Chapter 35- Amara

He marked me without my consent. How could he? He did it again.Tricking me into believing he loves me and then forcing things on me.He sat up and smiled at me. If he thinks I will do what he wants, he is sodamn wrong

"So how is it going to be? You want me to move in here or you aregoing to move in at my house. It would be more convenient if youmove at my place. We can be near the others. If you want to live here,that's also fine. What do you say?" Asher started ranting excitedly.

"Get out.” I hissed angrily.

"What?" he asked confused.

"Get out.” I said raising my voice.

"Why? What happened?” He asked. A look of hurt crossed his eyes. Nohe is tricking you again. Don't believe him. He always does that.

"What happened? First you didn't even talk to me when the othersshunned me out when the Mathew incident happened. Then you comenext day and declare your love and take me to meet your parentswithout asking if I am ready to meet them or not. Then when they forceme to get engaged without asking if I am ready for it or not or if I wantto do it or not, you just sat there on your backside with your headdown. The irony of it is that they even declared I get engaged onSunday. Who are they to take decisions of my life? What did you do?You didn't even utter a word. I walked out of your house. But you didn'teven come to check up on me. Hell I thought you don't want me as amate. I was going to leave so you can be happy with someone of yourchoice. And now, you crossed all boundaries. You marked me. Did youask me if I am ready for all this relationship thing? You even want us tolive together. Why would I want to live with you if you never even carefor my opinion? What do you take me for?" I demanded.

He opened and closed his mouth. His face contracted in distress. Helooked like he is in a lot of pain. Did I said too much? I said really meanthings to him but it's the truth. I shouldn't be feeling bad. His eyes weldup with tears. Crap, I shouldn't have snapped at him. Why the hell am Ifeeling like this? I only wanted him to realize his mistakes. I sat in hislap, straddling him and hugged him. He buried his face in the crook ofmy neck where he marked me and circled his hands around me pullingme flush to him. He took deep breaths, maybe to stop himself fromcrying. I stroked his hair with my hand. I hope that will help.

"I am sorry." his voice came muffled. He lifted his face and lookedstraight in my eyes. He looked so broken. Oh no. I didn’t mean to dothis. Why the hell is this affecting me so much? "I wasn't thinking what Iwas doing when you said you will leave me. I don't want to lose you. SoI did what I thought will keep you from leaving me. Don't ever thinkthat I don't want you. I should have stood up for you, I know. But, I ambound by the rules. I have to follow the orders. So I try to be there foryou without breaking any of the rules and orders. If I go against themthen they will hurt you as well. The pack runs on rules. No one canbreak them. I am sorry if I came out like I don't want you as my mate.It's not true though. I was waiting for my mate for so long and youshowed up. You don't know how happy I am. I promised myself not tohurt you but I always end up hurting you. I am sorry for taking yougranted. Give me one last chance. I promise I won't mess it up. Please.”He pleaded.

"Okay" The word came out of my mouth before I can even think what Iwas saying. He hugged me really tight.

"Thank you." he said smiling at me. He looks so hot with his hairsticking in different directions and that lazy smile on his face. Uhhhhbad Amara.

"I am sorry for snapping at you. It's just..." I said awkwardly.

"It's okay. It was my fault anyway. I should have talked it out with youearlier.” He replied.

A yawn came out of my mouth. Then I remembered I am still sitting inhis lap. I slid off of his lap, blushing madly.

"Hey I liked that position. Come back.” he pouted.

I blushed even more if that was possible. He laughed at my expense."It's really late. We have school tomorrow. I am sleeping and youshould too. Good night." I said dismissing him.

I slid in the blankets and closed my eyes. He switched the lights off. Ifelt the blanket move and arms circled me.

"What are you doing?" I asked confused.

"Sleeping.”, he said burring his face in my hairs. I sighed and closed myeyes. I hope Ryder or papa doesn't replace us like this or it will be hell forAsher.

I woke up to a loud banging on the front door. I looked at the time inmy phone. Its half past two in the morning. Who the hell is banging soloud? The banging got even louder. Asher is still sleeping like a deadlog. Who will believe this guy is a shifter. I untangled myself from Asherand got off the bed. I picked up the first thing that I found, whichhilariously is a hair brush. Well something is better than nothing. Iswitched the lights on and opened the door. I took a step back indefensive position with the hair brush in my hand. I must be lookingcomical right now but I don't care. A frantic looking Ryan came intoview. His hands were covered in blood. My eyes widened. Whathappened?

"Ryan what happened?" I asked scared.

"It's Leo. He is injured badly. He is at the west border. Just come withme. He won't survive. Please.” He looked really out of it. Leo must beseriously injured.

"Calm down Ryan. He is going to be alright. Wake Asher up when youfeel better and come there. He is inside. I will go with Ryder." Ryan satdown at the door with his face in his hands.

“Ryder come to the cabin right now. It's urgent.’ I mind linked Ryder.He came in mere seconds. I climbed on his back. He dashed off. Thescene I saw was horrible. Leo was lying on the ground trying to breathe.His ribs almost crushed from both sides. Blood was oozing out of hismouth. I hope none of his ribs puncher his heart or lungs. Caleb, Carter,Mathew and Stanley were surrounding him. I hoped off Ryder's backand went towards them. I sat down beside him.

"What happened?” I asked.

Stanley explained,” I, Ryan and Leo were patrolling borders when wecame across two vampires. We told them not to hunt here but theyattacked us. Leo killed one. Ryan and I were killing the other but twomore came out of nowhere and attacked Leo. He killed one of them butthe other crushed his sides from behind. I and Ryan took him down butthe damage was already done. So Ryan went to get you as we can'ttake him to the hospital and I informed the others. I wasn't able toreach Asher though.”

"He is sleeping at my cabin. Ryan and Asher will be here any moment.Hold Leo down. Be careful of his bones." I instructed.

Carter and Caleb held his hands and shoulder without moving him. Stanand Mathew took his legs. I haven't fixed anyone's bones before. Thereis a first to everything.

Papa came out of nowhere and said, "You are not doing this. You aretoo weak for this kind of healing. You might die from this."

"Might right papa. He will die if I don't help. That's the only thing I cando to help. Let me try please.” I said desperately. I want to help as muchas I can.

I turned towards Leo and took a deep breath. I closed my eyes andfocused on my spirit energy. I blew air out of my mouth to relax myselfand opened my eyes.
