After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities -
Chapter 799
Chapter 799
Franklin held Sylvia tightly in his arms, his narrow eyes scanning the surroundings with caution. This was his private hunting ground, how could anyone sneak in?
He squinted slightly, his eyes filled with a cold and murderous intent. His tall figure exuded an inexplicable sense of threat and the icy breath emanating from him made people submit from the bottom of their hearts.
He didn't even need to say anything to exert an irresistible pressure that seemed to be born for killing.
It was obvious that their target was Sylvia. Franklin's brow furrowed and a fierce flame of anger surged up in his chest as he glared coldly at the depths of the forest where countless black-clad men were closing in on them, each wielding a bow and arrow.
His powerful hand clenched tightly under camouflage clothing as he pursed his lips and furrowed his brows menacingly. His unparalleled handsome face looked terrifyingly dark.
With one swift motion, he unleashed a powerful force like that of a cheetah rushing towards the leader among those black-clad men.
A gust of wind blew past them!
Sylvia immediately reacted by raising her own hunting rifle and shooting at the oncoming black-clad men while aiming carefully before pulling the trigger with a loud bang which brought down one person instantly.
A strong wind blew through rustling leaves in the forest as Franklin's face turned even darker while charging towards their attackers with imposing momentum.
The leader's pupils shrank suddenly upon seeing him coming straight at him like death itself before being hit hard by Franklin's fist.
The rest of those black-clad men were terrified beyond words since they had been hired mercenaries who had never been so scared before but this man was more frightening than Death himself!
Franklin narrowed his eyes dangerously as dangerous information flashed across them. "Dare to come assassinate my woman? You'll pay for it!"
"We don't want to kill her! We want you dead!" The black-clad men couldn't help but scream inwardly since this man seemed scarier than Death itself!
The man moved like lightning drawing two pistols out from nowhere firing left-right continuously making gunshots sound "bang-bang-bang" repeatedly echoing throughout forest...
The black-clad men were not to be outdone. They shot arrows and drew guns, causing chaos in the forest.
Sylvia felt a fierce wind behind her and quickly dodged to one side, narrowly avoiding a bullet. She immediately raised her hunting rifle and took down another man. Frowning, she realized she was out of bullets.
A mysterious glint flashed in her dark eyes as she charged towards the two nearest black-clad men, kicking them hard in the face with her long legs.
This woman was ruthless! More so than any other woman they had ever encountered.
One of the black-clad men swallowed hard and tried to focus on killing Franklin. As long as this man died, they would get their ten million dollars.
Franklin's cold gaze grew even colder as he furrowed his brow. A gust of wind swept through, freezing the air despite it being a scorching hot day.
The black-clad men felt an icy chill surround them and their pores stood on end. For money... they had to kill this man no matter how terrifying or powerful he seemed!
"We have more people! We can win!" one of them shouted loudly.
"Good!" Franklin sneered at these people.
His sharp eyes gleamed fiercely before he said "Honey! Here!" Sylvia looked down at what was placed into her hand - a dagger that shone with an icy light - obviously made from high-quality steel that could cut through anything like butter!
She smiled wickedly while staring at those who dared approach them; making all of their hair stand up on end just by looking back at her menacingly!
The palms of the black-clothed men began sweating profusely; why was this woman so strong?
They themselves were seasoned warriors who had completed countless missions and killed countless people but somehow couldn't help feeling oppressed by Sylvia's aura which caused them to take a step back involuntarily...
Just then, Sylvia suddenly moved forward again without warning!
The dagger flashing with cold light pierced his chest instantly causing him to widen his eyes incredulously before falling heavily onto the ground without breath left within him...
Meanwhile, Franklin narrowed his eyes slightly before punching another enemy forcefully and causing all his ribs to break apart.
In the face of this domineering and powerful man, these mercenaries couldn't hold their ground. When only three or four men in black remained, they couldn't help but want to escape.
But under Franklin's wolf-like gaze, their legs trembled as if they were filled with lead.
"Let's go! Hurry!" One of the shorter men urged his companions. If they stayed any longer, they would all die and be defeated.
However, just as they turned to run away, Franklin's tall figure descended like a hawk and pounced on their backs.
He stomped on the chest of the smaller man. "Tell me who sent you!"
The small man's face changed suddenly and turned pale. "We are mercenaries. I'd rather die than tell you!" He bit down on a poison pill hidden in his teeth and spewed out black blood from his mouth before dying with rolled eyes.
Franklin's handsome face darkened slightly; his deep eyes were as dark as an abyss.
Sylvia also ran over; when other mercenaries saw that things weren't going well for them either, they also bit down on poison pills hidden in their mouths. Sylvia wanted to stop them but it was too late now. The air was filled with a strong smell of blood.
"They came prepared and were extremely well-prepared," said Franklin with a sinking gaze.
"There are too many people who want to kill us," said Sylvia indifferently; she squatted down and tore open one of the black-clad men's shirts while searching for clues among their bodies."
Franklin raised an eyebrow at her actions."Tearing off another man's shirt right in front of me?"
Sylvia glared at him."Are you jealous? Can't you see that I'm examining corpses for clues?"
These mercenary groups usually had organization and discipline within themselves since everyone belonged to one group or another. She just wanted to replace out which organization these people belonged to by looking at their tattoos
She looked at the wolf head tattoo on one mercenary's chest while narrowing her eyes. "It belongs to Wolf Association... It seems necessary that we investigate this association since they dared assassinate us!"
"I've heard about Wolf Association before; its mercenaries are very brutal," said Franklin coldly while staring intently at that wolf head tattoo."They rank ninth among global mercenary associations so we can consider them an old-school powerhouse."
It seemed like indeed these people belonged to Wolf Association after all...
"We should head back," Sylvia nodded. "Bring our catch with us."
Franklin agreed, knowing that they had just been through a life and death struggle and Sylvia was exhausted.
On the way back, Franklin carried their catch while holding Sylvia's hand as they slowly made their way to the car.
The ride back to Vienna was smooth and they parked in the hotel's underground garage.
Once in their room, both Franklin and Sylvia were covered in blood. They quickly undressed, with Franklin offering to take care of their clothes while Sylvia took a hot shower.
Sylvia fell asleep immediately after getting into bed, too tired to wait for Franklin who had gone out to dispose of their bloody clothes.
She woke up at seven o'clock that evening feeling refreshed but found herself alone in bed. She got dressed and saw that Franklin was still sleeping beside her.
Just then there was a knock on the door. It was Brayden calling out for them about the barbecue party planned for that night on the rooftop terrace.
Sylvia told him they would be there soon as she needed to wake up Franklin first since he had been exhausted from hunting all day long.
After handing over their catch earlier at the hotel kitchen where it would be prepared by chefs later on into thin slices or skewered pieces, Jasper and Brayden set up some barbecue grills on top of the rooftop
terrace.
Jenna offered to help Brayden grill meat but he declined saying she should stay away from smoke which could make her uncomfortable before giving her hand an affectionate kiss and leaving Jenna blushing bright red!
When Franklin arrived with Sylvia later on, Jasper and Brayden already had some venison grilled ready for everyone's enjoyment!
The delicious aroma of grilled meat wafted through the night air, tempting and alluring. Sylvia sniffed appreciatively. "Smells amazing!"
After sleeping for so long, her stomach was definitely growling.
"You two are so inconsiderate," Brayden couldn't help but speak up when he saw Franklin. He added a hint of teasing to his tone. "You didn't even invite us to go hunting with you."
"We wanted some alone time," Franklin smirked wickedly, his lips curling into a sly grin.
