Chapter 20- Amara

I was laughing so hard, my eyes started to water. Imagine the verysame guy ordering me earlier, sitting on the ground with booksscattered around, trying to figure out what is written in them. Helooked so hilarious. I know it's the lamest thing to laugh at but I can'tstop myself. I stopped laughing and wiped my eyes. Leo was alreadyglaring at me. Aaron and Carter were giving me “are you insane’ look. Icleared my throat and stood straight.

"What is so funny?" Leo asked seriously folding his hands on his chestbut I can see the pink tint on his cheeks. Aww I made the Alpha blush."Nothing.", I said trying to act serious but failed miserably. Keep ittogether Amy.

"Why did you guys barge in my room?" he asked.

"I have to call my brother." I said trying to keep a straight face.

"As much as I know, you don’t have any brother.” He said narrowing hiseyes.

"Then you don't know anything about me." I said annoyed.

"Just go sleep Amara and let me finish my homework.” He said irritated"Do you mean, try to figure out what is written in those books?" I joked."You are talking like you are smarter than me.” He said smirking.

"Oh I am brother." I said grinning.

"Prove it princess.” He replied. I gasped.

Leo looked confused at what he said. Crap!! Does he rememberanything or it just came out accidently?

"Go sleep.” He ordered.

"Yeah.”, so he accidently said it.

I turned around and left the room with the other two in tow. I laid onone of couch and Aaron on the other. I know Aaron wanted to talk but Iclosed my eyes. Can't let any more information leak to them. I shouldtell papa and Ryder about it or they will go searching for me like lasttime.

“Papa you there.’

“Where the hell are you? Do you know what time it is? Get home in tenminutes tops or I will be there the eleventh minute. Do you understandme? Your ass is grounded when you get back here.’ Ryder startedshouting angrily. But I can sense the worry in his voice which he failedto cover.

“Let her talk would you." papa snapped. That shut him up.

“Thanks papa.’

“Where are you?" he asked.

'I am at the shifter alphas house. They are not letting me go. We camehere because of the storm but they accidently saw the pack symbol onmy shoulder. They are taking me to some meeting place tomorrow forinterrogation. Aaron is with me as well. Should I tell them the truth?" Ireplied.

'I am so sorry princess for shouting at you. Should I come get you?"Ryder said apologetically. My sweet big brother.

It's okay Ryder and don't do anything irrational. I will be backtomorrow." I replied.

If things get out of hand tell them everything. Do you want me andyour brother to be there for safety?" Papa asked.

“Oh come on papa. They are not going to hurt me. I don't think it willbe necessary. Even if they don't remember anything, we are still afamily." I replied getting a bit emotional. I really miss them.

“As you wish princess. If you feel anything suspicious tell me so I can bethere in time. Okay?’ Those two care too much about me.

'Yup and Aaron is one of the shifter's mate. His name is Carter.’

It's a great news. So only three shifters are without mate then."

"Yeah I know right. Okay I am really sleepy. Good night.’

“Good night.’

“Good night princess.’

I curled up like a foetal and slipped into the darkness

Someone is shaking me. Uhhh I don't want to wake up. I turned on mystomach and swatted their hand. Then something cold dropped on me.I sat up with a jolt. I saw a smirking Aaron in front of me holding anempty bucket. I glared at him and stood up. He gulped and turnedaround to run but I jumped on his back, making him land face first onthe floor. I caught him in head lock and he started struggling.

"Ow let go Amy." He said trying to throw me off of him.

"Why the hell did you dump cold water on me?" I asked annoyed.

"You weren't waking up and we have to go to that stupid meeting placeor whatever it is." He said struggling.

I lifted my head and looked around. Leo and Ryan were looking at mewith their mouth hanging open, Caleb was holding Carter back. I totallyforgot that I am at their place. I got off of Aaron and stood up clearingmy throat.

"Ow you fat cow. You hit like a hulk Amy." Aaron said grumbling.

"I am not fat.” I said glaring at him.

"Tell that to my poor spine.” He said wincing.

I narrowed my eyes at him. He picked my clothes from the side tableand handed them to me.

"Get dressed.”

We got out of the house after I got dressed. We went into the woodson the other side of the houses. I am feeling like a criminal. Afterwalking for fifteen to twenty minutes, we reached a clearing were therewas a two storey house, not too big, not too small. Three more shifterswere standing outside of the house. They were talking to each other.When we reached near them, they stopped talking and turned towardsus. The moment we reached the house, someone whirled me aroundand smashed me on the wall beside the door. My back hurt really bad.The next thing I know, that certain someone is kissing me. He is soclose to me that I can't even move. He held my head in his hands andpinned me to the wall with his torso so I was unable to move. I am sogoing to kill him. I heard a really loud growl and the person kissing mewas ripped off of me. Holly shit what was that and who growled? Aaronhugged me all of a sudden. What the hell is going on? That guy pissedme off. I am going to beat the shit out of him. That guy stood up andgrowled at Aaron. How dare he?

I strode towards him. He smiled at me. I punched his nose so hard that Iheard a defining crack. He stumbled back a little. Serves him right. Helooked at me with hurt in his eyes. Uhhh what is with these people?Three girls came out of the house.

"Amy your back is bleeding. Must be a nail or something on the wall.”Aaron said.

"Come on in. Aby will patch it up.”, one of the girls said.

She dragged me inside with her.

“I am Mia, Ryan's mate." She introduced herself.

"Amara." I said still a bit angry. I think I have anger issues.

She took me to a room and said,” Wait here. I will go get Aby. She isthe only one good with injuries.”

She left the room. After sometime a girl came in. She closed the doorand sat in front of me. There were burn marks on the left side of herface and neck. She is beautiful, but the burns ruined her face.

"Hey I am Abigail. Remove your T-shirt and turn around, I will cleanyour wound." She said smiling

I did what she said.

"The nail pierced pretty deep.” She said wincing.

She patched me up and gave me a T-shirt to wear as my previous onewas stained with blood and torn.

"Everyone is waiting outside.” She said motioning towards the door.She turned around and opened the door. Mia and one other girl werealready standing outside the door. I grabbed Abigail's hand. She turnedtowards me. I put my hand on the burnt side of her face. Sheshuddered. My hand started glowing. Her face began to heal. In aminute her face was as good as new. No sign of the burns. I took myhand back. Mia started screaming. I looked towards her, she waslooking at Abigail. I shifted back a bit. The guys came running in.Everything got blurry. They all were looking at Abigail with wide eyes.Abigail started crying with her face in her hands. Did I hurt her? Someguy hugged her. I am feeling light headed. Aaron came towards me."Amy are you alright? What happened here?" he asked checking me.

I can't even get a word out of my mouth. My body feels alien. I don'twant to faint again. I slumped on Aaron. Everything started spinning.This feels worse than before.

"Amy" I heard a distant voice.

I didn't reply and closed my eyes."

Shit. Amy open your eyes." I blacked out.
