A Journey Within the Realm -
Chapter 18: Farewell, Friends
We woke up the next morning in Rin’s home. After the party, Elder Leiko teleported all of us to Rin’s house to rest. Once everyone had breakfast, we stepped outside to meet Leiko. We promised the Elder that we would say good-bye to everyone in Rin’s front yard.
“Ready, Randy? Ready, Miki?” Leiko asked.
We both nodded. Leiko nodded in return.
“Good-bye, Kuri,” I said, “Thanks for you help.”
“No problem,” Kuri replied, “I had fun.”
“Good-bye, good friend,” Miki said, “I will miss you.”
“Same here,” Kuri said.
“Good-bye, Nori,” I said, “Hope you grow up well.”
“Thanks, Randy,” Nori replied, “Mom says her thanks, too.”
“Bye, Nori,” Miki said, “Hope you have a wonderful life.”
“Same here,” Nori said.
“Good-bye, Kyoko. Good-bye, Tazu,” I said, “Now you two have tons of cute men to pick.”
“Thanks to you, Randy,” Both of them said.
“See ya, Kyoko. See ya, Tazu,” Miki said, “Sorry about the trouble I gave you two.”
“No biggy,” The two replied, “We understand. Look where you are heading.”
“Good-Bye, Miwa. Good-bye, Shina,” I said, “Good luck with your farm.”
“With Shina’s help, we will be rich,” Miwa said.
“I gave my word to Miwa that I would help her,” Shina added, “And with my mom, she will get double the help.”
“Bye, Miwa. Bye, Shina,” Miki said, “Thanks for the help.”
“Thank you for saving me,” Shina replied.
“And thank you for bringing Shina,” Miwa added.
“Good-bye, Rin,” I said, “Hope you get better with potion making.”
“I gave that stuff up,” Rin replied, “Grandmamma wants me to take over as the new Elder. I’m training for that for the next few years.”
“Bye, Rin,” Miki said, “Please, watch over the Exit Book for us.”
“Will do,” Rin said.
“We’re ready, Leiko,” I said.
“Then, read the inscription of the book, together,” Leiko said.
We nodded and opened the book the first page.
“For those who want peace and tranquility, by reading this inscription out loud, you will return to the nagical world,” We both said together.
Suddenly, Miki and I were engulfed by a white light. When our vision returned, we were standing next to the Entrance Book. I picked it up and placed it on my desk.
“I’m home,” I said to myself, “I’m really home.”
I smiled. Then, I turned towards Miki and took her hands.
“Welcome to your new home, Miki,” I said, still smiling, “Welcome to the nagical world.”
