Chapter 766

He unbuttoned his coat, and the open jacket seemed to let out some ofthe breath from his chest. Sylvia still hadn't come out, and he wasgetting impatient. Just then, Sylvia opened the door, but before Franklincould say anything, she turned back inside.

Franklin: ".."

He felt sour. Why did these women always like to occupy his wife's timeand energy? He was very unhappy about it and felt ignored.

Winter was so bad to her core. What else did Sylvia have to say to her?Did they have to talk for so long?

Franklin became increasingly restless. He tore off the button on hisslender neck, and his restrained cold breath suddenly became wild.

He looked invincibly handsome.

Meanwhile, in the cabin...

Winter knelt down in front of Sylvia with her big belly protrudingforward. But Sylvia stopped her: "I don't need a pregnant womankneeling before me. Get up!"

"Don't try playing innocent with me," Sylvia sneered as she pushedWinter back onto the bed again.

Winter's tears kept flowing out uncontrollably. "Sylvia, please save me! Ipromise I won't do anything that will harm you. I'm really at my wit's endnow; only you can help me."

"My child is about to be born; I don't want to die or go to jail."

Sylvia silently stared at her for a moment before saying: "I don't likedoing business at a loss." Winter had better show some real actioninstead of just talking.

"Don't worry," Winter quickly reached out her hand while speakingearnestly. "I won't let you down. If I betray you, I hope to die!"

"You don't need to say that. Actions speak louder than words," repliedSylvia as she glanced outside through the windowpane.

Outside by now Franklin had almost lost patience waiting outside theirdoor. Winter could talk anyone into believing anything with that silvertongue of hers, having swindled many wealthy women's moneybefore... and now...

After waiting for a few more minutes, the door opened once again.Sylvia emerged, holding a folder in her hand. She glanced at Jasper, her expression unreadable. "Jasper, I need you to do something.”"Miss Andrews, just give the order.”

An hour later, they presented the plan for developing this area into ahot spring resort to the village chief. They also discussed the detailedcompensation arrangements.

Once everything was done, they left with Winter.

As their car exited the remote village, it smoothly cruised along thehighway. Jasper drove, contemplating the task Sylvia had assigned tohim.

It was to take Winter away with them.

They had come this time with some of their associates, and Winter wasin the car behind them.

Jasper couldn't quite wrap his head around it. Saving Winter by chancewas one thing, but now they were taking her away?

"Miss Andrews..." he hesitated before speaking, but Sylvia interruptedhim as soon as he opened his mouth. “This is Clark's evidence of guilt. All evidence of how Wilson Entertainment Foundation illegally collectedmoney and some embezzlement cases from Wilson Entertainment'sfinances are all here."

"Winter brought it out?" Jasper was surprised.

Franklin also didn't expect that Winter would bring out Clark's evidenceof guilt. "She agreed to give it?"

"A mother will do anything for her child,” Sylvia smiled slyly, "so... she isjust trying to survive difficult times like everyone else; she wants to live,I want the evidence - we both get what we want.”

"How do you plan on arranging her?" Franklin's voice lacked emotionbut was magnetic like a cello that people couldn't resist.

Sylvia looked up at his familiar face bathed in the morning glow ofsunset, elegant and noble with lips slightly pursed.

"I think there is a place where she might like," Sylvia said while holdingup her phone showing Isabelle’s message thread.

"Middle Evroya?" Franklin frowned.

"Mm-hmm."

Sylvia nodded, "Her due date is in half a month; Isabelle is also amother who can teach her something about childbirth if needed. IfWinter turns over a new leaf and reforms herself then it will be better foreveryone involved; if not, then don't blame me for being impolite bymaking her disappear from this world."

"As for her son, raise him well since he's still young."

“You should ask Isabelle to keep an eye on her," Franklin noddedapprovingly at Sylvia's arrangement.

Winter was cunning and untrustworthy, so if she didn't cause anytrouble, then maybe she could be spared.

If she dares, then don't blame him for eliminating her without hesitationto prevent future trouble!

He absolutely wouldn't let his wife get her hands dirty. If someone hadto, it would be him!

In a relatively remote plastic surgery clinic in Urgford, the doctorcarefully removed the bandages that had been wrapped around theman's face on the operating table. "Sir, we've followed your requestsand the results look quite good."

