Chapter 788

Especially when this person is your immediate superior, it feels very uncomfortable.

The meal they had tasted like chewing wax to them.

It is already late at night, there are no stars or moon in the sky, and the streetlights emit a dim yellow light.

In a secluded and remote alleyway, a man hurriedly walks forward with his head down, wearing a duckbill cap. Occasionally, he pulls on the cap on his head as if afraid of others seeing his face. When he walked up to the old gate of a dilapidated courtyard, he looked back cautiously and saw that no one was following him. He pushed open the gate and swiftly stepped inside.

With a click of the lock, he finally walked towards the main house.

The people inside the room heard a sound and walked out, "Who is it?"

The man said in a cold voice, "It's me."

The door was pushed open and a tall, thin man glanced at him and quickly said, "Mr. Wilson."

"Okay." The man's expression was cold as he entered the room, only then taking off his hat to reveal a strikingly handsome face that was almost too dazzling to look at directly.

"Any leads yet?" he asked, feeling a bit hungry as he elegantly picked up the pastry from the table and put it in his mouth.

"Mr. Wilson, we have found some records of Miss Winter..." The tall and thin man handed a document to him with some discomfort. "You can take a look at it yourself."

The man opened the file and as he saw the death record displayed on the page, a storm of emotions immediately flooded his eyes. He stared at his subordinates with a terrifying expression and exclaimed, "How is this possible? She was perfectly fine!"

"Mr. Wilson, after you went to prison, Cameron and the others forced Miss Winter to hand over the assets in her possession, and then they also controlled and confined her, and I heard that she later escaped and died with the baby in her belly on the way out."

Clark widened his eyes in shock and exclaimed, "What did you say?"

That is to say, he also lost his child.

His heart suddenly tightened, as if someone had taken countless steel needles and stabbed them fiercely.

Cameron!

Hid subordinate continued to report on the Wilson family's situation. However, Clark couldn't hear anything; his mind was consumed with one thought, "I want revenge!"

"Mr. Wilson?" His subordinate jumped in surprise, staring at him in shock.

"I need to revenge my woman and child," Clark's eyes filled with boundless hatred. "Let's go!"

The next morning, Urgford Daily published a major news story.

"Yesterday around 2 AM, a major murder occurred in the suburbs of Urgford. A family of seven was killed. The deceased were named Wilson and were previously part of Larro's wealthy family. Since the bankruptcy of Wilson Entertainment some time ago, they had moved their entire household to Urgford's suburbs. No one expected such a tragic event."

Not only did Urgford Daily report on this incident but also other media outlets like Twitter covered it too.

Netizens speculated: "Maybe it was an enemy who killed them all?"

"The Wilsons have offended so many people; it is normal for someone to seek revenge!"

"There are too many secrets within wealthy families; this must be an act of vengeance."

"Cameron has done too many disgusting things while working for Larro - he has made too many enemies."

Cody and Mrs. Wright had just woken up and hadn't even eaten breakfast yet when Cody's phone rang. "Okay, I got it."

"Cameron? Seven dead?"

"I'm leaving right now! Notify all staff that we will have a meeting at nine o'clock sharp."

Mrs. Wright just served two bowls of porridge when she heard Cody talking on the phone - she was shocked!

"Seven dead? This is already considered a major murder case! Who could be so cruel?"

"We don't know anything yet; the scene has been sealed off by police who are investigating as we speak." Cody said as he rubbed his temples feeling slightly overwhelmed.

Just recently he took over as head doctor at the plastic surgery hospital where another doctor had been murdered without any leads until now...

And now Cameron's whole family?

If they can't solve such significant cases like these, then the President might blame them later on!

Not only that but those who secretly want him out will do everything possible to manipulate public opinion forcing him out!

Thinking about this made Cody's headache worse than before.

Mrs. Wright quickly handed him a box full of milk saying,"Drink this."

Cody didn't refuse her offer since he knew how busy he would be today anyways...

Mrs. Wright sighed deeply. Ever since coming to Urgford things seemed more hectic than usual...

The children were not at home, and Cody was as busy as a spinning top. Mrs. Wright was feeling down when Vita walked out of her room and asked, "Mrs. Wright, what's wrong? Where's Mr. Wright?"

"He left. There was a murder case last night," Mrs. Wright replied before inviting Vita to have breakfast with her.

"Okay," Vita sat down at the table and looked at the sumptuous breakfast spread and the busy maid, feeling envious.

If only she could live this kind of life forever.

Unfortunately, there was an extra Jenna in her life.

Even when she was in school, Jenna didn't live frugally. With her innocent face, she had several backup boyfriends who would buy her expensive gifts like high-end cosmetics or clothes using various excuses. But compared to Brayden, these boys were too immature in terms of social status or family background as well as looks and personality.

None of them caught her eye; they were just ATM machines for spending money on her behalf.

Thinking about it made Brayden's handsome face appear in front of Jenna again.

When will he come back to the country?

Vienna's morning seemed particularly beautiful today; pulling back the curtains revealed sunlight generously sprinkling over beige Baroque buildings. Sylvia stood by the window breathing fresh air while looking outside at bright sunshine that made her squint slightly.

She planned on doing some morning exercises but heard a low magnetic voice from behind saying "Cameron is dead, along with six members of his family." "Dead? All seven?" Sylvia turned around abruptly towards Franklin who wore nothing but shorts showing off his tall muscular legs that looked especially attractive. However, Sylvia cared more about Cameron's case right now than Franklin's appearance, so she walked over to look at Franklin's phone screen: "Twitter is exploding with news already? This must be a major incident."

"

"Yes," Franklin frowned while scrolling through Twitter messages. "Cody is investigating with police - this matter isn't simple."

"The Clark prison break still has no progress either; I feel something fishy going on here- once he escaped from jail Cameron died."

"You mean Clark killed him?" Sylvia raised an eyebrow. "Did they have any conflicts?"

Franklin continued scrolling through Twitter messages. "Cameron wasn't very smart - probably had some grudge against Clark which needed further investigation."

"Okay, I'll have Vaild and Mark keep an eye on it," Sylvia said These two had been sent out to expand their business in the dark night district for a while, but they finally returned home recently. "Sylvia, got it," Vaild replied.

"I and Vaild will investigate right away," Mark quickly responded. He couldn't afford to be sent out again after just returning home.

Just then, Brayden knocked on the door and asked if Franklin and Sylvia were awake. "Do you know about Cameron's case?" he asked seriously.

"Yes, let's talk about it at breakfast," Sylvia nodded. "And where is Jenna?"

Brayden blushed inexplicably and looked embarrassed as he replied that she was getting ready.

Sylvia raised an eyebrow suspiciously at him. Something seemed off with his behavior lately.

Ignoring Mrs. Ritter's snide comment about them being targeted by enemies if they didn't do good deeds, Sylvia retorted back with a smile, "Mrs. Ritter is absolutely right! Doing good deeds is essential in life! In fact, we've donated over one hundred million dollars to charity through my foundation."

Mrs. Ritter was left speechless as Sylvia once again emerged victorious in their verbal sparring match.

Evelyn and her tablemates let out a collective sigh of despair.

They knew they were in for a tough time dealing with the club president's sour attitude. How could they possibly stomach it?

Evelyn even felt some resentment towards Mrs. Ritter, who always seemed to pick on Sylvia despite being unable to win an argument against her.

These past few days had made it clear to Evelyn that there was deep-seated animosity between the Ritter and Wright families.

She was starting to hesitate about continuing as Ashlyn's lackey - what if she ended up on the losing side? Mrs. Ritter didn't seem like someone who ever defeated Sylvia.
