Chapter 403

When Pearce arrived at Grand Falls and saw the castle–like mansion in front of him, he felt instantly deflated

He looked down at his slippers,

Pearce walked in.

Eleanor, while scrolling through blueprints, asked, “Where did you live?”

Pearce said, “Under a bridge, with a bunch of hobos !”

Eleanor said, “I’m sorry, Mr. Hooper, I didn’t know…”

Pearce said, “Even though you were living better than me, you lost a million dollars 1

As long as she was worse off than him, he could still replace some balance in his heart but

Pearce took the blueprints and headed out of the study.

After finishing her design work, Eleanor sat in the study waiting for Pearce’s feedback

As soon as she got up from her chair, she was scooped up and kissed by Bemard.
