After Death, Love Unveiled (Elara and Lysander) -
Unveiled 207
Chapter 207
Elara picked up her silk scarf and gently dabbed around Lysander's wound. Lysander watched her and asked, "Isn't this your favorite scarf?"
"It is," Elara replied, "but it doesn't matter. I don't mind it getting dirty."
Lysander sat beside her, gazing at her as she carefully tended to his wound. She was silent now, lost in thought.
Worried she might be upset, Lysander said, "I'll be more careful next time. I don't want you to worry."
Elara looked up at him, her eyes filled with admiration. "Honestly, I just think you were especially, especially handsome today."
Lysander raised an eyebrow, surprised. "Oh? Is that so?"
"Yes," Elara said earnestly. "You've always been by my side, so I used to think you were just like me. But today, seeing you risk yourself to save that person... Lysander, I realized you're really not the same as me." "How am I different?" he asked.
"Well," Elara said thoughtfully, "if I were in that situation, I definitely wouldn't have been as calm or as decisive as you. It just hit me all at once.
"My husband isn't some pampered kid who's had everything handed to him. You're this incredibly capable, strong, and amazing person." Seeing how serious she was, Lysander's expression softened, his gaze full of warmth. "So you suddenly replace me handsome now?"
"You've always been handsome," Elara replied.
"But I'm even more handsome now, right?" he said.
Hearing him focus on such a trivial detail at this moment, Elara couldn't help but laugh. "Yes, you're the most handsome. My husband is the most handsome man in the whole world. What did I ever do to deserve someone as incredible as you?" "No need to go overboard with the flattery," Lysander said with a slight chuckle.
"I mean it. You were amazing out there." Elara insisted. She looked at his strong, resolute face, noticing he'd gotten a bit more tanned recently. Somehow, it only made him even more attractive.

When they returned to their residence, Magnus had already called a doctor over.
Crispin arrived shortly after. Seeing that Lysander's wound had been treated, Crispin asked, "Lysander, you got hurt?"
"Just a minor injury," Lysander replied. "Is everything taken care of?"
"Yes," Crispin said. "The person was taken to the hospital, and their family has been notified. Initial assessments suggest the driver was overly fatigued, which led to the accident. But..." Crispin paused. "It's a good thing you all are safe. In a situation like that, if Magnus hadn't reacted quickly, and if you'd collided with that car, none of you would've made it out alive." Magnus nodded, his expression still tense. "Yeah, it was terrifying. Thinking back on it now still gives me chills."

Lysander said calmly, "As long as everyone's okay, that's what matters."
Crispin glanced at the clock. "We had a dinner reservation, but it's so late now. Are you still planning to go out? If not, I can order something to be delivered."
Lysander turned to Elara for her opinion.
"Let's just have food delivered," Elara said. "Everyone's tired tonight."
Crispin nodded. "Got it." He arranged for the food to be sent over. The group sat around the dining table, eating together.
Elara, seated next to Lysander, picked up her fork and said, "Here, let me feed you."
Lysander looked at her, puzzled. "Why?"
She speared a piece of food and brought it to him. "You're injured, aren't you? I'm taking care of you."
Crispin, sitting across from them, watched the exchange and said, "Elara, Lysander's injury isn't that serious. It's just a scratch. Men get hurt all the time. This is nothing. Maybe consider how Magnus and I feel, though. Right, Magnus?" Magnus stammered, "I... I don't know." He didn't dare comment on anything involving Lysander.
Lysander turned his gaze to Crispin. "And how do you know my injury isn't serious?"
"Well, you don't seem that bad off today," Crispin said.
When Lysander's eyes fixed on him, Crispin suddenly clammed up. "Uh, Lysander, my mistake. Clearly, your injury is very serious. Elara, thank you for taking such good care of him."
Elara simply smiled, continuing to feed Lysander without a word. "Here, try this," Elara said to Lysander. As she ate, whenever she found something tasty, she'd share it with Lysander.
Sitting nearby, Crispin sighed deeply, feeling like a giant third wheel. It was just as he'd expected.
Even after all this time, he still couldn't get used to Lysander's dual personalities, so different when he was with Elara versus anyone else.
"How are things going with your family?" Lysander asked Crispin.
"My dad's health hasn't been great, so I'll need to head back and take over some family responsibilities," Crispin replied. "I won't be able to come to Juan as often anymore, but I'll make sure someone takes good care of her. Don't worry." "You've taken care of Juan for so long. Thanks," Elara said sincerely. She knew Crispin did all this for Lysander, but he truly went above and beyond.
"It's nothing, really. You're too kind, Elara," Crispin said. "It's my honor to lighten Lysander's load."
After dinner, Elara and Lysander took a shower and went to bed. This house belonged to Lysander, and as Elara sat on the bed messaging someone on her phone, Lysander slid his arm around her and leaned in for a kiss. Elara looked at him, amused. "Aren't you injured? I just had to feed you at dinner."
"Oh, that," Lysander said nonchalantly. "Just a little scratch... I was faking it."
"Wait? What? How could he admit that so shamelessly?' Elara wondered. Elara stared at him, speechless.
Noticing her reaction, Lysander gazed into her eyes. "Who are you texting?"
"Work stuff," she replied. "I have a meeting tomorrow."

Chapter 207
"I know," Lysander said, "Don't worry, I'll behave... in a bit."
Before she could respond, Lysander leaned in and kissed her again. Her phone was tossed aside. Elara didn't even bother protesting. She'd long since given up when it came to him.
The next day, Elara went to her company. By the time she arrived, Adam was already there and had sent his secretary to escort her upstairs.
As Elara entered the building, she noticed Adam talking to his business partner, Billy Walker, who was now the owner of Windmill Video.
The short-video market was fiercely competitive, with companies scrambling to claim their share.
Asher's QuickClip was performing exceptionally well, dominating the space. Other companies were pushing hard to catch
1. up.
But Elara was well aware of one key fact Billy would ultimately emerge as the winner in this field, just as he had in her time travel.
"Elara," Adam called out when he spotted her. Elara walked over to them and followed them inside.
Typically, she didn't participate in their meetings, so being called in today came as a surprise.
Once they reached the conference room, Adam turned to Elara and said, "Elara, the main reason we asked you here today is that we wanted to clarify something with you." "What is it?" Elara asked.
"I heard that your father has invested in Asher's company. Is that true?" he asked.
Elara didn't deny it. "Yes, he has."
Adam looked at her thoughtfully. "I was just wondering... Asher's company is doing so well right now. Elara, you're still genuinely interested in working with us, aren't you?"
Elara smiled and replied, "Mr. Hassiron, my father is free to invest in whichever company he chooses. After all, didn't he also invest in your company back then? Without him, Mandinion Technology wouldn't have grown as smoothly as it did."
Adam quickly clarified. "I didn't mean anything by it. I just thought I'd ask."
