After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities -
Chapter 783
Chapter 783
Jenna also took a few deep breaths and followed Brayden to the door.
"Open the door! Police!"
There was a clanging sound outside the door.
Police?
Brayden frowned, but still opened the door to the room.
Outside the door stood about four or five men, each wearing a police uniform and looking fierce and menacing.
The leading police officer had a serious and cold expression on his face as he said, "We received a report that there were illegal sexual activities taking place in this room between men and women."
"What? Illegal relationship between a man and a woman?" Brayden couldn't help but laugh. "Officer, are you mistaken? This is my girlfriend."
"Girlfriend? Who knows what you're doing behind closed doors?" The police's eyes showed a hint of disdain. "We checked the hotel's check-in records and you didn't register at all."
"I accompanied her to participate in the Graley Piano Competition. I am her boyfriend and fiance. Please investigate thoroughly before accusing me," Brayden replied calmly, with a furrowed brow.
In the middle of the night, a few police officers came out and specifically searched his room, which felt very eerie.
"You got it wrong, he really is my boyfriend," Jenna said with courage. "I have a team leader, she's in room 607. I'll go get her now."
She referred to Mrs. Ritter.
This time, all the contestants from H Rovirsa who came to participate in the Graley Piano Competition were led by Mrs. Ritter.
"I can see that your relationship is highly inappropriate. This is a place where monetary transactions for sexual activities are strictly prohibited," the police officer's face showed impatience, "Take them away!" Several henchmen behind him immediately rushed towards Brayden. Just as they were about to reveal their handcuffs, the elevator door nearby suddenly "dinged" and several reporters poured out from inside The flash was so bright that Brayden could hardly keep his eyes open.
Jenna shouted anxiously, "What are you doing? Who asks you to shoot us?"
Suddenly she stood in front of Brayden and shouted, "No pictures allowed, no pictures!"
At this moment, Brayden was only wearing a bathrobe, with the collar slightly open, revealing his strong chest muscles that were both tantalizing and alluring.
His hair was messy and still damp, indicating that he had just taken a shower not long ago.
He couldn't be a coward and let his woman hide behind him. So, he stepped forward and shielded Jenna from the cameras, his face cold as ice.
"Master Brayden, we heard you were soliciting prostitutes here?"
"Master Brayden, who is this young lady beside you?"
"Master Brayden, did you unleash your true nature after leaving the country? Don't you feel ashamed in front of your father?"
The reporters fired off questions like machine guns without giving Brayden any time to react. He was shaking with anger.
These people were definitely intentional and premeditated. His face turned pale as he tightly held onto Jenna's hand.
"Look carefully! This is my fiancee. Don't you know her? She has been on hot searches before! Are you really not familiar with her?"
The reporters seemed to ignore what he said and continued to ask questions like "Is this young lady next to you someone that was paid for by money?", deliberately trying to humiliate them both.
Jenna's face turned red with anger. Wasn't this just outright calling her a prostitute? They were humiliating both her and Brayden in public.
She had never been so angry in her life before. She had always been honest at the Wright Villa without ever coveting anything from them. She even saved up some pocket money herself planning on buying a house someday!
"Don't slander us! Who sent you here to ruin our reputation?" Jenna's eyes burned with fury as she threatened legal action against them for defamation of character.
Even if she was stupid, she knew why there wasn't any room available earlier; it was because they were waiting here all along! They fell into someone else's trap step by step - first saying there weren't any rooms available and then having so many people come out causing trouble later on.
All these media outlets are domestic ones; none of them were foreign which meant they must have planned everything beforehand since the Graley Piano Competition was such a big event that domestic media would definitely follow up on it too - leaking information about Jenna and Brayden would attract more attention!
It seemed like everything just fell into place perfectly...
And these media outlets were clearly being manipulated, pretending not to know her even though they clearly did.
She thought of this, and Brayden naturally thought of the same thing.
The man struggled fiercely with a stern expression. "I advise you to let me go! I didn't do anything that goes against social order. Why are you detaining me?"
