As soon as Daphne heard Natalie mention her clothes, she immediately realized what was happening. Natalie was the young lady, from the family where Daphne's mother worked as a servisi.

After Daphine came to Starfield City for school, her mother, worried about her, followed her and found a job as a servant in Starfield City. The family was quite wealthy, and the young lady had many dresses she never wore.

To attend this event, Daphne borrowed one of those dresses. With so many clothes in the wardrobe, Daphne thought no one would notice if one went missing. But now, she hadn't expected to be caught red-handed by Natalie. "Natalie, do you

know her?" Elara was equally surprised to discover that Natalie and Daphine were acquainted.

"Know her? That's an understatement, Natalie replied, her frustration evident. "I'm about to lose it. Her mother is the servant my family hired just two months ago.

"A couple of days ago, I asked her where my dress had gone, and she said it was sent out for cleaning. It's still not back. Who would have thought it would end up on her daughter?

"No wonder you mentioned seeing someone in the same dress as me. It turns out she was stealing my clothes."

Elara had found it odd that Daphne's family was not well-off enough to afford such clothes. Daphne could pretend to be Lysander's girlfriend, but Elara wondered where the dress came from. Surely. Lysander hadn't bought it for her. Now, it seemed the answer was right in front of them

Natalie was furious that her designer dress had been worn by the daughter of a servant. And Natalie didn't know how many times Daphne had stolen it before. It was extremely infuriating.

Natalie glared at Daphne and said, "Your mother seems like a nice person, but it turns out you both are thieves."

"I didn't know this dress was yours," Daphne replied.

"What did you say?" Natalie was taken aback for a moment, then retorted. Just because you didn't know, you Wear it?"

think you can

Daphne insisted. "My mom said the dress was borrowed with permission from the owner. I had no idea about this." "When did I agree to that? Your mom is pretty shameless. Even if it's my dress that I'm not wearing, it's still mine. She can't just take it without my consent. Taking something without permission is stealing. I will report this to the police," she roared.

"Miss Jarvis," Jacqueline timidly spoke up.

Natalie glanced at her. "What's wrong?"

Jacqueline asked incredulously, "Are you saying Daphne is the daughter of your family's servant?"

"What's wrong with that?" Natalie sneered. She hated when people touched her belongings

"I heard her daughter is studying at Queensun University, which is why she was given a chance when hiring. I didn't expect such poor character from her. It's truly embarrassing." Natalie's rage was obvious. Jacqueline turned to Daphne and said, "Daphne, you..."

Daphne remained composed, showing no signs of panic. "I genuinely didn't know about this. If I had, I would never have let my mom do this. It's just a dress. I'm not that vain."

When Elara heard her claim of not being vain, she couldn't help but laugh. 'Not vain, yet stealing someone else's clothes?'

she wondered.

Daphne had always been like that, shifting blame with ease. Yet now, she was pushing the responsibility onto her mother,

Seeing Daphne's calm demeanor, Jacqueline couldn't help but feel a bit of respect for her. Even though Daphine's mother was just a servant, it didn't stop Lysander from liking her. Despite her humble background, Daphine held her head high. This must be why Lysander was attracted to her.

Jacqueline turned to Natalie and said, "Miss Jarvis, it's just a dress You shouldn't hold it against her."

"Not hold it against her?" Natalie scoffed. "You think you have enough clout to tell me that? Your family's servant flaunted my dress outside, and you think I shouldn't mind?"

Jacqueline replied. "I have no clout. I just know that Daphne is stirely unaware. She's Lysander's girlfriend now. If she wanted anything, surely Lysander could provide it. But she didn't ask for anything, which shows she's not vain." "What did you say?" Natalie looked at Jacqueline in disbelief. "Lysander?"

Yeah, Jacqueline nodded. "She's Lysander's girlfriend. Didn't you know?"

Upon hearing Lysander's name, Natalie turned to Elara. "How is the connected to Lysander?"

"That's something you should ask her, Elara said, gazing at Daphine. "Aren't you going to tell the truth now? You've been posing as Lysander's girlfriend. You know your background very well. My cousin has caught you. Are you sure you want to keep pretending?" Daphne lifted her head and faced Elara. "I've never concealed my background, nor have I claimed to be some noble young lady. But what I have with Lysander, you all saw it last time. I didn't lie.

"You can't deny my relationship with Lysander just because I'm the daughter of a servant Miss Jarvis, if you want to report me, I don't care. My mom said the Jarvis family treats us well. After all, they're her employers, and I don't want to make things too awkward." Hearing this, Jacqueline turned to Natalie. "Miss Jarvis, look. Daphne is genuinely a good person. She's thinking of you too. I know your dad is close to Felicity, but even Felicity wouldn't dare offend Lysander, right?"

Natalie frowned. It was true that her father was close to Felicity. But there was no way Felicity would risk offending Lysander for their family. So, if Daphne really was connected to Lysander, she indeed didn't dare provoke him.

Yet, Daphne spoke with such conviction, and Jacqueline was thoroughly convinced. With Daphne stirring things up, Natalie was livid. Just then, Elara's phone rang, and she answered, "Hello"

On the other end, she heard Lysander's voice. "Hello, Elara."

Caught off guard by the call, Elara turned to Natalie and said, "Natalie, I'll step out for a moment. The banquet hall was crowded, and Elara stepped outside to take the call. She never expected Lysander to call her. Reaching the entrance, Elara said into the phone, "I was just inside, and it was quite packed. I'm outside now."

"Where are you? I'll come to pick you up," Lysander said.

It had been a while since Elara heard Lysander's voice, which sounded steady and calm. For some reason, Elara felt that, even without seeing him yet, she could sense that those photos of Daphne were all fabricated. She gave Lysander the address, I'm waiting for you downstairs at the hotel."

"Okay." Lysander nodded.

As soon as Elara hung up the phone, Natalie stormed out, visibly hipser, "What's going on with Lysander? No wonder t says not to get involved with him. I even defended you before! Think he's just a jerk. Stay away from him" Elara interjected. "There's a
