Chapter 26- Amara

Papa came out of the trees with Ryder right behind him. They wereboth growling and baring their teeth. Okay who stepped on their tails?Whoever that was will be pretty much dead by the looks of it. Everyonewas looking at them with their mouth wide open, except for Aaron andI. Asher was holding my hand pretty tight. Papa growled really loud. Idon't know what happened, but every shifter bowed their head tothem. Their mates were shaking with fear. Which sane person wouldn't,seeing two huge wolf ghosts?

"What is going on guys?" I asked them.

"Come here this instant.” papa ordered me.

I was about to move but Asher jerked me back and stood in front of meprotectively still bowing his head. I didn't knew papa is that muchpowerful. Papa and Ryder growled at his action.

"Do you mind letting go of my hand, I need to talk to them.” I said toAsher.

"They are dangerous Amy. Don't go near them. They can hurt us. Weneed to get out of here quickly.” Asher said worried. He looked scaredhimself.

"He is right Amy. We don't even know what they are. They don't seemlike normal wolves." Leo said.

Papa growled loudly at what they said. Wrong words buddy.

"Did you guys even listen to what I said earlier in the house? Why thehell would they hurt me or any of us?" I asked.

"What do you mean?” Leo questioned.

"Wow!! How stupid can you guys be?" I got in front of everyone withmy back towards papa and Ryder," Ladies and gentlemen meet myfather, alpha for you and older brother Ryder, alpha of your nextgeneration.”

Everyone were looking at me like I had completely lost my mind. Irolled my eyes at them and turned my back towards them facing Ryderand papa. Why are they so angry? I don't remember doing anything.Maybe papa is mad because I missed my training. I should apologizebefore it's too late.

"If this is about me missing my training then I have a fairly good reasonfor doing so. Please stop growling. You are scaring the hell out of me." Isaid smiling innocently. Sprinting would be a more rational reaction."We are not mad at you. That shifter tried to kill you princess and I amgoing to kill him for hurting my pup.” Papa snarled.

Papa came near me and I hugged him

"You don't have to kill him. I calmed him down. He just lost control for amoment." I reasoned.

"Doesn't matter to me. I am going to rip his head from his body." Ohno. This is turning dirty.

My eyes widened. Oh no. I looked at Mathew, his eyes were wide withfear. Abigail started crying.

"Papa please. Think about his mate and he is part of our family. Just thisonce. Please. Ryder talk to him." I pleaded. Papa looked at Ryder, daringhim to defy.

"I am not going to say anything on this matter. I am mad myself. Butkilling would be an extreme step.” Ryder said with a growl.

"I don't care. Nobody gets their hands on my pups and comes outalive.” Papa snarled.

"Papa please just this once.” I gave him my best puppy dog eyes but hehuffed at me. But this works every single time. What should I do now?"What are they talking about Amy? Why do they want to kill Mathew?"Leo asked.

"He wants to punish Mathew for hurting me." I mumbled.

"But isn't killing too much.” He stated outraged.

"I am telling him the same thing, but he won't budge.” I said irritated."With all due respect alpha, please calm down and think again.” Leosaid to papa.

"Papa you are over reacting. Please just this once.” I pleaded.

"Fine.", he looked straight towards Mathew," If you hurt my pup again, Iwon't think even once before killing you."

"Yes alpha. I wasn't thinking straight. I apologize for my behaviour.”Mathew said going on his knees.

"Okay I am forgiving you this time. Repeat your actions and theconsequences will be severe.” Papa said in a stern voice.

"Thanks papa.” I said sighing in relief.

"Why don't you guys go inside? I will be there in a moment." I toldeveryone.

They turned and went inside. Asher looked unsure about leaving mehere but went with them when I said I will come back. Ryder tackled meto ground and sat on me.

"You do understand that you are heavy right.” I joked.

"Ummhmm.” He said smirking.

Papa laughed at us.

"Mind getting off then?" I asked.

"Nope." He said.

"Papa get this fat wolf off of me please.” I said to papa.

"Do it yourself." He said smirking.

"Oh my god, you don't love me anymore." I said dramatically.

"You drama queen.” I grinned at him.

"I will get off if you promise me you will come home with us right thisinstant.” Ryder said.

"Okay. Just get off of me. You are crushing by bones. How can youweigh this much when you are a spirit?" I grumbled.

"I am not that heavy. Stop exaggerating." He said rolling his eyes but hedid get off of me.

"Whatever floats your boat brother. I have to get my phone. I will beright back.” I said getting up and walking towards the house.

I went inside the house but nobody paid attention to me. What is goingon over here? Abigail was crying and Mathew was trying to calm herdown. He also looked shaken himself though. Others had blank faces."If you guys don't want to see me anymore, it's alright I canunderstand.” I said in almost a whisper.

Nobody said a word. Not even Asher. They don't want me here I think.Well I am used to this.

"Aaron have you seen my phone?” I asked.

"Yeah. I charged it but didn't turn it on." He walked towards me andgave it to me. I smiled at him.

"Bye." I said.

"Bye. See you tomorrow at school.” He hugged me and sat besideCarter.

"Sorry about everything." I said to everyone. I don't think they heard methough

I turned around and went out of the door. Tears were threatening tospill out of my eyes but I kept them in. I thought I am used to peoplenot wanting me, leaving me, but I am not. It hurts really badly everysingle time. This is why I don't let anyone in. Even Asher didn't say aword. I thought at least he will be there for me. Will Aaron leave metoo? I think I messed up again. But I don't know what I did? At least Ihave papa and Ryder with me. They won't ever leave me, right. I walkedtowards them and climbed on Ryder's back. We went to our home. Noone will hurt me there. I should go to Esterden next weekend. I missaunt, uncle and Alec or I should call Alec here. I will call them tomorrow.After reaching home, I showered and ate dinner after cooking. Iswitched my phone on and saw several messages from Alex, Natalie,Oliver and even Elena. I have them too. I shouldn't get too used tothem. They might leave as well. Everyone does. I want to cry but Ididn't. Papa and Ryder don't like it when I cry. They get worried. Ishould just sleep. Its school tomorrow.

I put a bandage on the wounds from Mathew’s nails and sent a quicktext to the Knights and Elena saying I am fine and coming to the schooltomorrow. The wounds aren’t deep and will heal in few days. I laiddown on the bed and closed my eyes. I guess I am really tired. Maybebecause I used spirit energy on Mathew to calm him down. My body isfinally getting used to all this, I think.

“Good night papa. Good night Ryder." I said in the mind link.

“Good night princess.’

“Good night Amy.’

And I drifted to the dreamland.
