the universe!

They didn't even cast an eye at them when they walked past the Ye family!
