Chapter 772

Would her reputation be destroyed.

She didn't want it, she really didn't.

She was going to become a top pianist. She couldn't be MasterKeturah's student, but Mrs. Ritter had contacted Mr. Guzman, a famousmusic professor at Berklee School of Music abroad, and asked him totake her as his apprentice.

Internationally speaking, the top pianists were Louis first and thenMaster Keturah and Mr. Guzman.

Mr. Guzman was just as famous as Master Keturah but the latter wasmore than ten years younger.

Mr. Guzman was also very picky about taking on apprentices and didnot easily accept them.

It took Mrs. Ritter a lot of money and connections to convince Mr.Guzman to accept her as his apprentice.

All she had to do now was win the Graley Piano Competition so that Mr.Guzman would announce that he would take her on as an apprenticeand send out another press release...

Then she would definitely have a place in the international piano world.“If that old lady could come forward and testify that you didn't bully orhumiliate her, there might still be some hope for this situation,”Donovan said irritably. "You're really causing me trouble with this. What's the point of messing around with an old lady? You've turned itinto such a mess."

"But... where can we replace that old lady?" Ashlyn pouted in frustration. She'd had enough of this nonsense. As the daughter of the Ritterfamily, she couldn't even argue with an old woman like this?

People like that weren't even worth talking to.

“I saw on Twitter earlier that there wasn't actually any footage of the oldlady's face? It seemed like it had been blurred out?" Mrs. Ritterfrowned. "I'll look into it again.”

Sure enough, the video showed only blurred images where the oldwoman's face should have been, but Ashlyn's face was crystal clear.Mrs. Ritter got angrier every time she watched it.

“I never thought Cody would go so far. He even managed to dig upfootage like this."

Suddenly, Ashlyn remembered what Franklin had said earlier. "Canthey not dig up anything? That mall belongs to Maskelyne Group.""Forget about it. Since they dared attack you, don't blame me for beingimpolite,” Donovan slammed his hand down on table angrily.

"Do they think my family is easy prey? They're ruining my daughter'sreputation. Those bumpkins from small places like Larro dare challengemy family?"

“Donovan, do you have any good ideas?" Mrs. Ritter quickly turned toher husband. "Our daughter is being criticized all over the internet. Weneed to come up with a good whitewashing method and marketingplan, especially now that the Graley Piano Competition is about to start. We can't make any mistakes, our daughter has to win first place thisyear."

The Graley Piano Competition was unlike any other small competition. It was not only the largest music competition internationally but alsocovered all music awards, whether it be piano, violin, songwriting oreven singing and popular music and folk... all kinds of things related tomusic were selected.

The Graley Piano Competition was held every two years for a weekwith various competitions held in different venues.

Audiences who came to watch the competition were mostly musiclovers or musicians from around the world.

The final award ceremony was always packed every time it was held.If Ashlyn could win first place in the piano competition project at suchan internationally significant event like this one then she would becomefamous worldwide.

Mrs. Ritter couldn't let anyone ruin Ashlyn's career.

Now public opinion in the country regarding Ashlyn’s popularity andreputation among ordinary people was extremely unfavorable.

She trembled with anger.

"Cody, Franklin, Sylvia! They're just too much.”

"Honey, don't worry yet. Let me think of something,” Donovan said witha gloomy face. "Isn't it just an old lady? The old lady whose face hasbeen blurred out; ha-ha, that old lady doesn't even know thempersonally, so why don't we do this..."

He whispered something into Mrs. Ritter's ear.

Mrs. Ritter couldn't help but nod her head repeatedly saying, "not bad",before finally agreeing on what they would do next day morning..Cody's condition had improved enough for him to be discharged fromhospital after Brayden completed his discharge procedures. SomeUrgford bigwigs heard he was going home so they rushed over askingabout his health status .

This made the Wright family feel grateful but they refused all giftsbecause these gifts were too expensive.

Mrs. Wright didn't want people talking behind their backs about Cody. After leaving hospital, the car drove smoothly towards governmentoffices without incident.

The President had allocated them a set of houses in the courtyard, small Western-style buildings with two floors. The houses were mostlyidentical, although they were slightly larger than the one they had inLarro. Everything was much better equipped here in Urgford.

The small building was clean and tidy, with a living room and kitchen onthe first floor and a master bedroom. The second floor had threebedrooms and a study.

