I sat on the river shore and rested my head on my front paws. Thesound of the flowing water helped to calm me down. I closed my eyeslisting to the sounds of the jungle. The birds, the wind rustling theleaves of the trees, the hooves of the deer hitting the leaves and mosson the ground, the scent of the plants and flowers...

I woke up suddenly. Oh my god! How long have I been sleeping? I ranall the way back to the woods near my house and shifted. I hastily woremy clothes on, took the keys of my bike out of my bag from the porchand drove off towards Amara’s school. I hope everything goes fine.

I reached there barely on time. The school looked almost empty. Is shealright? She looks so pale and exhausted. She is on the back of one ofthe vampires, her eyes closed. Did she faint again?

"What happened to her?" I asked.

She didn't open her eyes. Is she alright?

"Amy.", I called. Her lips slightly curved upwards.

She slid off of the vampire’s back and opened her eyes. She looked atme startled and rubbed her eyes. Then she frowned.

"I should get back home. I am beat and I am seeing things. I should gosleep.” She said to the others. Is she ignoring me? Ouch! That hurts. ButI deserve it. I will make it right one way or another.

"Amy who is that?" Elena asked her.

"Who is who?" She asked confused? Did she not see me here?

"That guy behind you." She turned around and looked at me. Her eyeswide with shock.

"What are you doing here?" She asked glaring.

I was thinking of something to say but she shook her head andblushed. What happened? Did I do something?

"We should get going. Come on guys." Aaron said to the others. Thanksbuddy.

"I came to see you. Don't be mad at me please.” I said looking at herexpression. No problem so far. Still I should proceed with caution. Wowthis feels like a military mission. Well as long as the prize is her, I will doanything.

"Didn't Leo order you not to come near me?" She snapped. How didshe know that?

"He has no rights to keep me away from you." I said moving near her. Istood right in front of her. I can hear her heart beating fast. Mine is notresting easy either. The only difference is, she can’t hear my heart goout of control.

"What do you want?" She asked weakly. She tried to move back but Ipulled her towards me.

"I am sorry. Please don't be angry with me.” I said resting my foreheadon hers and closed my eyes.

I don't want her to hate me or to leave me. She tried to move away butI held her face with my left hand and her waist with my right, pullingher flush to me. I heard her gasp.

"I missed you so much. I love you Amy." The words just tumbled out ofmy mouth.

I finally said it. I poured my whole heart in those words. I hope she feelsthe same way. That weird happy feeling is back in my stomach and Istarted kissing her. I knew she forgave me the moment she put herarms around me and started kissing me back. We pulled off after a fewseconds or was it few minutes? I don't know. I pecked her lips andsmiled at her. She forgave me that's all that matters. Heat crawled upher neck and she looked down maybe to hide her face. She looksembarrassed. I hugged her and kissed the top of her head.

"You have no idea how hard it is to stay away from you. I will alwaysstay by your side even if they kick me out of the pack.” I said.

She looked up at me. I can't wipe the smile off of my face. I can barelystop myself from grinning. I won't hurt her again.

"You don't have to leave your pack for me. If you have to choose,please choose them. I don't want to separate you from your pack.” Shesaid horrified.

"Don't worry about it, they won't kick me out. You are my mate. Theyhave no right to keep you away from me. It's against the pack rules. Leois just scared, that there is someone more dominant and powerful thanhim out there. Alphas don't usually tolerate such things. He will comearound anyways." I said. Actually they can't kick me out of the pack.They have no right to keep me away from my mate. Even if they did, Idon't care anymore. I will be out on my own accords.

"How are you so sure?” She asked.

"We know each other since diapers. I know how his mind works." I saidsmugly.

She hummed in response.

"Let's go home. I called the diner yesterday morning to tell them thatyou are not coming this week.” I think I over stepped there but I wasworried about her yesterday and I didn’t knew then if she was going tobe alright to go to her shift.

"How do you know where I work?" She asked frowning.

"Aaron told me." I said shrugging.

"Okay." Thank god she is not mad at me.

"Hop on." I said sitting on my bike and grinning.

"How are we supposed to go to my cabin on a bike?" She asked. Here'sthe hard part.

"We can't.” I said grinning widely but on the inside I am worried as hell.“We are going to my house.”

"Why? Your pack wouldn't like it." She said perplexed.

"Our pack." I corrected "They can deal with it. Come on. Let's go.”

She sat on the bike and we zoomed off. I heard her talking to her fatherin the mind link. She wound her arms around my waist.

"Slow down please. I really value my life." She shouted over the windand the sound of the bike.

I laughed but slowed down. Don't want to scare her do we now. Sherested her head on my back. I wish we will be like this forever and nomore problems will arise in our lives. I hope everything goes fine at myhouse.