The man slowly sat up, taking the mirror handed to him by the doctor. He scrutinized the handsome face in the reflection. Though there werecertain artificial marks, it was difficult to tell what his originalappearance had been.

His eyes were slimmer, his nose more prominent, and his lips thin andsharp.

He had the quintessential face of an internet sensation after plasticsurgery.

But he didn't mind.

He nodded. "It's very good."

The doctor nodded in return. “I'm glad you're satisfied, sir. If you haveany further needs in the future, please feel free to come to me."

“I'm sorry... you might not have the opportunity,” the man said coldly, emanating a chilling aura.

Before the doctor could react, a dagger pierced his throat.

His eyes widened in shock, blood spewing from his neck. He franticallyclutched his wound, attempting to escape.

However, the man extended his leg, kicking him to the ground.

"Do you think I'd let you leave?" The man resembled a demon, radiating a thick aura of death. "So, anyone who knows my secrets hasto die!"

When night fell, the car slowly returned to the Urgford MI6 compound.Sylvia had rested on the journey, leaning against Franklin.

His embrace was warm and reassuring, making her feel comfortable. When the car came to a stop, she blinked her eyes open and heardFranklin's voice. "Let's grab something to eat first, and then we can visitWright at the hospital tomorrow.”

Sylvia nodded. "That sounds good."

They exited the car together, and Vaughn was already waiting for them."Miss Andrews, Master Franklin, dinner is ready in the dining room."Isla walked over at that moment, and when she saw Sylvia, sheimmediately wore a charming smile. "Miss Andrews, you must bestarving after your long journey, aren't you?"

She approached while speaking, but due to Franklin's imposingpresence, she didn't dare to reach out and clasp Sylvia's arm, so sheheld back.

"The security in Urgford has become quite dreadful lately. I'm starting tosuspect if someone is deliberately trying to harm Mr. Wright."

Isla whispered to Sylvia, "Today, in a very remote plastic surgery clinic, there was a murder. The plastic surgeon was killed by having his throatslit." Isla saw that Sylvia was successfully captivated and underpressure, she continued to report the details. "The police have gone butthere is no evidence at the scene and the suspect has not left anyclues. They say it could be someone taking revenge on society orsomething like that.”

"Recently these things seem quite strange. His colleagues told thepolice that this doctor was usually friendly and got along well withpeople; he didn't offend anyone or anything like that. I don't know whowould want to kill him," Isla added.

“This case may not be solved anytime soon," she concluded.

Sylvia listened silently to Isla's words but felt something wasn't quiteright.

"A plastic surgeon..." she muttered.

"Cody is still in hospital so this case might end up being handled solelyby the police department,” Franklin said in a low voice beforesuggesting they go eat dinner as they had arrived at the restaurantalready.

As soon as they entered, Sylvia froze for a moment and lookedsurprised at everyone present. MI6 was like one big family with manymembers who usually ate separately from each other. Today however, everyone had gathered together waiting for their return.

They all stood up neatly when they saw them come back togetherwhich clearly meant they were waiting for them to eat together.

"Master Franklin!"

"Miss Andrews!"

Franklin did not seem surprised though and gestured for everyone to sitdown before thanking them all saying how busy MI6 had been latelyfollowed by some kind words about Christmas coming up soon wherehe promised he wouldn't let his brothers down.

After speaking some more words of encouragement, everyone beganeating their meal.

The next morning, upon waking up, she furrowed her brow, perhapsdue to the high humidity in that village. She sniffled and realized, to hersurprise, that she had caught a cold.

She rarely fell ill or caught a cold. It was probably due to Love Parasitein her body. Besides causing her to become emotional more often, italso had the side effect of keeping her in excellent health. In fact, herhealth had improved significantly in recent years.

This sudden cold left her somewhat astonished.

"Why are you just sitting there in a daze?" Franklin emerged from thebathroom, looking at her in confusion.

Sylvia turned her gaze to him, replaceing him in a black bathrobe, chestpartially exposed, revealing a well-defined torso. She raised aneyebrow, wondering why he was looking so tempting this early in themorning.

“I think I caught a cold," she said.

"Want me to grab some medicine later?" Franklin walked over andplaced his hand on her forehead. "Doesn't seem like you have a fever.""Maybe I caught a chill yesterday in the village,” Sylvia sighed. "I'll gofreshen up first. Then we can head to the hospital.”