But the police remained cold and unyielding. "Take him away!"
"Who dares take him away!"
Just then, a strong but magnetic voice suddenly rang out.
Everyone couldn't help but turn around and see a tall and handsome man standing behind the crowd, his face covered in frost.
Beside him was an equally cold-looking woman wearing only simple beige home clothes, but it did not detract from her beauty.
The two had an extremely harmonious aura that seemed inexplicable yet perfect together.
This sudden appearance of such an outstanding couple made the police squint their eyes involuntarily.
"Our evidence is conclusive; we must take him away."
"Where's your arrest warrant?" Franklin's eyes turned icy as he curled his lips in mockery. "Where's your badge? Did you catch them in bed doing something illegal?"
Hearing Franklin's words, the police officer showed some discomfort on his face but still stubbornly insisted on his position.
"He dressed so provocatively; he must have been doing something indecent with this young lady."
"So do your policemen here just need to verbally slander someone to make an arrest?" Sylvia raised her eyebrows without any politeness in her voice. "If you can't produce proper documentation for arresting someone, I suggest you leave now!"
This police officer was usually just a captain at the station responsible for this hotel area.
Although he wasn't at a high position like bureau chief or anything like that, people usually treated him politely enough since there weren't many who dared confront him head-on like this.
He suddenly felt furious especially since there were so many media outlets present as well.
He had indeed taken money from someone else to deal with Brayden but being confronted by so many people now could he really keep calm?
He waved his hand furiously, "You dare tell me to leave? I'll make sure YOU leave first! Get them!"
At once those few policemen who controlled Brayden rushed forward trying to capture Franklin and Sylvia.
However, before she could even touch the man's clothes, he kicked her with his long and powerful legs!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three consecutive kicks!
Three police officers were knocked down by Franklin.
His strength was immense, and the three police officers cried out in pain.
Sylvia was no less fierce. With a handsome shoulder throw, she directly knocked down the police officer who had charged at her.
The fall was brutal!
The domestic media watching were shocked!
Several of them were already backing off. It wasn't easy to make money risking their lives reporting on this kind of thing.
After dealing with these police officers, Franklin looked coldly at the group of fearful policemen. "If I replace out that you embellished the events today and reported it to the public, I will immediately blacklist you!" A timid reporter holding a camera trembled as he looked at Franklin possessed by a killing spirit. He couldn't help but cry out in despair: "It's too late... Mr. Maskelyne... I've already sent it out!" "Huh?" Franklin glanced at his work badge hanging around his neck and ordered Jasper who had just walked out of the room. "From now on, I don't want to see them again."
"Don't... please don't do this, Mr. Maskelyne! Please! I took their money for this story; it has nothing to do with our boss. If our newspaper goes under because of this story my boss will kill me..." The reporter knelt down in fear begging for mercy from Franklin.
"It's too late!" Jasper picked him up and threw him aside so as not to get in their way while they contacted MI6 back home.
Some reporters from other media outlets had sent theirs out quickly deleting them from their own Twitter accounts or short videos online while others felt lucky they hadn't been quick enough yet still alive after seeing how fast social media spreads news nowadays...
The first tweet posted by Morning Newspaper had gone viral:
#Master Brayden soliciting prostitutes in Vienna?# This topic soared to number one on trending topics list within seconds
Countless reposts followed along with millions of comments and likes
Even worse than that though was that they blurred Jenna's face on their short video clip - if not done so, then domestic netizens would have recognized her immediately, proving that there was no prostitution involved whatsoever
"These people are garbage!" Franklin's cold gaze swept over the crowd of media reporters. "I remember all of you who are here today."
"Listen up, if you mess with Brayden and Jenna, you're messing with me and Franklin," Sylvia's eyes were as cold as stars. "We'll shut them all down, not leaving a single one!"
"Yes, Miss Andrews," Jasper quickly went to contact his buddies. These disgusting media outlets needed to be cleaned up; they were constantly reporting on false news and ruining people's reputations.