All the houses in the courtyard were decorated uniformly, from furnitureto style. There was hardly any difference except for some smaller onestucked away in corners.

Brayden and Jenna lived upstairs while Mrs. Wright and Cody liveddownstairs. After unpacking their luggage separately, Mrs. Wright wentto prepare some food in the kitchen.

She opened up what she thought would be an empty fridge only to replaceit full of fresh vegetables and meat! She was surprised when she heardsomeone pushing open the door at that moment.

Mrs. Wright walked towards the living room where she saw a middle-aged woman carrying daily necessities into their house. "Mrs. Wright, you're back.” The middle-aged woman smiled sweetly, “I'm Lexie, yourhousekeeper; every household has one here."

"I see." Mrs. Wright quickly laughed as she realized that Lexie musthave prepared all these ingredients for them. Urgford's courtyard isdifferent; even housekeepers are provided by none other than ourPresident himself!

"That's great!" "What would you like for lunch today?" asked Lexie asshe entered into their kitchen wearing an apron around her waist.

Mrs. Wright replied,"Anything will do; we aren't picky eaters. There arefour people living here now, so let's just treat each other like family.”Feeling happy inside, Mrs. Wright went upstairs.

Brayden was helping Jenna tidy up her room. "Jenna, I've hung all yourclothes neatly inside your closet."

“Thank you!" Jenna smiled sweetly. She loved how this new roomwasn't just pink everywhere like it used to be back at Larro.

Mrs. Wright made sure everything matched her favorite color which ispink.

Nowadays, the walls are white, and furniture is beige. It looksrefreshing. The best part about this new place is having its ownbathroom!

She walked towards the bathroom with a smile on her face, butsomehow, whether it was because of her carelessness or somethingelse, as soon as she opened the bathroom door, she slipped and fell tothe ground.

"Ah!"

She screamed and a long arm caught her waist. The next second, herbody spun violently and she was brought into a broad embrace.

Her nose hit his hard chest with a bang. It hurt so much that even thetip of her nose turned red. "Ouch!"

"What happened? Jenna? What's going on?" Mrs. Wright had justarrived at the door when she heard her goddaughter's scream frominside. She quickly pushed open the door and saw... her son embracingher goddaughter.

She was startled and embarrassed at once by this scene in front of her.Unexpectedly, Mrs. Wright suddenly barged in; Brayden quickly let gowhile Jenna blushed slightly. She glanced quickly at his handsome faceclose by before looking back at Mrs. Wright sheepishly: "Godmother, Ialmost fell down accidentally.”

"Oh my goodness! I understand! I understand!" Mrs. Wright laughedheartily with an air of satisfaction: "It's okay; you young people are likethis.”

This laughter is too infectious.

"Mom, it's not what you think," Brayden explained hastily.

“You're such an irresponsible man! You've already hugged each other;what else could there be?" Mrs. Wright glared at him before saying:"Jenna can be with you because it's your good fortune from your pastlife."

"Hurry up and tidy up your room for dinner!"

Mrs. Wright finished speaking then turned around to leave.

Jenna stood there stunned for quite some time before muttering softly:"Brayden... what should we do? Godmother seems to havemisunderstood.”

"Who said she misunderstood?"

Brayden looked at the girl who had such an adorable expression like acute little orange cat.

He suddenly reached out again to hold her in his arms tightly whilelocking onto those deep eyes that were fixed on Jenna's small face.Jenna blushed bright red as if hot air kept surging upwards withinherself causing heart palpitations.

"Jenna, we..." Brayden hadn't finished speaking yet when his phonesuddenly rang.

He picked up Jasper's call. "Hello."

"Master Brayden, you need to take a look at Twitter right away. TheRitter family is nothing but clowns.” Jasper's voice came over urgently.Brayden felt frustrated, as he had been planning to confess hisfeelings, but then he heard something related to the Ritter family. Hedidn't care about anything else and hung up the phone before going onTwitter.

"What's wrong?" Jenna craned her neck to look at his phone.

She saw a video of an unfamiliar old lady speaking into the camera. She was the same old lady who had clashed with Ashlyn in thesupermarket that day, and everything was just a misunderstanding.Ashlyn hadn't insulted or bullied her in any way. In short, Ashlyn was agood girl and it was all just a misunderstanding.

There were many comments under this video online, almost all sayingthat Ashlyn is a good girl. Anyone with discerning eyes could see thatthey were fake comments made by paid trolls - it was too obvious!
